About To Explode

Once a terrorist group, always a terrorist group. This situation is about to reach a new level. But who didn't see something like this happening when Hamas was elected to power?

Curse the evil Hamas for kidnapping a single man. Their vile crimes must be punished! How dare they still care about the small accidents Israel's committed over the past 5 decades.

I mean really - what's an accidental military slaughter of a few refugee camps mean to us? What's the slaughter of thousands of Palestinians count when compared to a few hundred Israeli deaths, really?

Oh, and let's just ignore the fact that Arafat probably lost the election because every time his extremist political rivals attacked Israel, Israel responded by attacking Arafat's forces, eh?

I love how people on the Left always blame Israel.

I mean really - what's a few children blown up on a bus mean to us? What's the murder of innocent people drinking coffee at a cafe or shopping for food at a market really? These poor Palistinians have no other choice but to strap a bomb to themselves. The evil empire of Israel has forced them to do so.

And let's not forget it's a group with ties to the government of Palestine that's kidnapped this soldier and they don't seem to be doing anything about it except threating to attack Israeli schools.

I love how people on the right instantly cry "terrorist" when a single person gets kidnapped to save 1,500 people.

Significantly less than sending the army to slaughter hundreds of women and children, or forcing civilian Palestinians back into their homes and then demolishing the buildings with them inside.

What's the murder of innocent people drinking coffee at a cafe or shopping for food at a market really?
Significantly less than bombing entire cities in retaliation.

These poor Palistinians have no other choice but to strap a bomb to themselves.
Just like the poor Israelis have no other choice but to send their army to kill civilians?

And let's not forget it's a group with ties to the government of Palestine that's kidnapped this soldier and they don't seem to be doing anything about it except threating to attack Israeli schools.
As opposed to... the IDF being aggressive in all the anti-Palestinian actions Israel performs.

I'm not saying Israel is to blame, I'm just saying that Israel does a shitload more than Palestinians have ever done to them. Palestinians are currently doing exactly what the Israelis did to the British to get them to give them their own nationstate, and apparently it was fine when they did that, but it isn't when Palestinians do this.

I agree in respect to the majority of Israel's neighbours, that Israel is the defender. But in respect to the problem of the Palestinian state, they're VERY out of line.

Pan-Arabism and Islam are VERY out of line. Not a legitmate state defending itself from thugs and murderer and the endless parade of human debris.

So tell me - that means you disagree with Bush's statements that Arafat was insane? Remember - Arafat headed the religiously neutral PLO.

You're very good at blurring issues so that way you don't have to deal with the one at hand.

The only reason Hamas got elected in was because the PLO seemed like a failure... because for some strange reason the Israelis kept bombing and shooting their forces whenever their religiously extremist political rivals did anything violent.

Palestinians on the whole want their homes, not "Pan-Arabism". The religious groups for the moment look (note, I said look, not are) more effective.

Arafat was not insane but a professional terrorist. And; Abbas was the money man who financed the Olympic killings of Isreali atheletes in Munich.
Hamas was elected in because of the threats of death (for being Isreali colaborators); was made to people who did not vote for them.
Pan-Arabism should be translated as Islamic Theocracy because that is what they always say.

As opposed to the Jews prior to the formation of Israel... who just killed Arabs and British legally? Or Israelis today - what do they call kidnapping refugees and children these days? Detaining them? Oh, and let's not forget the mass slaughter of civilian Arabs by civilian Israelis that went completely unchecked by the Israeli police, on Israeli soil. Oh, and who can forget the mass slaughter of civilians when invading other nations? Israel's lost how much territory since it was formed? None?

Well damn, I can see why you support them over the competition!

Oh, and I've already covered the attitudes in the article you linked to. Attempting to negotiate with the Israelis ended in failure, because the Israelis chose to attack the political factions who weren't the ones attacking them.
