I just saw on FNC that Mexican officials have arrested Iraqis who were trying to sneak into the United States, but they don't have a link up yet. And this isn't the first time this has happened. I'm not even going to say anything about this. We're just lucky Mexico, rather than give them maps, did the right thing.

And It Begins

Hamas has started it's insanity. First it demanded that Israel change it's flag. Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said
"Israel must remove the two blue stripes from its national flag. The stripes on the flag are symbols of occupation. They signify Israel's borders stretching from the River Euphrates to the River Nile"
Kind of like the Democrats here, he totally ignores the fact of the case.
"Israel’s national flag, a blue Star of David set between two blue stripes was designed to resemble a Jewish prayer shawl which traditionally has stripes"
After that, Zahar was asked if Hamas would renounce terrorism.
"What is the international definition of terrorism? When (Israeli planes) attack houses by F-16, just when they are using helicopters, when they are killing people and children and removing our agriculture system, this is terrorism"
Well, maybe if they were targeting these people for the sole purpose of killing the innocent, then yes, that would be defined as terrorism. As it is, Hamas are the ones doing that when their members put a bomb in their backpack, walk onto a crowded bus full of children going to school and blow themselves up.

I'm Am Not A Crook

My Right-Wing Brothers and Sisters. As I was walking around the homestead today I had this thought. What's the number one thing we hear the Democrats say when we dare bring up something the Liberal Lord and Savior Bill Clinton did that was, let's say, less than proper? "Bill Clinton's not the president. When are you going to get over him?". I'm sure we've all had someone tell us that a some point. Well, I have come up with the perfect comeback. And it all stems from this whole NSA/wiretap thing. If you listen carefully you'll hear one name pop up over and over and over. Richard Nixon. "That's something Nixon would have done". "That's Nixonian". However, it's not limited to the NSA/wiretap story. Watch a movie or television show. The Left love to bring up Nixon when ever they can. I mean hell, watch some reruns of Becker sometime. So, the next time some Daft Liberal tell you, "Bill Clinton's not the president. When are you going to get over him?", just tell them "As soon as you get over Richard Nixon".

Challenger Crew

I just barely remember when this happened. I was in first or second grade and the teachers had grouped some of the classes together to watch it. Being only 6 at the time I don't remember all the details but I do remember one of the teacher running to the t.v. to turn it off after the Challenger exploded. I also remember some of the other kids crying.

The crew of the space shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved good-bye and "slipped the surly bonds of earth" to "touch the face of God."

Sgt. Carl W. Lee, 23, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 in Ramadi, Iraq. His unit was conducting a dismounted patrol when it encountered enemy forces using small-arms fire.

Claudie Lee said she and the rest of the family hadn’t seen her oldest son, a 2000 graduate of Crooked Oak High School, since last Christmas.

“He had some close calls,” Claudie Lee said. “He said he didn’t know if he’d make it home, and he didn’t. We’re still not believing it’s true.”

Lee joined the Army after high school, but was expected to leave after his three-year commitment. Instead, he decided to make the military his career.

Rusty McMurtrey, Lee’s 21-year-old brother, credited his older sibling with saving his life. Lee helped him get away from gangs and also helped him with math in high school.

“He was the reason I graduated school and got as far as I did,” McMurtrey said through tears. “Since I can remember, Carl was the only one who’d been there for me.”


These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

I Triple Dog Dare You

With the 33rd "anniversary" of Roe vs. Wade a couple of days ago I want to issue a challenge. I challenge anyone to give me a rational reason abortion should be legal other than the three I've listed below.

1) The safety of the mother's life. If giving birth to the child could kill her then she should be able to abort the pregnancy.
2) Rape. A woman shouldn't be forced to give birth to a child that will remind her of that day.
3) The is no chance that the baby will be born alive. A woman shouldn't have to give birth to a stillborn child.

I'm just interesting in knowing why people feel people should be allowed to do this.

Congratulations to our friends up north. For the first time in 12 years a Conservative has been elected Canada's Prime Minister. The bad thing is the party didn't get enough votes to hold a majority, but now maybe the Canadian and the U.S. governments can get back to a decent relationship. First Schroder and now Paul Martin. Is it too much to hope that Saddam's old pal Chirac is next?

No surprise here, but I agree 100%. What I don't agree with is

If they're putting their hopes on these two voting to overturn Roe vs. Wade, they may get a rude awakening. I think one might, but I don't see both doing so.

Holy crap. This was a great movie. A true "guys" movie. Awesome fights, gun play, mass explosions, a hot blonde walking around the entire movie in either her underwear or nothing but a sheet and very little plot. A rich man's son is kidnapped and infected with a super flu that's meant to kill the politicians who're trying to crack down on the drug trafficking from Columbia. This was almost a good as the first Transporter, but not quite. Frank, Jason Statham, doesn't actually play a transporter in this one. He drives the kid around town. But the end does set up for a part three, so there's hope. Only one complaint I have. They should have given this movie the subtitle "The Audi Movie". They made sure to show the Audi logo at every possible moment. And make sure you pay close attention to the car chase scene. The car, an Audi, doesn't get a single scratch on it. Even after breaking through a cement barrier. But this is great movie.5-Star

I just wanted to get up a quick post about something Hillary said during her Martin Luther King day rant that the media has ignored. She said that Democrats were largely responsible for much of the nation's progress in areas like civil rights and women's rights. Maybe she should go and look through some history books, or watch The Presidents on the History Channel. Very good program. Or she should read this.

Wasn't it a Republican president that freed the slaves with Democrats opposing it? After they were freed and Lincoln was assassinated, Andrew Johnson(D) became president. The man many consider to be the most racist president in history. He had actually owned a few slaves before becoming VP. The man he looked up to as a hero was Andrew Jackson. The great White Indian killer. The man who believed the white man owned the land and forced the Indian to leave their homes. Predominately five tribes. Cherokee, Creek, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Seminole, the 5 Civilized Tribes. Which has become to be known as The Trails Of Tears, which caused the death of millions of Indians due to starvation and disease. Johnson believe that Blacks were savages and should just go back to working on the plantations. During this time it was the "radical Republicans" in Congress who believe that blacks should be protected, made U.S. citizens and given the right to vote. I guess we all know where Johnson stood on those. While Congress was in recess, Johnson welcomed the Southern states back into the union without giving any guarantees of protection to blacks. In 1865, the Freeman's Bureau was created to help freed slaves find new employment and to improve educational and health facilities. Johnson vetoed giving it more power to better protect former slaves. In fact, he vetoed 29 bills the Republican held Congress sent up to help protect freed slaves. In 1866 the Republican held Congress also passed the first Civil Rights bill, without President Johnson's help. After Johnson left office, Ulysses S. Grant(R) became president. During this time the south began to move back into the hands of the Democrats. Also during this time was when the Ku Klux Klan was started... by Southern Democrats. Republican Grant sent federal troops to the south and was able to effectively crush them. One way he was able to do this was by arresting members and holding them without trial. Sound familiar. Only to have them rise again later still under Democrat control. Then in the late 1870's, early 1880's, Democrats were able to grab the last two Republican held southern states which brought about the rise of segregation that didn't end until the late 1960's, when the south began to make the move back to the Right, when Lyndon Johnson(D) sighed the second Civil Rights bill with the help of the Republican controlled Congress after the Democrats opposed it.

Am I saying that the Republican party has a spotless history? By no means. We've had our share of racists and slave owners, but the Republican party has actually done more for civil rights than the Democrats have. So Mrs. Clinton can lie and fool herself into believing the Democratic party has a history of civil rights progress, and the media can choose to ignore her falsehood, but all the American people have to do is open a book to know the truth. And head over to DNC.org and see how much of this stuff they've left out. At least they got the history of the jackass as their symbol right.

I was watching some of the news programs tonight and I saw that the DNC pull out their token black man, Barack Obama, for the television cameras to bash the GOP. Every time they bring him out it's as if they're trying to say, "See, we like the black man. Give us your vote". Am I the only one who feels he's just their puppet?

And did anyone else catch the catch phrase for the Democrats campaigns this year? "The Culture Of Corruption", "Culture Of Corruption", "The Republican Culture Of Corruption". Get use to that phrase, they're going to beat it like a horse dog this year.

On November 14, 2003 Army Maj. Mark Mitchell became the first man awarded the Distinguished Service Cross since the Vietnam War. Maj. Mitchell was the ground force commander of a rescue operation in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan in 2001 while assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group.

The details of how the bloody battle started are still unconfirmed. However, most reports from eyewitnesses indicate that the three-day conflict erupted when an a Taliban enemy prisoner of war drew a grenade while being searched, pulled the pin and killed himself and a Northern Alliance commander.

The suicide attack triggered the uprising and an estimated 500 Taliban prisoners being held in Qala-I-Jangi, which means “House of War,” stormed two CIA agents working at the facility who were interviewing prisoners. Spann, one of ambushed agents, died at the prison and the other agent escaped.

Mitchell, 38, a Desert Storm veteran, heard of the attack when a Northern Alliance soldier rushed into a facility his unit was preparing for humanitarian workers and told him that he and his men were needed immediately at the prison.

Mitchell organized a team of 16 British and American soldiers and sped to the prison about 25 kilometers away.

When they arrived, Mitchell led his soldiers into battle against prisoners who had armed themselves with rocket-propelled grenades, mortars, machine guns, and rifles they collected from armories at the prison. Armed with a rifle and pistol, Mitchell, wearing no body armor and head protection, climbed to the highest point of the fortress to survey the battleground.

From that vantage point, Mitchell’s men began to call in air strikes on the Taliban. Later that evening, Mitchell and his men withdrew from the prison to plan the next day’s operations.

The following morning, Mitchell’s men returned to the fortress and were greeted by a barrage of gunfire. Mitchell and his unit requested more air support, but misfortune struck when a bomb fell near Mitchell’s team injuring nine of his soldiers.

After evacuating his injured men for most of the day, Mitchell returned to the fortress under the cover of darkness with five men and directed more air strikes on the enemy positions. By morning of the third day, most of the prisoners had been killed, and those who remained were killed when the Northern Alliance rolled into the compound with tanks.

Mitchell’s award credits “his unparalleled courage under fire, decisive leadership and personal sacrifice,” which it said “were directly responsible for the success of the rescue operation and were further instrumental in ensuring the city of Mazar-e-Sharif did not fall back in the hands of the Taliban.”

I like this program. It's a small color picker. Great for people who design websites. You see a color you like, just open Pixie and move your cursor over that color. It'll tell you the hex, RGB, HTML, CMYK, and HSV values of that color. 61Kb

gAlarm
Great little alarm clock that you can use. You're on the computer, Dog The Bounty Hunter is about to come on. You can set the alarm and that way you won't miss it. For example. 266Kb

RegCleaner
This program cleans our your registry. Over time lots of junk builds up that can slow your system down. Things you don't need. Get rid of them. But beware. Make sure you read and follow the instructions. Don't want to delete something you need. Same goes for SpyBot and Ad-Aware.

A program that runs in your system tray silently and keeps most Spyware from EVER getting on your computer in the first place. And because of the way it works, it rarely needs updating.

Exact same as above (except it doesn't appear in the system tray). Between these two, you can feel a bit safer about not running Spybot or Ad-Aware every now and again.

Real Alternative
An alternative (not to mention 100% FREE, monetary and spyware-wise) to Real Player.

Are you saying that the Democrats in the House are the poor slaves who have to work in the cotton fields all day? What exactly are you saying? Let's see. Martin Luther King day, at a black organization. Ah, can you say pander. Just too bad she had to stoop to such low level, but then again she a Democrat. That's what they do.

Cleaning House

I just got finished going through my blogroll, something I haven't done in a long time, and got rid of quite a few dead links. The weird thing is it made me kind of sad. It got me to thinking about where this blog has gone. I've never been a big dog in the game, but just a year ago I doing pretty good. Pulling in 60-70 readers a day. Now I get about 20-30...on a good day. I think what did me in was the moving. From Blogger to Modblog, then just a few months later moving back. But it also let me know who my faithful readers were. Will I ever reach where I was? Most likely not. Am I a little saddened by that? Of course. But as long as a stay true to myself and continue to do what I've done almost 21/2 years I'll be fine. Plus I'm now a poster over at Hooah Wife, so I don't see myself leaving anytime soon. Sadly, these blogs are my life.

The ACLU Hates MLK

How else can you explain why they would compare him to terrorists? From the ad, "40 years ago, wiretapping innocent American citizens was an abuse of government power. It still is". Only thing is innocent American citizens aren't being tapped. Known terrorists and those with known terror ties are. Which leads to one of two conclusions. The ACLU thinks King was a terrorist or that they support terrorists. They support NAMBLA, why not al-Qaeda?

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.

But one hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable Rights" of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom.

We cannot walk alone.

And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead.

We cannot turn back.

There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream."

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow jail cells. And some of you have come from areas where your quest -- quest for freedom left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of police brutality. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive. Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."

This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.

With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

And this will be the day -- this will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning:

My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.

Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim's pride,

From every mountainside, let freedom ring!

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true.

And so let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of
Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that:

Let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia.

Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi.

From every mountainside, let freedom ring.

And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!

Stem Cell Debate

Check this story out. Creating stem cells without destroying human life. With no evidence that embryonic stem cells actually cure anything, this is something that should be looked into. If you have broadband you should watch the segment. I know I have some who read this that support abortion and don't consider an embryo a human life, but I say why not consider this. Forget the Useless Nations. All they'll do is write resolution after resolution hoping he'll be a good boy. But if he thinks the U.S. will hesitate to strike, he need only ask bin Ladin and Saddam.

But after the backlash, Hilldebeest wanted nothing to do with Belafonte. She arrived late, gave her speech, listened to one other and bolted before Belafonte had a chance to speak. Had she not been planning on running for president in '08 she would have been by his side all night. Say what you want about the Clinton's, they're political geniuses.

Through out the confirmation hearing for Samuel Alito, Ted Kennedy has been going nuts about his past ties to a group called Concerned Alumni of Princeton because of their views on the admission of woman to the school. Well, it seems that ol' 90 Proof Kennedy himself was a member of a sexist club of his own back at Harvard. Called The Owl Club, it was evicted from the Harvard campus nearly 20 years ago after refusing to allow female members. But Chris, Kennedy hasn't been involved with that club for years. True, but as of September 7, 2005 he was still updating his personal information on it's website. So he still supports them. Kind of like Alito and the Concerned Alumni of Princeton. And I love the way Kennedy's spokeswoman tried to spin it.
"there is 'absolutely no comparison' between the Owl Club, a social group, and an organized effort to 'exclude women from getting an education' at Princeton.
'It's a social club. It's like a fraternity,' she said. 'He has been fighting to break down barriers for decades'"
I'm sure Za would agree with that. Ted Kennedy is the last person who should be talking about right from wrong. I mean, he is a murderer after all.
