Those Crazy Canadians

It seems the story I posted about Iran passing a law that would require Jews and Christians to wear colored strips of cloth to identify themselves as such my have been wrong. Canada.com has removed the story. Sometimes the media gets it right and sometimes they don't. Thanks Don.

Its not a wrong story. Its all over the place as well as that famously "Liberal" paper that decided it was not in thier agendas best interest to keep that story up.
Don't be so quick to retrack when only one place removes a story.

The story is real. But; the actual law has not been passed but is still being debated in thier legislative branch. Note that the proposed law is not being debated as to if it will or will not be implimented; but HOW it will be implimented when it is passed!

""Haroun Yeshaya, until recently head of Iran’s Jewish Committee, denied knowledge of such a clause.

However, the law has not been finally enacted, and speakers in the majlis debate proposed that non-Muslim minorities be made to wear distinctive clothes, yellow being the preferred color for Jews. ""

Screw Canada. I'm a U.S. citizen, but I go to college up there. (Thank God I'm home for the summer.) They never do anything right.

Actually, it seems John is once more, incorrect, going with his biases, rather than information.

Experts say report of badges for Jews in Iran is untrue
Jewish MP denies Iran badge plan

There are plenty more if people are willing to look, but I think that serves my point. When even a Jew says that John's slandering the Iranian government, I think we've all got to agree, the story is just plain false.

Oh, poor terrorist regime being slandered against. Please.

So in other words, you don't care whether this is fact or fiction?

Personally I'd be very careful about stepping that line Chris. Push it too far and you suddenly stray into a fantasy land where facts no longer matter.

I should also point out that a JEW is the one calling what John is doing slander. Not me. A JEW is defending Iran against these claims.

Am I getting across just how big this is? A JEW is basically saying that John's not telling the truth, despite the fact that it would probably serve that Jew better to say otherwise.
