Al Gore May Have Invented It, But Obama Will Control It

Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.

They're not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773 (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency.

This is scary. I think when they make the final power grab they will shut down the internet to prevent word from spreading. Of course they will have already destroyed talk radio by this time and there will be no one left to oppose them in the media. The compliant State run media outlets like NBC and so on will not report the truth. With communication widely controlled by the government it will be difficult to get the news out or coordinate with people across the country to oppose Obama's fascist power grab.

This totally scares me. And there are plenty of people walking around saying "well if he needs that power . ." just willing to give up THEIR power. So frightening.
