REMEMBERED
Here's poem I wrote that I thought I would share. I'm no poet, as you can tell, I hope you like it.

Will You Remember

Will you remember
where you were
when the world let out a collective sigh

We were attacked by craven cowards
who thought they could stop us
and beat us into submission
Little did they know that they only made us mad

Brave men and women ran into the smoke
to help save those that were trapped

They did this not for glory or fame or money
They did this because that's what they do
Some call them heroes and a few call them brave
But they just called themselves Human

Those 2996, including
those brave, heroic Humans
will never be forgotten

They left behind mothers, daughters,
sons, husbands, fathers, grandfathers,
grandmothers, nieces, nephews, cousins,
aunts, uncles and friends

Those are the other victims of that
tragic day
Thousands upon thousands
of unknown victims

We may live with the pain of our
country being attacked,
But they live with the pain of
no longer having their loved ones
Heroes
We Have Every Right To Dream Heroic Dreams.
Those Who Say That We're In A Time When There Are No Heroes, They Just Don't Know Where To Look.
