Is It 1984 Yet?

"We will stand up in this election to bring about the change that won't just win an election, but will transform America" You're doing a damn good job of that. I hardly recognize this country anymore. We have an economy that's in the tank, we have healthscare, cap and tax, smart grid, government motors, we have a secretary of the treasury that doesn't pay his taxes, a Congress that can't be bothered to read a massive bill before they pass it, we have Obama lackeys, aka czars, who believe in eugenics, forced abortions, population control, human rights for animals, FDR's Second Bill of Rights and the "fairness" doctrine for the internet, we have a government with more power than it's had since maybe FDR and a thousand other things we should be worried about. So a Surgeon General that's overweight is at the bottom of that barrel.

From the beginning its been previous administrations ultimate fault that illegal immigration has never been retired. Years of neglect and intentional overlooking of the laws that were in place? It's grandiose excuse to allow the 20 million plus illegal immigrants to stay on American soil. Congress when enacted the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986 has been flagrantly ignored. The IRCA toughened criminal sanctions for employers who hired illegal aliens, denied illegal aliens federally funded welfare benefits, and legitimized some aliens through an amnesty program–EXCEPT THESE LAWS NEVER WERE ENFORCED?

There has always been complicity since the earliest days, between the lawmakers, big business, the open border zealots and radical pro-immigration and anti-American sovereignty organizations. Just like the Globalist they have an attitude that American taxpayers should accommodate every illegal family, with free medical care, schooling and a comfortable prison cell, for criminals and for the thousands of illegal alien drunken drivers every year. That globalist agenda has always been a free movement of cheap labor, between all of South America, Canada and Mexico, just as secretly arranged with the 3 countries leaders in Waco, Texas, at the end of March 2005.

Americans only forceful action is to build on E-verify, but not to replace it? Sen. Charles Schumer, D-New York and chairman of the Senate Judiciary subcommittee on immigration wants consider up-grading the application, with modifications to authenticate the employee’s identity by using a specific and unique biometric identifiers? Schumer, stated "improving employment verification is critical to boosting public confidence about curbing illegal immigration, which will build support for comprehensive immigration reform." These politicians just don't get it? Outside of the American Civil War, there will be a battle over giving illegal immigrants a path to citizenship free-ride? What about the millions of people with integrity and believe in the Rule of Law, who sit and wait in far off foreign countries for an entry visa?

Whatever the outcome it will not be easy to pass any Immigration reform or AMNESTY? Say--NO-- because it going to cost trillions of dollars (with a T) in enactment. Health care, Pensions, retirement and a rush on government benefits, for those who haven't already cheated the system. Then they will want their immediate families here? And waiting millions will swarm the open areas of the sovereign border fence? IT WILL NEVER END? Is it 1984 yet?
Have you read the book Chris?
maybe you are thinking of 'Brave New World' (BNW deals with eugenics), as the central premise of 1984 was that 'war is an ends not a means', that an elite few can enjoy power and luxury at the expense of the many by maintaining endless war with, well, anyone.
'the enemy' changes regularly, but the war continues.

The endless war fuelled by fanatical hatred of anyone via 'the two minutes of hate' sounds so much more like some of the previous US administrations than the present one.
Perhaps read the book first!
(or at least watch the film if reading is too much to ask).

Don't get your knickers in a twist. It's just the title of a blog post. I could have went with "Ching Chang Walla Walla Bing Bang", but it doesn't sound a cool and would have made even less sense. I suppose I could have used "New World Order" as the title.

"Don't get your knickers in a twist."
While I can't say I wear 'knickers', if I did, they wouldn't be in a twist
...I was just enjoying the opportunity to highlight the irony of how the 1984 prophesy has been realised not as a socialist dystopia as Orwell foresaw, but as capturing the spirit of dysfunctional capitalism (Orwell's real name Blair, as in same as the last English PM who's unholy alliance with Bush to invade Iraq. I expect that Orwell would be as unimpressed with 'New Labor' as old socialism).

The fact that Orwell expressed his dislike of English Socialism, has meant that so many Right Wing folks who want to rail against perceived tyranny invoke Orwell's name, and that of 1984, thinking that 'it sounds cool' (because they haven't read the book), and don't realise that the exact type of tyranny is the same as government that they support.

There is a 'secrete book' referred to in 1984 (published at the end as an epilogue) that goes into great detail how corrupt governments can use endless war and the public's focus against a common enemy to concentrate power and privilege in the hands of a few people - it describes Bush (1 and 2) perfectly. It even goes a long way to explaining how such a feeble-mind fool as 'dubya' can hold the highest office - 'the people' are too busy getting excited and focusing hate against mythical enemies such as bin laden (the guy has most likely been dead for years, but still the image of a long beard can still get people into a frenzy - a la 1984's 'two minutes of hate').

So while I don't 'have a twist in my knickers', I just think that you should know why it's absurdly funny it is that someone who asserts that 'america should be imposing its values and ideas of freedom via the use of warfare, on unwilling sovereign nations' is referring to 1984
...just like so many tyranny-supporting mouth pieces before you.

Yes, it is only a blog title, but if you'd read the book, and had an idea of what you were talking about you could have come up with a title that supports the post, not turning it into self-parody ...and 'New World Order' isn't any better, that's the slogan that's often associated with Bush-snr's move to openly instigate prosperity for him and his kind through endless war.
