THEME OF THE MONTH
John Lee Hooker-Hobo Blues.wma

What do music do? It keeps the world turning. If there wasn't no music, this world would be a sad place to live

Amen. John Lee Hooker. Master of the delta blues. Straight out of Mississippi. He never learned to read or write too well, but he created some of the best music in American history. Quite possibly the coolest man to play the blues. You can't listen to rock without hearing some John Lee Hooker influence. Sadly we lost this legend in 2001, but his music will live on. I could have went with one of his bigger songs, Boom, Boom, Boogie Chillun or Huckle Up Baby, but I wanted to go with a little lesser known song. That's jus the way I am. I like songs that don't become big hits more than the ones that do. Also because this song's about freedom. Just take off and live by your own rules. No worries. No concerns. At least that's what I read into it.
