To Boldly Go

On September 8, 1966 a little television show premiered on NBC. It only lasted three years but would leave an indelible mark on society for the next 40 years. That show was "Star Trek". Ten movies, plus an eleventh in the works, 5 series, cartoons, comics, books, toys, games. And not to mention the granddaddy of geektatude, the conventions, "Star Trek" has managed to work its way into just about every aspect of every culture on the planet. Here's to 40 more years of nerds dressing up like Klingons and staging mock battles on Kronos to defend the honor of Kahlis.
