Wednesday Heroes

This weeks hero was brought to my attention by Greta. I'd never heard about this until she told me about it.

Back on September 11, 2001, after the WTC was attacked, a U.S. Marine showed up at the site to help in the recovery efforts. He, along with Staff Sgt. David Karnes, helped to rescue two port authority police officers who were buried alive. Shortly after that he disapeared, only identifying himself as Sgt. Thomas. Five years later, after Oliver Stone's movie, "World Trade Center", has come out has Sgt. Jason Thomas finally come forward.

Story

These brave men and women risk their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

If you have a loved who has served or is currently serving in the armed forces, and would like for me to profile them as a Wednesday Hero, I would be proud to. Just email me with some info and a photo.
