LIBERAL FOR A DAY
I thought I would cross the red/blue line and see what it's like to be a Liberal, for a little while anyway.

I'm poor damn it. Why isn't the government using your tax dollars to help me. It's their fault I'm where I am in the first place.

Why aren't they paying me reparations for five-hundred years of mistreatment to my people? Even if the governments that did it are long gone, this government still owes me for what they didn't do.

I don't know what you all are complaining about. The border isn't a big issue. We have no proof that a terrorist has crossed, or will ever cross, into the United States. To try and stop it before it happens is paramount to a police state.

The media isn't Liberal. That's just in your paranoid heads.

People who are pro-life shouldn't be on the judicial bench.

So what if the government has to take your home for that new shopping mall. It's in the best interest of the city.

Who cares if war has liberated country after country and millions upon millions of people, it's never really accomplished anything.

That wasn't fun at all. I like having a sensible mind.

Chris,
Very good.
I had a good laugh this morning and I needed it.

I'd this to your list:
200 million dead is a small price to pay for my utopian ideas come true.

Yeah we just want to give the government the power to steal your homes. Except that half the country votes Democratic so amend that to "our homes." Yeah that's right, "liberals" and "Democrats" aren't just the people in government there's also your friends and neighbors. I don't know ANYONE who agreed with the Supreme Court ruling on eminent domain.

Doesn't the Supreme Court have a majority of conservative judges?

Eh, the only one of the above statements you made Chris that I agree with his:
"The media isn't Liberal. That's just in your paranoid heads."

As I've said before, it takes several thousand Americans dying in one go for the media to pin anything on him, while with Clinton, every little thing was a scandal (no, I'm not just talking his sex life either).

The first statement is wrong, just because of the second sentence. It's nobody's fault people are poor - they're either born into poverty or not. It's the government's job to make sure that the majority of people can live a safe life, and that requires giving aid to the poor. Incidentally, you might want to read the latest post in Insanity about poverty - it's a lot scarier than you think.

The government doesn't need to pay reparations for what they did - it's just a nice gesture since it screwed over the majority of Indians from then onwards.

As I've said before, it actually jeopardises a terrorist's mission to enter the country illegally, and given that such organisations as Al-Qaeda are funded by millionaires like bin Laden, they don't need to get in illegally.

People who are incapable of seeing any position but their own shouldn't be on the judicial bench.

Ugh... don't get me started on the houses crap - but as I said above, conservative judges.

War hasn't liberated "country after country" - war generally put them in that position in the first place.

This is why I believe you to be incapable of seeing any position bar your own.

Ah, but only one Conservative judge, if you can call David Souter Conservative, voted for eminent domain while all four Liberals voted yes.
