Keeping Score?

"He's making a list
Of those who can be bought
He's going find who's playing ball
And who's not
It's the Chicago way of politics, and it sucks"

It's only one small part of this article, but President Obama told Rep. DeFazio "Don’t think we’re not keeping score, brother". Have you ever heard a president use this kind of rhetoric before, except maybe Nixon? Keeping score almost sounds like a threat of some sort.

It's the Chicago Way. Bribery, intimidation, extortion, and if that doesn't work they break out the baseball bats and start smashing heads. Figuratively speaking of course (for now). I wrote a bit about the administration's thug tactics on my blog recently. Also, you did hear about the WH threat to Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska right? They threatened to shut down Offutt AFB, home of Strategic Air Command, if Nelson didn't "play ball". Of course both Nelson and the WH deny the story, however being as I have a lot of connections in Neb, I have it on pretty good authority that such a threat was made. It was likely a bluff, but still indicative of the gangsta politics being played in DC today.
