McDERMOTT AND THE PLEDGE
By now we all know about Rep. McDermott omitting the words "Under God" from the pledge when he lead it. That doesn't worry me. Leave it in or take it out when you recite it. It doesn't matter to me. But what ticks me off is this show of disrespect by not placing his hand over his heart when he did it. That was screwed up. Men and women have given their lives for what that flag represents, and for him to not place his hand over his heart is a slap in the face to them and this country. But what can you expect from someone who went to Iraq before the war and gave comfort to the enemy. Can someone say "treason"?
