LESS SAFE?
What's been one of the biggest arguments against Bush and the War On Terror from the Left? That going into Iraq has made the United States less safe. Well, like on everything else, the facts fly right in the face of the Democrats. Since September 2001, four years and five months, we've only had the one terror attack against America. And none since going to war with two Muslim countries. Just thought I would point this out.
THE NSA's UP TO THEIR OLD TRICKS
Do a search for "NSA Cookies" and see what kind of coverage this story's getting. Those bastards. But wait, GOP.com also uses cookies. I wonder what they want? Wait, again, DNC.com also uses them. As does Yahoo, Google, Amazon, The Daily Spork, We Surf For You, Haloscan, Tinypic and Wal-Mart. People need to just calm down a little.

Craig McCarthy has set up a petition to stop taxpayer funding of the ACLU, quite a while ago. We are trying to help Craig reach at least 25,000 signatures. We are not that far away.

Reason #3 Why I Hate The ACLU.
Because the following is a scenario I could see as actually taking place.

PROTECTING AMERICA
According to a Rassmusen poll, 64% of the American people think the NSA spying on terrorists is a good idea. With a majority of both parties agreeing. See, the majority of America understands that Big Media loves to spin against Bush. They're making this whole story seem as if Bush ordered that the average man on the street be tapped when it was actually only known terrorists calling into this country. FNC is the only outlet that has tried to present the facts in this story, but sadly they haven't done a very good job of it. At least from the stories I've seen anyway.

WEDNESDAY HEROES
Comanche Code Talkers
This weeks Wednesday Hero isn't centered around just one soldier. It's about a whole race of soldiers. The Indian Code Talkers. For those that don't know who they were, they were American Indian soldiers who worked their respective languages into a code for the military to use. There're two misunderstandings most people have about the Indian Code Talkers.

1) That they were only Navajo. That's because they're the most famous. But there were also Comanche and Choctaw Code Talkers with Choctaw being the first.

2) That they were only used during W.W.II. They were also used during W.W.I.

Now what's so special about the Code Talkers is that the Germans and Japanese had broken every code system the United States had used. Except one. Had it not been for the Indian Code Talkers, the outcome of either war may very well have been very different.

Great link you should read.

There's a great movie out called Windtalkers that's about the Code Talkers. It stars Nicholas Cage and Adam Beach. If you've never seen it, this would be the perfect time to do so.

Bought my dog a toy. Can anyone tell me what this looks like?

ONE FOR THE TEXT BOOKS
The impeachment of Bill Clinton, only the second president in history, is now starting to show up in history books in school.
"This is very difficult for everybody, because it's so fresh," said Gilbert Sewall, director of the American Textbook Council, an independent research group that reviews history texts used in schools. "It's easier to nail down history like the transcontinental railroad. With Clinton, you're dealing with material that has by no means been settled"
It's not that difficult. Bill Clinton lied under oath and was impeached for it. Sound simple to me and any other rational person. Ah, but we're not dealing with rational people. We're dealing with Liberals. But I have to give credit to the AP. At least they understand why he was impeached.
"The House impeached Clinton on charges of lying to a federal grand jury and obstructing justice to conceal his affair with Lewinsky, a White House intern"
If you thought kids today were getting a bad education, wait a few years when more books are written about this. Here's some of what today's books are saying about.
" Middle school texts describe it as 'a personal relationship between the president and a White House intern.' In high school books, it is Clinton's 'improper relationship with a young White House intern,' or Clinton 'denied having sexual relations' with an intern'"
Talk about spin. Sadly, we're going to have a generation of kids who're going to believe he was the victim.

AMERICA HATES EARTH?
For the longest time America has been criticized, bashed and chastised for not sighing onto the money waster known as the Kyoto Protocol. Well, it seems perfect Europe isn't holding up their end of the bargain. Of the 15 European countries that have signed onto Kyoto, only five have met their targets to lower greenhouse gasses. So before the French and Germans stick their noses in our bushiness, maybe they should look at their own countries.

MY STOCKING RUNNETH OVER
I know I said I would return today, but I had to post about poor Santa yesterday. Luckily, he got to me before the ACLU had him arrested. Some Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton and Elvis albums. Some nice leather gloves and a nice set of 2.1 speakers for the computer. Going from my original, and I mean original 1997 Packard Bell first computer I ever had, speakers with no bass to a subwoofer is awesome. He also left me a little something in my sock. Yes, my mother still hangs a sock for me at her house. A lent roller and toenail clippers. Greta will get that one. For the rest of you, read this. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and for you wacky Jews, Happy However It's Spelled. 8 days of gifts. I cry foul.

SANTA CLAUS ARRESTED
Dec. 25, 11:25 PM (CT)

SAN FRANCISCO (RWRM News) - Santa Clause was arrested early Sunday morning by San Francisco Police at the behest of the ACLU. The jolly fat man known the world over for bringing presents to good little boys and girls was arrested Christmas morning on charges of instigating a riot when citizens of San Francisco began to burn cars and destroy private property upon hearing Mr. Claus reciting, "Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas".

"I was incensed" said one woman. "How dare he say something like that. Chri... Chris... I can't even say it. All I know is it offended me and my children".

Anthony RomeroSaid Anthony Romero, ACLU Executive Director, "This is a great day for freedom. This Mr. Claus has been going around the world spreading his religious hatespeech far too long. We will not sit idly by and let people say the 'C' word like this. It must be stopped. We plan to take this matter to the highest court in the land. Mr. Kringle must be stopped".

After hearing about the arrest children all over the world began to cry. Mrs. Sarah Stephens, mother of three, said "We depend on Santa. We can't afford to buy our children toys for Christmas and he wasn't able to make it to our house this year. What are we to do now?" Upon hearing this, Mr. Romero was quoted as saying, "Too bad. Contact the government. That's what they're there for. To take care of us".

Mr. Kringle was said to be just finishing up at an orphanage when the police nabbed him.

Santa Mugshot"This is bullshit," said Santa about his arrest. "I've never heard of such trumped up charges in my life. This is just another example of the Neo-Libs trying to force their views on the rest of the country. Kids, don't worry, Santa will beat this. MERRY CHRISTMAS...MERRY CHRISTMAS".

Mr. Kringle's lawyer, Alan Thomas, rushed to his defense. "Mr. Claus is innocent of all charges", he said during a press conference. "The ACLU and the city of San Francisco are trying to silence a man for doing only one thing. Exorcising his first amendment right. This travesty of justice will be rectified. Christmas will not be stopped". Upon saying that Mr. Thomas was then arrested himself.

"This has gotten out of hand", said one man who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal. "This whole anti-Christmas sentiment that's sweeping though this country has gone too far. I was too scared to even put up lights this year. My children were threatened by their school mates just last week for bringing candy canes to class".

Ms. Heather Fong, San Francisco Chief Of Police, refused to return our calls. But Officer Thomas Hall said, "That old man sure can put up a fight. He took three of our best before we were able to subdue him".

Blitzen and Comet were said to inconsolable after the arrest. But Dasher had this to say, "Santa will not be in jail for long. I guarantee that. This injustice will not stand. FIGHT THE POWER!!!".

For the past two years I've posted a line from a song that I think is very appropriate for this time of year. It's from a Stephen Stills song.

If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.

Not everyone's able to be with their loved one's this time of year. If you're one of those, just remember that a family isn't always blood related. It's also those that care about you. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE
With the coming new year comes a new look for the blog. But there's a problem. I have worked out that I like and I can't decide which one to use. So, I'm going to let you all choose which one I use. No pictures of what they look like, sorry. The first one is a more serious look. Solid lines and colors. Real straight forward, professional looking. The second is more cartoony. In fact, it is a cartoon. Light-hearted and fun. Let me know which one you would rather see.

SURE, NO BIAS
Stolen from Opinionnation.
Clinton launched an illegal and immoral war in Bosnia and Kosovo, appeased terrorism, lied (and I'm not talking about Monica), killed innocent civilians in Iraq, bombed Iraq on the same Intel Bush used, made regime change in Iraq US policy, divided the country, is a redneck from Arkansas, Pardoned hundreds of criminals, Halliburton was used for contracts, employed shady staff like Sandy Berger, and many more. Using Liberal logic Bush and Clinton are the same.
So, if there's no bias towards Bush in the mainstream media, Za, why did they never harp on this stuff. Other than the redneck from Arkansas thing that is, being that I'm a redneck from Oklahoma. I don't remember BM calling Clinton a criminal for his illegal attacks on Iraq and Afghanistan or sending troops to Bosnia, Kosovo or Mogadishu like they do with Bush & Iraq. Other than Monica, he was pretty much sainted by the media. Hell, they make it seem like he was impeached for receiving oral sex from her rather than his crime of lying under oath.

Mogadishu. That's something a lot of people seem to have forgotten. Thank God Bush isn't some yellow coward like Clinton was. Pulling out the first time things got hairy. Then leaving Somalia in the hands of the U.N.

WEDNESDAY HERO
Army Specialist Peter Navarro
Army Specialist Peter Navarro
20 years old from Wildwood, Missiouri
2nd Battalion, 70th Armor, 3rd Brigade Combat Team
December 13, 2005

A Ballwin family, still grieving over the loss of one son, is coming to grips with the death of another, killed Tuesday in Iraq.
Army Specialist Peter Navarro was 20 years old, and only one month away from coming home.

Navarro's father, Jose, says, "In our last conversation he told us, 'Don't send any mail because on December 20th, we won't be getting anymore mail for our unit.' They were getting ready to head back."

Then on Tuesday, his parents received the terrible news.

Their son was part of a mission to secure an area for Iraq's historic parliamentary elections. "An explosive device detonated, killing everybody in the Humvee," says Navarro.

Navarro and three members of his unit were killed.

"He died because he was trying to make a difference, and being a soldier was what was making a difference in this time of life," says his father.

Jose Navarro spent 23 years as a Navy medic.

Following in his father's footsteps, Peter joined the Army right after graduation from Lafayette High School in 2003, forgoing his acceptance at Truman State.

And just six months ago, the Navarros suffered another tragedy. Their middle son, Daniel, died in an accident.

On a visit home, Peter, concerned for his unit's safety, decided not to take an extended leave. He told his mother, Rowena, "'They're already one man short back there and he didn't want that. Somebody's taking my place and that's not fair.' He said, 'They'd do the same thing for me.'"

The Navarros, still grieving for one son, must now bury their oldest child.
"He touched so many hearts. When you become a friend with Peter you have a friend for life."

These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

Classic rendition of a classic.
SPYGATE(C) 2
I wasn't going to get into this aspect of this "story", but I broke down. It's kind of telling that the New York Times sat on this for a year only to break their silence just in time for a book release putting the troops and the American people in even more harm. Now that al-Qaeda knows how we spy on them they change their was of communication making us have to start all over again.

Sorry, that's the best title I could come up with.

I can't wait for Bubba's criticism on this NSA/Bush story.
WHY I HATE UNIONS
This is why I hate labor unions. They use blackmail to get what they want. "You need to get to work? Too bad, we want more money". "Hospital? Tough, we want less hours". In a study done by UCLA, hardly a Conservative school, we have proof that the media leans Left. This study looks at the actual news pages, not editorials. But read the piece. It's rather interesting.
"Five news outlets - 'NewsHour With Jim Lehrer,' ABC's 'Good Morning America,' CNN's 'NewsNight With Aaron Brown,' Fox News' 'Special Report With Brit Hume' and the Drudge Report - were in a statistical dead heat in the race for the most centrist news outlet. Of the print media, USA Today was the most centrist."

PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS
Well, I was going to write out a post talking about W's speech but I think Deo said everything that needs to be said. It was one of the best speeches of his presidentcy.
"From this office, nearly three years ago, I announced the start of military operations in Iraq. Our coalition confronted a regime that defied United Nations Security Council resolutions, violated a cease-fire agreement, sponsored terrorism and possessed, we believed, weapons of mass destruction. After the swift fall of Baghdad, we found mass graves filled by a dictator, we found some capacity to restart programs to produce weapons of mass destruction, but we did not find those weapons.

It is true that Saddam Hussein had a history of pursuing and using weapons of mass destruction. It is true that he systematically concealed those programs, and blocked the work of UN weapons inspectors. It is true that many nations believed that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. But much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong. And as your president, I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq"

"That is an important question, and the answer depends on your view of the war on terror. If you think the terrorists would become peaceful if only America would stop provoking them, then it might make sense to leave them alone.

The terrorists do not merely object to American actions in Iraq and elsewhere -- they object to our deepest values and our way of life. And if we were not fighting them in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Southeast Asia and in other places, the terrorists would not be peaceful citizens -- they would be on the offense, and headed our way"
Amen brother. And you can read the rest for yourself.
SPYGATE(C)
Sen. Harry Reid is calling for an investigation into Spygate(C) (remember where you first heard that word when BM starts using it).
Reid acknowledged that he was briefed by the administration about the surveillance program 'a couple of months ago.' But he said the program apparently has been going on for four years and 'there's no way the president can pass the buck.'"
Uh, I don't think he has. I mean, he came out just yesterday and said that yes, the government has does this on his orders.
"Bush acknowledged Saturday that since October 2001 he has authorized the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on international phone calls and e-mails of people within the United States without seeking warrants from courts."
So how is he "passing the buck"? If the government's listening to your phone calls, it's not because they want your mother's recipe for apple brown better. It's because you've been doing something that would cause concern. Call me crazy, but I think human life is more important than privacy. And I was called un-American for that view by someone.

I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE, SOMEBODY'S WATCHING ME
Americans are being spied on. Again, I reiterate what I've already said about this. I don't care. If they're doing these taps without the court-approved warrant they're doing it for good reason. It's not as if they're randomly tapping my or your phone just to see what we're talking about. If they're monitoring calls from known al-Qaeda members and they call someone in the U.S., I want the government to tap that persons phone when they have to. Not wait three months for the warrant to be approved.

KING FLOP
I thought King Kong was to be the biggest movie ever? Every critic in the country was saying it would surpass Titanic. Oops. Less than $10M the first day and just over $6M Thursday. Pokemon beat King Kong for opening day ticket sales. Ha! I guess nobody wants to see a movie about a horny ape. That's why I hate movie critics. These morons thing that just because they like it everyone will. I do a better job when I play critic here. Speaking of which:

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club BandStarring Bee Gees and Peter Frampton W/ George Burns, Alice Cooper, Steve Martin and Aerosmith. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band gets a record deal with a major label and leaves town. Mean Mr. Lemon comes in, buys the town and gets rid of the original Sgt. Peppers instruments which causes the town to fall into debauchery. I'm not a big Beatles fan, but I do like the music from the Sgt. Pepper album. This movie was a big flop in theaters, ala King Kong, but I don't really see why. I liked it. It was kind of slow a points but it had a pretty good story. The biggest gripe I have is the discoization of Beatles music. By 1979 the Beatles had broke up so they couldn't be in it to sing their songs themselves, so they had the Bee Gees and Frampton do most of them. They could have done better. Kind of campy, a saccharin love story and "amazing" special effects. However, Earth, Wind And Fire and Aerosmith stole the show. Also, at the end she how many celebs you can spot singing. Over all, good movie but not for everyone.3-Stars1/2
WHY?
I've lost some respect for FNC.
RANDOM THOUGHTS XII: THE DIRTY DOZEN
It's been six months since I've done a RT post. I didn't know it was that long. Anyway, for those that don't know, Random Thoughts is a post I do every once and awhile where I just ramble on with any 'ol crap that's in my mind. Let's get started.

Beating A Dead Horse
If you've been with me long enough, you understand that.
2006 Hummer H1
That's the only true Hummer, but in black. That new H3 is a bastardized disgrace. Shame on you if you drive one.

Am I the only one who needs to read something while in the bathroom? Come one guys, don't leave me hanging here.

"I'm a smooth operator. A big dictator"

Speaking of bathroom, I hate it when I go to brush my teeth and the water is ice cold. I have sensitive teeth. That cold water hurts. I could just let it get hot, but that takes forever. Electric water heater. And if you've never had an electric water heater, you know nothing.

Does anyone else think it a little hypocritical when a radio station plays a "Happy Holiday" ad just before going into a Christmas song?

I wish I had Jedi powers. The Jedi Mind Trick rules.

The War In Iraq isn't illegal. The first time Saddam violated the Gulf War truce we had every right to go in. So there.

How can anyone think Julia Roberts is good looking? She looks like a damn horse.

I tried to watch the original 1933 King Kong the other day... I fell asleep. I don't like black and white movies, except High Noon, 12 Angry Men and The Grapes Of Wrath. Other than those, b&w movies bore me.

I have an extra tooth.

tuo siht erugif uoy naC.

Does anyone here watch Hardball W/ Chris Matthews? Okay, stupid question. I want to know why he has such a hard on for this CIA "leak" "story". That's been his focus all week long. Trying to tell us the new info that's out there (re-hash). And going crazy wondering if Rove will go to jail. He's been asking everyone under the sun if Rove's going to prison. Do you thing Rove will be indicted. Will Rove go to jail? Yesterday for example, the headline on his story was something to the effect of Rove Indictment Today? I swear, if you watch him while he's talking about this you'll see his arm moving back and forth under his desk.

Why is the media, other than FNC, denying there's an attack on Christmas? According to them the only one's who believe there is are the ignorant Right-Wing Christian fundamentalist. I'm not a Christian, but I know there's an attack on Christmas.

Speaking of which, we've seen the stupidity of renaming the Christmas tree to Holiday tree. I wonder when the Left will rename the baby Jesus to Holiday Infant. Thanks to Jay Leno for that one.

Is Eric Clapton not a musical genius?

A FIFTY CENT MILLIONAIRE
Does anyone remember that story earlier this week where that semi-truck carrying the mail crashed? Well, I think my electric bill was on that truck. My normal bill is $125, this month it was $250. Two hundred and fifty dollars. I won't say the things I said on here, but you can image. So I called the electric company and they said they never got my payment. Piss off #2. So the other night going around town I notice EVERYONE has their Christmas lights off. So I'm thinking, "Huh, everyone's bill must have went skyhigh because of their lights". Then yesterday all the lights were back on. And this morning it hit me about that truck. Way too many people leaving their lights off one night then turning them back on for it to be anything else but that all our bills were on that truck. Anyone else notice anything like that?

ACLU: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
"WASHINGTON - The American Civil Liberties Union today expressed disappointment with the failure of the House to protect the liberty and freedom of innocent Americans when that body adopted flawed legislation to reauthorize the Patriot Act. The White House and its allies had placed enormous pressure on lawmakers to adopt the proposal that now heads to the Senate."
The ACLU noted that the conference report fails to require individualized suspicion before people's financial, medical or library records can be gathered by the FBI, as unanimously adopted by the Senate. ACLU Website

This is nothing more than feeding unnecessary paranoia for those who live in a state of Orwellian fear. First of all, I can’t understand why people are so afraid of someone seeing their library records. If it's a public library, it's a public record. That includes any library that accepts public funding, which means virtually all college and high school libraries as well. There is a check and balance involved, because before someone’s records can be obtained only after being approved by a federal judge. It would be a total waste of time for the FBI to care what someone is looking at in a Library, unless some other act of theirs puts up a flag that an investigation should be warranted. The ACLU are using scare tactics, creating the fear of Big Brother invading the libraries, when in fact investigators in ordinary criminal cases have been able to gain access to library records long before 9/11. The Feds already had these tools for cases in domestic criminal activities, the Patriot Act only extends these tools to investigators to use against terrorists. {Now, for my say on this part. I agree whole heartedly. The FBI doesn't give a rats ass what I or you are reading unless we've done something that would have grabbed their attention in the first place. They're not just going to go to a random library and demand to see who's checking what books out.}

Alberto Gonzales writes in the Washinton Post
"Those who voice concern that Congress is rushing to reauthorize the expiring provisions fail to recognize the oversight it has conducted. In 2005, Congress held 23 hearings focused on reauthorization and heard from more than 60 witnesses. The Justice Department was pleased to provide witnesses at 18 of those hearings, with more than 30 appearances by our experts. I testified three times, explaining the importance of the act, responding to concerns and directly addressing the act's critics. My testimony was informed not only by the successes of the act but also by my personal meetings with representatives from groups such as the ACLU and the American Library Association. During the reauthorization discussion, I asked that certain provisions be clarified to ensure the protection of civil liberties, and Congress responded.

For example, Section 215 of the act permits the government to obtain records on an order issued by a federal judge. I agreed that the statute should allow a recipient of such an order to consult a lawyer and challenge it in court. Further, I agreed that Congress should make explicit the standard under which such orders are issued: relevance to an authorized national security investigation. In 2001 one prominent Democratic senator agreed that the "FBI has made a clear case that a relevance standard is appropriate for counterintelligence and counterterrorism investigations, as well as for criminal investigations."

The president has said that our number-one priority is preventing another catastrophic terrorist attack. Congress must act immediately and reauthorize the Patriot Act before the men and women in law enforcement lose the tools they need to keep us safe."
It isn't suprising that the ACLU would be against this, after all we are talking about an organization that thinks Gitmo detainees have the right to remain silent when interrogated. However, for the ACLU to pretend they care about people's privacy is a joke. The ACLU have been against the Patriot Act since it was first introduced. There have been no verified civil liberties abuses in the four years of the act's existence. Where privacy matters are concerned, the ACLU's record is much more tainted.

Just last year, the ACLU came under fire over privacy concerns.
"The American Civil Liberties Union is using sophisticated technology to collect a wide variety of information about its members and donors in a fund-raising effort that has ignited a bitter debate over its leaders' commitment to privacy rights.

Some board members say the extensive data collection makes a mockery of the organization's frequent criticism of banks, corporations and government agencies for their practice of accumulating data on people for marketing and other purposes.

Daniel S. Lowman, vice president for analytical services at Grenzebach Glier & Associates, the data firm hired by the A.C.L.U., said the software the organization is using, Prospect Explorer, combs a broad range of publicly available data to compile a file with information like an individual's wealth, holdings in public corporations, other assets and philanthropic interests.

The issue has attracted the attention of the New York attorney general, who is looking into whether the group violated its promises to protect the privacy of its donors and members.

"It is part of the A.C.L.U.'s mandate, part of its mission, to protect consumer privacy," said Wendy Kaminer, a writer and A.C.L.U. board member. "It goes against A.C.L.U. values to engage in data-mining on people without informing them. It's not illegal, but it is a violation of our values. It is hypocrisy."

The organization has been shaken by infighting since May, when the board learned that Anthony D. Romero, its executive director, had registered the A.C.L.U. for a federal charity drive that required it to certify that it would not knowingly employ people whose names were on government terrorism watch lists.

A day after The New York Times disclosed its participation in late July, the organization withdrew from the charity drive and has since filed a lawsuit with other charities to contest the watch list requirement.

The group's new data collection practices were implemented without the board's approval or knowledge, and were in violation of the A.C.L.U.'s privacy policy at the time, said Michael Meyers, vice president of the organization and a frequent and strident internal critic. Mr. Meyers said he learned about the new research by accident Nov. 7 in a meeting of the committee that is organizing the group's Biennial Conference in July.

He objected to the practices, and the next day, the privacy policy on the group's Web site was changed. "They took out all the language that would show that they were violating their own policy," he said. "In doing so, they sanctified their procedure while still keeping it secret."
The ACLU has no room to talk. They need to sit down and shut up. The Patriot Act is a vital tool for law enforcement to keep us safe. The Senate does not need to let this important legislation expire.

Back to me again. I'm going to say something that might not go over to well with some. But in this day and age I'm willing to sacrifice some of my freedoms to insure my safety. I think my life and the lives of the America people are more important than our privacy. If the FBI wants to check my background I'm okay with it. If they want to institute a fingerprint database, I'm okay with it. If they want to bring in I.D. cards, I'm fine with it. If it prevents a nuke from going off inside the United States, I'm happy. I can just see those retards in the ACLU pulling their hair out reading something like that. Maybe I should e-mail it to them.

NEW TARGET ACQUIRED
First Afghanistan. Then Iraq. Now Iran. If this Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wants to pretend he's a big dog let him, but it's not a smart move. And while I'm on this subject, may I just say how nice it is to have a president, W, who has the balls to be in office.George W. Bush He's accepted responsibility for going to war on faulty intelligence, we're still waiting for France, Germany, Russia and England to apologize for that faulty intelligence by the way, and says that knowing what he knows now he still would have went into Iraq. Thank God he's in office and not some white flag, yellow spine, weak-knee, cower in the corner Liberal who cares more about what the people think about him than he does about what's right. And I'm not afraid to say this but, I love this man. And for all those pansy Liberals who continue to say that he hasn't given his plan for Iraq:
Victory will be achieved by meeting certain objectives: when the terrorists and Saddamists can no longer threaten Iraq's democracy, when the Iraqi security forces can protect their own people and when Iraq is not a safe haven for terrorists to plot attacks against our country. These objectives, not timetables set by politicians in Washington, will drive our force levels in Iraq
Exactly what he's been saying the whole time. I don't know how you can be any more clear.

What movie is this quote from.

We're not going to some white collar resort prison. No, no, no! We're going to Federal POUND ME IN THE ASS prison!

The first person to correctly answer gets a free Pink Floyd song.

I briefly considered hiding it because it may be offensive to some, but if you're offended by that then what are you doing reading this blog?

CHRISTMAS CARD
We're only 12 days away from Christmas, so I thought I would post my Christmas card. I took a turn towards the PC and mixed the Holidays/season. I put Christmas and a representation of the Star of Bethlehem for Christmas, the color blue for Hanukkah and a snowflake for the Winter season. Hope you like it. Feel free to print it out should you like to and hang with your other cards at home.

BEWARE
Okay, first, I have no idea what she's talking about but it sounded important so I thought I would re-post it here.

BLUF: The enemy has created a fake Army Knowledge Online (AKO) web page to lure you into giving up your AKO user name and password and stealing your identity. DO NOT GO TO THIS SITE.You may receive email, with a link, that directs you to go to this fake AKO site and log on. WEST SIDE
WEST SIDE!!!!
THE HYPOCRITE NAZIS
Here's something you might like. From a group called World Can't Wait. It's a Communist group, surprise surprise, that has one mission. To drive Bush out of the White House. They're also planning a "protest" during W's upcoming State Of The Union speech next month. They want to "drown him out" any way they can. They obviously can't, but is the symbolism. In other words, they want to silence him. Here's something they say on their site.
"People look at all this and think of Hitler - and they are right to do so. The Bush regime is setting out to radically remake society very quickly, in a fascist way, and for generations to come. We must act now; the future is in the balance."
But it seems that WCW has forgotten history. Because during the rlate 1920's, Hitler would send out his SS, or brown shirts, to squash every act of political speech they could find. He didn't want the people to speak their minds. So, let's review. This group, who compares Bush to Hitler, doesn't want him to exercise is freedom of speech? Wants to silence him. Who's the Hitler in this again?
THE SONG
Yesterday I posted the lyrics to a song about the 12 pains of Christmas. Well, thanks to Jake I have a link for the song. Bob Rivers - The Twelve Pains Of Christmas. Go check it out.
RACE RIOTS... NOT AMERICAN THIS TIME
Remember when Katrina hit and the rest of the world went ape shit about how we stupid Americans are so racist? Then France was hit by race riots and not too much was said about racism. At least by the French media Well, now it seems another country has been hit by racism as well. Maybe, just maybe, the rest of the "civilized" world isn't so perfect after all.

WE HAVE ROOM FOR YOU
Democrats. Are you at odds with your party? Do you feel that the extreme neo-Libs have taken over the DNC? Raping it and turning it into a haven for anti-American radicals. Do you miss the days of JFK when your leaders had a spine? Have you had enough of Howard Dean and his mouth? Well, come on over to the Republican party. We'll embrace you with open arms. We don't discriminate against you because you aren't a hardcore believer, unlike the Democrats. We have room for everyone. From Liberal Republicans like Rudy Giuliani to Conservative Democrats like Zel Miller and Joe Lieberman. The Republican party isn't the party the Left wants you to believe it is. We don't hate, unlike they do. We don't shout people down we don't agree with when they're trying to exercise their first amendment right. And the Military actually likes us. So come on over. Have a beer, coffee or a cup of tea and listen to intelligent people for once.

PINK FLOYD - MEDDLE
Pink Floyd MeddleThere is only one word to describe this album. Amazing. One of their best pieces of work. It was done after their psychedelic period but before, really just at, their experimental stage of Dark Side and The Wall. I don't use this word when talking about many things, but the sound on Meddle is beautiful. Harmonic and soothing. Done when the band was still performing as a cohesive unit they just mesh so well here. Waters's voice is perfect and Gilmour's guitar work is magic. Kind of different from other Floyd albums. It's hard to describe it to someone who hasn't heard it. A kind of distorted barbarshop quartet. This album also has the distinct pleasure of containing what many feel is Pink Floyd's worst song, Seamus. A bluesy song about a hound dog complete with a howling dog. Rather strange, but not all that bad. It also has PF's version of a country song called San Tropez. Roger Waters actually sound happy in this song. Then we have Fearless. I don't have the ability to do this song justice with my limited vocabulary. Just download it and take a listen. Also, if you're a Liverpool FC fan you may recognize the ending of this song. And finally we have what may be the longest song ever recorded. Well, the longest one I've ever heard anyway. The 23 minute Echoes. This is the song that showed everyone where they would be going with their sound in the coming years. This is the true Pink Floyd sound. I wish I could upload it, but it's 23MB and I sure don't feel like waiting for that. Bottom line, if you're a Floyd fan you need this album. If not, I don't think it'll be the one to convert you.5 Star

Quick, what movie is this from?
FaRaRaRaRa Ra-Ra-Ra-Ra.

A free Led Zepplin song to the first person to get it.
THAT'S NOT RIGHT
Is anyone else a little concerned and disheartened by the fact that I saw more about the 25th anniversary on the death of John Lennon today on the news than I saw about the anniversary of the attack at Pearl Harbor yesterday? Damn this celebrity obsessed culture we live in. 25 years ago a singer died. Okay, fine. But 64 years ago over 2000 American troops were killed in an attack that literally changed the world. I think that's a little more important than John Lennon, I don't care what kind of songs he sung. I dread the day when 9/11 becomes a secondary story to some empty-headed, flavor of the month actress' marriage to some braindead actor. That'll be the death nail for this country.

They're a Liberal group.

What, were you expecting some long elaborate explanation? If so, you either haven't been with me that long or don't know me that well. But I guess I should add a little more.

They try to force their views down our throats and conform the country to their idealized version of it. They very thing they claim to be against.

TAG, I'M IT
I've been tagged by Greta. I'm supposed to confess some things about myself. Here goes.

I Confess:

I'm still uncomfortable in the dark. I won't say afraid, but I do leave a light on
I like sappy songs even though I pretend not to
I don't like people
I'm scared of spiders
I sat by myself during lunch while in school
I once shot my nephew in the ankle with a bb gun
I don't know as much about my heritage as I should
While I don't believe in God, I do fear him. Figure that one out
I'm a timid person. I don't like confrontation
I laugh at jokes about other races but get mad when I hear one about Whites and Indians
Like Silke, I was a nerd in school. Well, geek
I have bad acne on my nose and chin
I sound like a woman on the phone and on tape. I'm trying to get a mic so I can upload an audiopost to show you all
I use to bit my toenails
I once signed my mother's name on a Science paper that I got an F on
I had to pass summer school Math to graduate
Again, like Silke, I like to sing. And to my own ears I sound like Elvis but in reality... Yoko Ono

I think I'll tag Deo & Patrick.

WEDNESDAY HEROES
Pearl Harbor
December 7, 1941
2,402 people lost their lives as a result of the attack
on Pearl Harbor.

For this weeks Wednesday Heroes I'm doing something a little different. Rather than profile a soldier I have an interview with one. LTC. Brett Perry, aka Greta's husband, was kind enough to answer a few questions I had. He just recently got back from Iraq, April 6 of this year, where he was Deputy District Engineer who was responsible for coordinating the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Iraq reconstruction effort for the Kirkuk and Sulaymaniah Provinces. And he just recently returned from Louisiana where he was helping out in the clean up efforts after Katrina and Rita.

Only seven questions. I wanted to keep it brief. He couldn't get too political in his answers as he is still on active duty. The only news we seem to be getting is from the so-called "experts", at least in their own minds, up on Capital Hill. I wanted to try and get some information straight from the horses mouth, so to speak, because no one knows what's really going better than the one's who're actually over there. Not Ted Kennedy, not Joe Lieberman, not you nor I, not even W. I hope you enjoy it.

1. Do you think the media in this country has a bias, either way, in the coverage of the war?
I think the media is biased towards reporting “bad” news. They would much rather report a plane crash than 100 successful plane landings

2. We keep hearing from certain politicians and pundits that the War In Iraq isn't part of the overall War On Terror. Do you feel the same way?
I don't understand how a rational, thinking person can differentiate between the war in Iraq and the GWOT. Iraq is the battle ground for GWOT. We chose the place and the time on this one which means we have the initiative. If we do not continue to keep the pressure on the enemy until he is destroyed then we will lose the initiative and sit around waiting to be victims again (ala 911).

3. Again, we keep hearing from certain politicians and pundits that overall morale is low. I know you left Iraq a few months ago but what did you view the morale of the soldiers to be while you were there?
Morale remains high as indicated by record high re-enlistment rates. Soldiers don't necessarily enjoy being seperated from their homes and families for long periods of time but they do like soldiering which is exactly what they get to do when deployed. The only thing that I will bring down morale is if the American people turn against them (i.e., wrong war, wrong place, wrong time)or if forced to retreat prior to victory.

4. I've said in the past that the only one's who actually know when the U.S. should pull out are the one's who're there fighting. When do you think the United States should begin to pull troops out of Iraq?
War is, and always has been, a means for achieving a national strategic objective. The military, in our Country, does not determine when those objectives are met, they only advise the elected decision makers. Personally, I believe we pull out when the mission is accomplished (as stated by the President - stable and democratic Iraq). To pull out any earlier would be a compromise and show the world we lack the resolve we proclaimed to have on Sept 12, 2001.

5. Do you think President Bush lie just so he could invade Iraq?
If you look at it objectively, probably millions of dollars have been spent trying to prove the President lied and yet not one shred of evidence (even fabricated) has been produced.

6. Are our troops dying for nothing in Iraq?
I believe no U.S. Service member ever died for “nothing”. The willingness of those to serve, throughout our history, is why we have achieved a status and standard of living as perhaps the greatest all time nation on earth. We may be peace loving but we did not achieve this status through peaceful means. We may prefer to use diplomatic and economic tools for achieving national strategic objectives but when those fail we have had and will continue to rely on our military. Also, we have historically achieved goals, forced belligerents to the negotiation table and otherwise kept those that would destroy us at bay, not through war but merely through the threat of war and fear of the U.S. Military. Every member contributes to that cause and the continued greatness and promise of our Nation. If you call that dying for nothing then I am curious what you consider dying for something.

7. And final question. As everyone knows, 99.9% of the coverage of the war is negative. Could you tell us about one positive event, that you saw, that the media didn't report on?
I saw "good news" stories every day. We were there to manage (and
fund) the construction and rehabilitation of schools, hospitals, health clinics,
police stations, fire stations, military facilities, oil infrastructure,
electric and water infrastructure, roads, etc. Sadam had let all of this
public infrastructure (even oil) deteriorate to 3rd world conditions in
order to fund the military.

I say we managed the construction because it was
Iraqi construction companies that did the construction. We were able to provide
jobs for thousands of Iraqis; always choosing to hire 5 men with shovels
instead of a backhoe. I met weekly with local government and staff (Kurds,
Sunni and Shiite) to brief them on progress and hear their priorities and
concerns.

Bottom line is all this went on like it might in a normal
functioning free society. The Iraqis I worked with wanted a free
government, the rule of law, and wanted to control their own destiny. They understood
why we were there and, don't let anyone convince you otherwise, very much
appreciated what the U.S. was doing for them. The only abnormality was the
constant threat and occasional attack by the terrorists.

I want to thank LTC. Perry and Greta for allowing me the privilege to do this. It was an honor. And to LTC. Perry. I think I speak for all my readers when I say thank you for your service to this country. You may get a little tired of hearing the word "hero" but every man and woman who puts on that uniform is just that. A hero.

Nice big band, slow swing feel and different lyrics to this one. And don't worry, Bing won't beat you if you don't like it.

REASON #88 WHY I HATE THE LEFT
This. Steven Spielberg makes a movie about the 1972 hostage situation during the Munich Olympic games and he's accused of being "too pro-Israel to make a fair movie". He doesn't show enough sympathy or the hostage takers. We need to know why they did this. Now, if he would show how evil these Jews are and that their being taken hostage was justified it would be okay. Some of you Lefties may be saying, "no where does it saying anything about the Left criticizing him". Well, I only have one thing to say about that. Get you head out of your ass. It sure ain't anyone on the Right. But I also have to go after Spielberg on something.
"I don'’t think any movie or any book or any work of art can solve the stalemate in the Middle East today. But it'’s certainly worth a try"
He thinks that a movie, by a Jew, that's sympathetic to Jews, could maybe, possibly, but not likely, perhaps lend some help to the Middle East problem? Mr. Spielberg, please refer to the above advice. They'll stop when every Jew and non-Muslim is dead.

THIS JUST IN
Indian Chris says her husband mismanaged country. He sat on his fat ass while we were attacked time after time after time.

Credit: Anthony

*February 1993 - WTC bombed by al-Qaeda. Bubba didn't care.

*October 1993 - 18 US servicemen killed by an al-Qaeda trained Somalia militia. Bubba didn't care

*June 1996 - 19 US servicemen killed in an attack on a US military housing complex in Saudi Arabia by al-Qaeda and Hezbollah. Bubba didn't care.

*February 1998 - 222 people killed in an al-Qaeda attack on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Bubba doesn't care, but because he's being investigated he proceeds to bomb an aspirin factory in the Sudan to "wag the dog", or distract from the news that Monica Lewinsky had just came before Ken Starr's grand jury to testify.

*October 2000 - 17 American sailors killed in a suicide attack on the USS Cole perpetrated by al-Qaeda. Bubba didn't care.

*September 2001 - WTC attacked when members of al-Qaeda fly planes into the North and South towers. W declares war and we have yet to have another attack on American soil.

And while not a terrorist attack, in 1996 Bubba proceeded to bomb Iraq without the consent of Congress nor the U.N. Funny how many of those who say we illegally went into Iraq forget about this.
I PONDER
Here's a question for you. Where are all the people who were angry over the U.S. showing pictures of Uday and Qusay's dead bodies now? Remember when they were saying that showing their bodies as proof of their deaths would somehow anger the Muslim world. But when the al-JaQaeda "news" network shows a tape that supposedly, I say that because officals are denying it shows the actual hit on the Marines, to be American soldiers dying where's that same anger. Shouldn't this be making us mad and angry? Oh, wait, we're not supposed to do that. It would be seen as hateful and racist. Sorry.

CHRISTMAS LISTS
With Christmas fast approaching I'm sure you've all made out your lists of what you Santa to bring you. Well, if you want your gifts I'm going to need you let me know what's on them. So sit on Santa's lap, dirty thoughts out, and tell him what you want.

Santa's going to be asking himself for

* Black wool cap. Already got it. I was good this year
* Star Trek: Enterprise Season 2 DVD boz set. Santa's a geek
* A new George Foreman grill. I've worn mine out
* Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson and The Who CD's. Santa likes to Rock
MERRY CHRISTMAS
I HATE MYSELF
If you'll remember, back in September I wrote the following in a post called Things I Just Love:

Those fake band t-shirts at places like J.C. Penny's. You see the AC/DC and Led Zeppelin shirts they carry. Those are for people who've never even heard an AC/DC or Led Zeppelin song. They buy them because they look kind of cool and go great with their $100 "worn in" look jeans.

Well, I guess you can tell where this is going. I totally lost all respect for myself today because I bought one of those shirts. A Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon shirt. I saw it and had to have it. I feel dirty.
Believe What I Believe
I'm just wondering when being pro-abortion became a prerequisite for sitting on the Supreme Court?

Example 1
Example 2
Example 3
Example 4

I mean, is abortion the ONLY thing these justices are going to rule on while on the bench? Does being pro-life somehow disqualify you from making rulings on first amendment or eminent domain cases? This has somehow gotten way out of hand. We saw it with Roberts and we're seeing it now with Alito.
The Christmas Post
I have three different things to post that have to do with Christmas, so I thought I would just put them all in one post.

First
Silent Night.mp3

My second favorite Christmas song. I don't know who sings this version but she has a beautiful voice. I think you'll like this one.

Second
The ACLU's Holiday Season poem. Enjoy.

Twas the night before December 25th and Santa's a wreck...
How to live in a world that's politically correct?
His workers no longer would answer to "Elves".
"Vertically Challenged" they were calling themselves.
And labor conditions at the north pole
Were alleged by the union to stifle the soul.

Four reindeer had vanished, without much propriety,
Released to the wilds by the Humane Society.
And equal employment had made it quite clear
That Santa had better not use just reindeer.
So Dancer and Donner, Comet and Cupid,
Were replaced with 4 pigs, and you know that looked stupid!

The runners had been removed from his sleigh;
The ruts were termed dangerous by the E.P.A.
And people had started to call for the cops
When they heard sled noises on their roof-tops.
Second-hand smoke from his pipe had his workers quite frightened.
His fur trimmed red suit was called "Unenlightened."

And to show you the strangeness of life's ebbs and flows,
Rudolf was suing over unauthorized use of his nose
And had gone on Geraldo, in front of the nation,
Demanding millions in over-due compensation.

So, half of the reindeer were gone; and his wife,
Who suddenly said she'd enough of this life,
Joined a self-help group, packed, and left in a whiz,
Demanding from now on her title was Ms.

And as for the gifts, why, he'd ne'er had a notion
That making a choice could cause so much commotion.
Nothing of leather, nothing of fur,
Which meant nothing for him. And nothing for her.
Nothing that might be construed to pollute.
Nothing to aim. Nothing to shoot.
Nothing that clamored or made lots of noise.
Nothing for just girls. Or just for the boys.
Nothing that claimed to be gender specific.
Nothing that's warlike or non-pacific.

No candy or sweets...they were bad for the tooth.
Nothing that seemed to embellish a truth.
And fairy tales, while not yet forbidden,
Were like Ken and Barbie, better off hidden.
For they raised the hackles of those psychological
Who claimed the only good gift was one ecological.

No baseball, no football...someone could get hurt;
Besides, playing sports exposed kids to dirt.
Dolls were said to be sexist, and should be passe;
And Nintendo would rot your entire brain away.

So Santa just stood there, disheveled, perplexed;
He just could not figure out what to do next.
He tried to be merry, tried to be gay,
But you've got to be careful with that word today.
His sack was quite empty, limp to the ground;
Nothing fully acceptable was to be found.

Something special was needed, a gift that he might
Give to all without angering the left or the right.
A gift that would satisfy, with no indecision,
Each group of people, every religion;
Every ethnicity, every hue,
Everyone, everywhere...even you.
So here is that gift, it's price beyond worth...
"May you and your loved ones enjoy peace on earth

~Hey Griswold. Where do you think you're gonna put a tree that big?
~Bend over and I'll show you

~Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

~Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah

~What are you looking at?
~Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn... the clean, cool chill of the holiday air... an asshole in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer...
~Shittter was full.
~Ah, yeah. You checked our shittters, honey?

~Every time Catherine would turn on the microwave, I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for about half an hour.

~ He's got a little Mississippi Leg-Hound in him. Once he starts though, it's best to just let him finish.

Greta has nominated me for the King or Jack of Hearts. It's a blogger deck of cards, ala the Iraq deck that came out a couple of years ago. You can't vote yet, but I'll keep watch and let you know when you can.

How Dare He
How dare President Bush do this. He pretends to honor Rosa Parks when everyone knows he hates black people.
Thank You
This post is dedicated to the men and woman who have served and are serving in the United States military. I've never been in the armed forces, so I don't even pretend to know everything you go through or the sacrifices you have made or are making. But my father was in the Army during the Korean War so I have tremendous respect for you and what you do for us. I just wanted to let you know that you have people back home who love, support and respect you and who wish you a safe and speedy return. You sacrifice everything in your lives for people you don't even know. You may not call yourselves heroes, but that's what you are.
Thank You
The first of every month, I post this message. It would be nice to see people honor and thank the men and woman who keep us safe. So if you would like to take part in this, just save the image above to your server and re-post this post. If you're not able to upload images, Photobucket or Tinypic are two great free host sites. What's great about this is that anyone can participate. There's no political leanings here. Show your support for the men and woman who defend our freedoms.
ACLUseless
Stop The ACLU
Early Warning
Every year we have come to expect the ACLU to wage war on Christmas. Just recently, the ADF won a victory for a school threatened by the ACLU over a nativity scene. The ACLU have created an environment that has spread like a virus across the nation. The far left have taken the politically correct ball and ran with it. They have redefined in their own minds, and in the minds of many Americans that "all inclusive" means "excluding" Christianity.

The environment the ACLU have created through threatening tactics across the years have made many schools proactive. In order to avoid lawsuits, some schools straight out banned the C word. This year, however, legal groups are being preemptive. The Alliance Defense Fund has even devoted a website, and offered free legal advice to any who feel they are being censored this year.

A backlash is happening this year as the American people are making their voices known. Wal-Mart felt the backlash, and backed off the politically correct exclusion of the word Christmas after being threatened with a boycott. Boston set off a furor this week when it officially renamed a giant tree erected in a city park a "holiday tree" instead of a "Christmas tree."

The Capitol officially returned to calling it a Christmas tree instead of a holiday tree. Lowes also dumped the "holiday" reference after public outcry.

One Michigan family was told they could not display a nativity scene on their own lawn. After being threatened with fines if they did not remove it, they contacted the Thomas More Law Center, and were victorious in standing up for their rights.

Bill O'Reilly is leading the charge on his show, featuring the secularization of Christmas. John Gibson, also of FOX news has even written a book about it.

They are not alone, bloggers are reacting too. California Conservative has teamed up with us, and created a petition to support Christmas. Stop The ACLU is providing Christmas decorations for your blog. Kevin McCullough is asking his readers to send the ACLU Christmas cards.

This was a production of Stop The ACLU Blogburst. If you would like to join us, please email Jay at Jay@stoptheaclu.com or Gribbit at GribbitR@gmail.com. You will be added to our mailing list and blogroll. Over 115 blogs already onboard.

Now, I feel I have to add something to this. I'm not a fan of the term "Happy Holidays" on it's own myself, but while reading this post I've actually come to a realization. While I like that people are standing up to the likes of the ACLU and demanding that Christmas be brought back, it seems some are doing it at the expense of another holiday. Christmas isn't the only celebration this month. We also have Hanukkah. I don't count Kwanza as a real holiday. Unlike the ACLU though, I don't think stores are using "Happy Holidays" because they hate Christmas and want to see it done away with. They use it because they have more than just Christmas shoppers. I wouldn't support a boycott of stores that use it. That being said, when we get into idiotic crap like "holiday tree" that's where I get upset. It's a Christmas tree. Always has been, always will be. Calling it a "holiday tree" is pushing the line between PC and sheer stupidity.
