USNS Mercy (T-AH 19)

Navy Builder 2nd Class Shane Murray, attached to the U.S. Military Sealift Command (MSC) Hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) hangs a screen as part of one of the public construction projects Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40 (NMCB-40) are working on at the Gunungsitoli General Hospital in Indonesia. Mercy is off the coast to provide humanitarian and civic assistance to the people of this small island(Nias Island). Mercy is in the third month of a scheduled five-month deployment to host nations in the Pacific Islands, and South and Southeast Asia.

These brave men and women risk their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

If you have a loved who has served or is currently serving in the armed forces, and would like for me to profile them as a Wednesday Hero, I would be proud to. Just email me with some info and a photo.
We Have Every Right To Dream Heroic Dreams.
