PERFECTLY PUT
We always here that a judge or a politician is somehow able to divide the country all on their own by their views. "They're a very divisive person". Well, The Christian Prophet puts the "divisive" argument into light. Good post.

Top 5 Scary Things To Be Overheard On Halloween

5. Sorry, we're out of candy corn. (Oh, the horror)
4. Halloween has been canceled because the ACLU didn't like it.
3. That's not a bin Laden costume.
2. Welcome To The Neverland Ranch. That's a cute costume.
1. Who is she supposed to be? President of the United States, Hillary Clinton.
ROUND 2
Bush nominates Samuel Alito for the Supreme Court. But here's the $25,000 question. Will he overturn Roe Vs. Wade? Because that seems to be the litmust test for some of my fellow Conservatives who opposed Miers. They didn't know where she really stood on abortion. Here's my feeling on the subject. I don't think the Supreme Court has the right to make decisions on some cases, abortion being on of them. What they should do is overrule Roe Vs. Wade and let the states vote on it. If the people of a state want abortion to be legal in their state, or make it illegal, let them vote on it. 9 people in Washington, D.C. shouldn't have the power to say one way or the other. But back on Alito. I'm a little disappointed with Bush over this. First he gives in and accepts Mier's resignation then the goes and nominates someone who will make Conservatives happy. What happened to the man who did what he wanted, damn the polls or what people thought of it? I want that president back. I miss him.

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THIS ONE TO ME?
I was watching the television and a commercial for a sleeping pill came on, Anbien I think, and while they were talking I heard something that didn't quite make sense. One of the side effects of this sleeping pill was drowsiness. Huh... Isn't that the whole point of it? Kind of reminded me of this piece of "artwork" I made some time back.

TWO U.S. SOLDIERS CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
This is a sad story for two reasons.

1) The fact that it happened.
2) The fact that the rest of the world will pick it up and run with it to "prove" that our troops are all evil and doing nothing but things like this.
SUNDAY OCTOBER BLUES
Yeah, I know, I'm pulling a Democrat move. I said one thing Friday but today I'm going back on it. I said the last song I would upload this month would be Bring It On Home, but I picked up a CD yesterday that has a couple of songs on it that I needed to share.

Buddy Guy - Blues SingerThe album is Buddy Guy's Blues Singer. Great acoustic album full of obscure delta songs that seem to have been forgotten by some. This album shows why Guy is the legend that he is. Great voice and amazing guitar work. This first song I want share I share for two reasons. 1) It's a great song. 2) You get three of the best musicians on the planet playing on it. Not only do you get Buddy Guy but you also get Eric Clapton and B.B. King. There is no way this song could have went wrong, and it didn't.
Crawlin' Kingsnake.mp3

The second song I'm going to share is, I think, the best song on the album. Very laid back very cool. A Finger snappin' and toe tappin' song.
See me walkin' as I pass you by
Don't talk about me 'cause I could be high
Just forgive me if you will

SCOOTER LIBBYS MEDIA CIRCUS
Greta has a great post up that's a parody of Monty Python And The Holy Grail that deals with the Libby situation. Funny as hell. Go check it out.
FASTER THAN A CHILD ON A BIG WHEEL
More powerful than a my dog. Able to leap tall fences with a single bound. Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird. Okay, it is a bird. England is creating a race of super chickens to combat against the "bird flue".
Super Chicken
Anyway, back to the intro. It's Superchicken! Yes, it's Superchicken - strange poultry from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of your average chicken. Superchicken - who can wake people up at 5 AM four counties away with his mighty crowing, break three kernels of corn with his bare beak, and who, disguised as Cluck Kent, mild-mannered student driver instructor in a small town high school, fights a neverending battle for Truth, Justice, and the Barnyard Way.

SCARED THE POOP OUTTA OF ME
I'm sitting here just looking around bored out of my mind, so I thought I would post a quick questionnaire. What with Halloween coming up on Monday that's what I thought I would focus on. Please take it and enjoy.

1) What is your favorite horror movie? Horror being the operative word. Nothing before 1990, because those aren't horror movies. They're shock movies.

2) What is your favorite Halloween candy?

3) When was the last time you went trick-or-treating? Going with your kids doesn't count.

4) What is your most memorable Halloween memory?

SORRY DEMS
We all know the Left was wanting Karl "Ninja" Rove to be indicted, but he wasn't. However, Cheney's Chief of Staff, Lewis Libby, was charged and resigned today. But not for "leaking" Plame's name like the Left wanted. Libby was charged with pulling a Clinton. Lying to the grand jury. I wonder why I haven't heard from Big Media what this is really all about. Revenge. Clinton was charged with a crime and the Dems want revenge. They can't get it on Bush so they want the next best thing. Rove. There's also talk now of trying to go after Cheney because he may have been on the one to "leak" Plame's name to Libby. But there's a problem with that. Libby had the same security clearance that Cheney does. So what ever Cheney told Libby was perfectly legal. This must be so hard for the Left. They lose to Bush, twice. Lose the mid-term election, lose their foothold on the American people, can't get a coherent plan on anything, have than hatemonger Howard Dean as their spokesman and they have people like Cindy Sheehan being the new media face of the party. They want to get Bush so bad, yet just can't do it. God, it's good to be a Republican.
YOU MEAN THE BUSH HATERS ARE WRONG?
If you listen to Left in this country you'd think the economy is in the dumps, but it seems the facts say something else.
OCTOBER BLUES
Robert Lockwood, Jr.-Bring It On Home Part 2.wma

Well, for the last song of the month there is only one I could have picked. This is the quintessential song. Great upbeat sound that gets your toes tappin'. It's a cover of a Sonny Boy Williamson song, but I think Lockwood does it better. This is the kind of song you want the band to end the concert with. Leaves you in a good mood with a smile on your face. So download and enjoy.

BLOOD FOR OIL REPORT 2
The final report for the Blood for Oil scandal has been released. But good luck trying to find it. I looked everywhere I could think of and I couldn't find the actual report with the list of companies that helped in the murders of countless people. The AP story above lists a few. DaimlerChrysler, Volvo, Siemens AG, Daewoo, Bayoil, Costal Corp., Gazprom and Lukoil. Not surprising is the fact that most of the contracts went to France and Russia. I would love a list with all 2,200 companies on it so we could see who needs boycotting. If anyone can find it for me please let me know. And, not surprising, Kofi Annan has no blame in the report. Big surprise.
KILL WHITEY
You have to read this. This takes crazy to a new level. This guy wants to, and I quote, "exterminate white people". Remind you of anyone? Someone who wanted to exterminate the Jews maybe. Hell, I didn't even know I wanted to kill blacks. Thank you for clearing that up for me Dr. Kambon.

ACLUseless BLOGBURST
I've recently joined Stop The ACLU. I don't think I need to explain what it is, I think the name says it all. Anyway, if you haven't joined, head over and contact Jay to join up.

For my first Stop The ACLU blogburst, I thought I would post a quick piece on the hypocrisy of the ACLU. I'll use two big topics that the ACLU loves to go crazy over. Abortion and Christmas. Has anyone else noticed that the ACLUseless does a total 180 when they talk about these subjects? Think about it. When they demand that everyone, even children, be allowed to murder their unborn baby they scream from the rooftops "freedom of choice" and that they have the right to live their lives the way they want. But when they begin to target Christmas, which should be any day now, they want every sign of the FEDERAL HOLIDAY to be removed because the mention of God and Christ may "offensive" to some. Never mind the "freedom of choice" of the ones who want a nativity scene or another holiday display to be set up or the right for us to live our lives the way we want. So let's review. Abortion is offensive to some Conservatives, so it's okay. Christmas is offensive to some Liberals, so it's bad. I think that about sums it up.

Also, head over to read Jays interview with the president of the Alliance Defense Fund, Alan Sears.

While on the subject, pick up Alan Sears' book, The ACLU Vs. America at Wal-Mart for less than $9.

BLOOD FOR OIL REPORT
The final report on the Blood For Oil scandal is set to be released on Thursday. Four things about this story.

1) The NY Times is actually covering it. Holy crap.

2) I love how the Times refers to Saddam as Mr. Hussein. Mr. is a term of respect. Says a lot about the NY Times, doesn't it.

3) I wonder if the report, which was investigated by the U.N. itself, will have any mention of Kofi Annan's role in this? My guess, no.

4) Why did the Left go out of their minds when it was reported that the White House was going to be handling the Plame/CIA "leak" investigation but seem fine with the U.N. handling the investigation into the U.N. helping with the theft of billions of dollars that were earmarked for the Iraqi people but where stolen by Saddam and his "cronies" in places like France, Russia, Jordan and Turkey? Also some of which went to al-Qaeda. Seems to me that this story is a hell of a lot more important than media whore Joe Wilson and his wife.

WAS HER NAME LEAKED?
Just wondering, was Valerie Plame's name really leaked? Was it even a secret? Her friends and neighbors knew she worked for the CIA. She wasn't undercover and it wasn't a big secret that she worked for the CIA. Don't tell the Left this, facts only hurt their heads.

STAR WARSRonald Reagan
Now settle down geeks, this isn't about the movies. This is about the missile defense shield that was proposed during the Reagan years. I don't remember it, as I was too young, but in a sense it was to be a system of satellites, lasers and missiles that would have blown the hell out of any Commie attack on the U.S. Of course it didn't happen. Most people think it's because it would have cost way too much, in the billions of dollars, and because it was just impractical and dumb. But I have another theory. I think Star Wars worked. It was a ploy by the United States government to scare the Russians. They had no plans to ever do anything like this, but they made it seem that they could if they wanted to. The Russians knew there was no way they could have competed against something like this. They were already in the hole from spending so much money trying to up the arsenal that if there to even try go up against something like this they would be in serious trouble. Which in turn began the fall of the Soviet Union ending the cold war. Reagan was a damn genius. He was Master Yoda. Why did I bring this up? Because I was watching I Love The 80's 3D on VH1 and they were talking about it. Great show.

No, I'm not talking about Paris Hilton. I'm talking about 2 months until Christmas. Thank God for sending down his son so we could have this day. I can't harp on it enough, I love Christmas. And today really felt like Winter's coming. It was a cold, but nice, 32 degrees. I love going out in the wee hours of the morning, just as the sun is coming up, when it's cold and taking a deep breath. Fill your lungs with ice cold air. Not many things better than that. I haven't begun shopping yet, but then again I only have to buy for one person. And she's always wanted a pearl necklace, so I think I might get her one. THIS IS RIDICULOUS
Cindy Sheehan's 15 minutes of fame are up. Someone should tell her this before she further embarrasses herself by tying herself to the White House fence to mark the 2,000 fallen hero. This woman is a disgrace to men and women serving over seas. Greta, your husband's in the Army. And seeing as how I didn't get to participate in your open forum with him, may I ask my question now? Even if it doesn't deal with Louisiana? How does he feel about Cindy Sheehan? Does he feel she had his best interest at heart or that she's some damn looney toon who's lost touch with reality?

How much you want to bet that some Big Media blowhard will capture a picture of her tied to the fence at an angle to make it look like she's been crucified? St. Cindy.

THEM CHANGES
While I was away for three day I came to a realization about this blog. While I love doing it, I wasn't having fun. It seemed more like a chore rather than what it should be. A hobby that I like doing. And I figured out why. It's because I was too focused on trying to type up these posts that I thought you all would like. I tried to make them as long as I could, look up fact after fact and write a report about a story rather than do what I do best. Give my opinion on it. I know that lately it doesn't seem like I've been doing that, and that's because I was burning out. I needed these three days way. So this blog is going to change just a little. I'm going to leave the reporting to the big guys, Instapundit, Michelle Malkin and the like, and focus more on presenting you with the story and giving you my own sense of humorous spin on it. That's what I like to do. I hate typing. I hate trying to use words that I don't actually use to make the post seem to be something it's not. I've been blogging for over two years and that's the way I thought it was done. I needed to be competitive with the big boys who're pulling in thousands of hits a day. I pull maybe 20, on a good day. So I hope you like my new style and that it doesn't cause me to lose any of the few readers I do have.

Yes, after a three day break I've returned to the blogging world. Might as well get to the meat of this post. My mother's surgery went A-Ok, super duper, fine. She had been having trouble with her bladder for a couple of years. It seems her uterus was pressing down on it and it was actually falling. So this morning, at 7:15 am, up a 4 am and had to be there at 6:15 am, they performed a hysterectomy and repaired her bladder. Doctor said she would be in for about an hour, so two hours, and plenty of worry, later the doc came out and said she was fine. She'll be going home either Wednesday or Thursday. So, anyone who had her in their thoughts and prayers, thank you. And I will resume blogging tomorrow, but there's going to be a change. While I was away I came to a realization. But I'll post on that then. Right now I need some sleep.

Billie Holiday - I Got It Bad And That Ain't Good.mp3

This is the saddest song I've put up. Billie Holiday, aka Lady Day, was a woman with hands down most amazing voice ever. When you hear it you instantly fall in love. When she sings a song you can hear true emotion behind it. Real pain and sorrow, because that was her life. She didn't have to pretend. Especially in her later recordings. Drugs, alcohol and abusive relationships. Known more so as a Jazz singer she did cross over a few times to record the blues. Sadly it was the drugs and alcohol that killed here when she died of sorosis of the liver in 1959.

FINALLY
Finally someone in the Government is making sense when talking about the border. Too bad it's not W.
" Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said his department aims without exception to expel all those who enter the United States illegally.
'Our goal at DHS is to completely eliminate the 'catch and release' enforcement problem, and return every single illegal entrant, no exceptions. It should be possible to achieve significant and measurable progress to this end in less than a year,' Chertoff told a Senate hearing. "
I don't know if it is possible, but at least there's someone who doesn't care about luring the Latino vote to their side and is willing to speak up about this issue. I'm just waiting for the calls of racist to start up.

This is an amazing Buddy Guy song. It's got a haunting echoy-metallic sound to it. It really shows why B.G. is a true living legend guitar God. He takes a little different take in this song. WHY ARE "FRIENDS" WITH RUSSIA?
I can't for the life of me figure out why this country is so damn buddy-buddy with Russia. Iran is secretly acquiring technology needed to produce missiles capable of striking Europe. All with the help of former members of the Russian military. Vladimir Putin is former KGB, so he's not a dumb man. He knows what's going on.
"A senior American official said Iran's programme was "sophisticated and getting larger and more accurate. They have had very much in mind the payload needed to carry a nuclear weapon"
WARNING...WARNING
RACIST ALERT
Am I the only one who's becoming more and more afraid of Muslims as the days go by? I'm pretty sure I'm not. Say what you will, there's quite a few Muslims in the Middle East who are bent on decimating the Western world. And for some reason the Left refuse to open their eyes. Talk about close minded.
Back to the article. Not only does this story include Iran, but it has a dash of North Korea thrown in for good measure.
"The Russians are acting as go-betweens with North Korea as part of a multi-million pound deal they negotiated between Teheran and Pyongyang in 2003. It has enabled Teheran to receive regular clandestine shipments of top secret missile technology, believed to be channeled through Russia"
I think Bush needs to look into Putin's soul one more time. Then put that Commie on the Axis Of Evil.

I'm poor damn it. Why isn't the government using your tax dollars to help me. It's their fault I'm where I am in the first place.

Why aren't they paying me reparations for five-hundred years of mistreatment to my people? Even if the governments that did it are long gone, this government still owes me for what they didn't do.

I don't know what you all are complaining about. The border isn't a big issue. We have no proof that a terrorist has crossed, or will ever cross, into the United States. To try and stop it before it happens is paramount to a police state.

The media isn't Liberal. That's just in your paranoid heads.

People who are pro-life shouldn't be on the judicial bench.

So what if the government has to take your home for that new shopping mall. It's in the best interest of the city.

Who cares if war has liberated country after country and millions upon millions of people, it's never really accomplished anything.

That wasn't fun at all. I like having a sensible mind.

FREEDOM IS A GREAT THING
Despite threats of attacks, actual attacks and constant negativity by the Left, Iraqis went to the polls in droves on Saturday to vote in a referendum on a new constitution. Zarqawi must be going ballistic in his coward hole wondering why the people who love him are doing this.

TERROR LETTER
As you all know, a letter between Ayman al-Zawahiri and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was recently intercepted. After reading it I wanted to briefly talk about three things that grabbed my interest.

This isn't about Iraq
In the letter, Ayman al-Zawahiri tells Zarqawi about his four-stages of events.
"The fourth stage: Extend the Jihad wave to the secular countries neighboring Iraq"
Now if this was about us being in Iraq, then why do this? If he had never gone into Iraq, or should we pull out, it wouldn't matter. This war was coming whether we liked it not and there is no end in sight in the near future.

al-Qaeda is out of money
I just think it's funny that this terrorist is resorting to begging for money.

I've changed my mind about a pull out
I've stated that by the middle of next year that out troops should start to pull out. After reading this letter I've changed my mind about that. In the letter, al-Zawahiri has a long section about how after the American troops pull out they, al-Qeada, need to be ready to rush in and take control. He talks about what happened in Vietnam when that happened. We pulled out and the slaughter began. The same thing will happen in Iraq. If we pull out, and the Iraqi army isn't ready, the ensuing slaughter of the Iraqi people will make Saddam's genocide look like nothing.

If you want to read the letter, download it here. It's in PDF format, but it's only 60K.

Leadbelly-Where Did You Sleep Last Night.wma

Huddie Ledbetter, aka Leadbelly. One of the pioneers of the blues. Discovered by John Lomax, the man without whom we wouldn't have some of the songs we do today. Lomax traveled the south recording these songs that nobody out of the area had ever heard. This song dates back to at least 1870. So if you like true traditional blues, then this song is for you. Nothing fancy. Just Leadbelly and his guitar. Some of you may recognize this song. Nirvana covered it on their Unplugged album.

THE CRUX OF THE ARGUMENT
I was listening to Laura Ingraham this afternoon and she had Robert Bork on as a guest. They were talking about Harriet Miers and Mr. Bork layed to rest any doubt I had in what the real problem some, not all, but some Republicans have with Ms. Miers. And that's that she may turn out like David Souter. A conservative through the whole nominating process but turn into a liberal once on the bench. The everyday conservative may have actual objections to her because she has no experience, but it's the far Right that's getting to me. People like Ann Coulter. I like Ann. I think she's an intelligent woman who makes a lot of sense, sometimes, but I just feel people like her wanted Bush to nominate someone like Antonin Scalia. A hardcore conservative who thinks just like she does. It's a little hypocritical if you ask me. She goes on tv, radio and writes in her book that she's tired of the liberal activist judges, yet she wants Bush to nominate someone who could potentially become a conservative activist judge. Now, I'm just using Ann Coulter because she's the most vocal far-right personality out there. And like I said, it's not all conservatives. Only a select few. Me personally, I don't care. Like I told DeoDuce, Bush could have nominated his mother for all I care. I have more important things to worry about. Just so long as it's not a committed left-wing loon, and they have some experience with the law, I don't care.

McCAIN PART II
Arizona Senator, and closet Liberal, John McCain is considering running for president in 2008. If he should get the nomination, I won't be voting. I refuse to vote for him. He goes out and praises John Kerry during the election last year then just recently the dumbass lets himself be used by Cindy Sheehan. Idiot. As it stands right now, the only person I would consider voting for is Giuliani. But I continue to be told that he couldn't win the primaries. I think that should it be Hillary, we'd be surprised who Republicans would vote for.

ANGELS MOVE ON
I don't know if any of you watched Game 5 of the NY Yankees/LA Angels, but that was one of the ugliest games I've ever seen. Yankees got their butts handed to them. They were doing fine, until the 3rd then it just went downhill from there. Ended up 5-3. Now the Angles head off to face one of the teams I picked to go all the way, Chicago White Sox. I was kind of mixed on this game. I wanted the Yankees to win, I'm a Yankees fan, but in losing to the Angles the White Sox have a better chance at going to the World Series. My other pick, St. Louis, begins their series Wednesday against Houston. Should be good.

HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY?
All through out our days a school we were told that Christopher Columbus was a hero. That he bravely sailed the Atlantic and found the new land. Just a few things about that.

1) The moron got lost trying to find India
2) He "discovered" a new land where
A. Millions of people were already living
B. Had been visited by the Vikings a few hundreds years before

3) He and brought new diseases to the land that killed countless Indians
4) The idiot saddled us with a name that would cause confusion in the years to come
5) He proceeded to enslave the people thus becoming the first White slave trader in the region and starting a 500+ year long hell

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to be celebrating his "accomplishment".

This is a great song. Not only the music, but the message. It's not talking about religion, but rather those regrets of not taking a chance.

I had no way of knowing what would come from our first kiss
It scares me now just to think about the good love I might have missed
Now I was just trying to find some help, I was trying to see myself as a survivor
I had to rise up on the ashes of love and jump back into the fire

THE HARRIET MIERS POST II: WHAT I THINK WILL HAPPEN
Okay, I wanted to let you all know what I think's going to happen with Harriet Miers, so that when it does go down I can point back to this post as proof that I called it. I believe Miers was a test. W put her up just to watch what we would do. See how we would react. Within the next week or two she will withdraw her name and W will nominate someone else. Who that someone will be I don't know, but it'll be someone to make the Conservatives happy. Am I willing to bet this will happen? No, but I'm 80-90% sure it will. Trust me ;)

DOUBLE STANDARDS
Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of funny the way the Left and the Right reacts when a book comes out that attacks their respected beloved leader? Former FBI director Louis Freeh is writing a book, My FBI, that he says will expose the real Clinton. The Left are bashing it and the Right are embracing it. And here's where the double standard comes in. When Paul O'Neill wrote his book, The Price of Loyalty it was the other way around. The Right bashed it, including me, and the Left embraced it. Then we have all our pundits going on every news program saying how hypocritical it is for the other side to bash this book while embracing the other. Don't you just love politics?

THE AMITYVILLE HORRORThe Amityville Horror
I just finished watching this movie so I thought I would give a quick review. I must be one of the only people in this world to have never seen the original, so I won't be able to compare the two. But this new remake starring Ryan Reynolds was pretty good. Can't give it an honest rating because

1) I was sitting in an uncomfortable chair and couldn't really enjoy it
2) The light was on and I was too lazy to get up and turn it off

But I really liked it. Wasn't too scary, but that's no shock. Hollywood doesn't make scary movies any more. It's more about the quick shock. This one had a few. The story was pretty good. I won't give away the back story, just in case it's different from the original, but it deals with a crazy Reverend in the 1600's that would kill Indians in his basement.
4-StarsWorth checking out.

SHAUN OF THE DEADShaun Of The Dead
While I'm here, I might as well review this one too. When this movie first came out I thought it looked stupid. I refused to see it. But I'm glad I changed my mind. This was a great movie. Perfect mix of "horror" and comedy. Wasn't scary, already went through that, but it had it's own little jump moments. It was good to see a comedic spin put on these walking dead movies. It was funny watching these two guys go half the morning before noticing that everyone around them were zombies. It also had it's sad moment when his mother was bitten. But all that aside, the ending will crack you up. But I'm not going to spoil for you.
5-StarsDefinitely get this one.

GOAL ACHIEVED
It seems Big Media and al-Qaeda have done what they set out to do. 62% of the country now believes going into Iraq was the wrong thing to do. Big Media's plan all along was to belittle Bush and the troops and sweep anything good happening in Iraq under the rug until the country finally bought into their lies and propaganda. And it's worked. al-Qaeda took a page from the VietCong and launched small attack after small attack, building them up until they looked like one big attack, in hopes that the American public would buy into their propaganda and turn on the war. And it's worked. It's kind of sad to see these weak-knee people turn to Jell-O when they don't like what they're seeing. I don't like what I see on the news. Car bomb after car bomb. U.S. troop after troop dying. Innocent Iraq after Iraq dying. Do I think Bush could be doing a better job handling this war? Yes. Do I think he's made mistakes? Yes. Do I think he needs to do a better job to letting the people know just what would happen should al-Qeada set up an Islamic state in Iraq? Definitely, not that it would matter to some though. But I'm not going turn my back on my president and the troops.

THE HARRIET MIERS POST
I've been seeing, on the news, that quite a few of Bush's supporters are angry with his pick for the Supreme Court. They're concerned that she has no prior experience as a judge. Well, as we all know, she wouldn't be the first justice to serve with no prior experience. But here's something I didn't know. Almost half of them had no prior experience as a judge. Some of the names include John Marshall, Earl Warren and William Rehnquist. I've also heard that they, Bush's supporters, have a problem with the nomination because she's a personal friend of his. Please don't tell me you think this is something new. JFK put his brother in as Attorney General. LBJ, like W, nominated his personal lawyer for the Supreme Court. I think this fear, or what ever it is, of her being a friend is a smoke screen for something else. The media has been digging and digging it into our brains that because we don't know every little position she has that she could turn out like David Souter. W's known her for ten years. Something tells me he's not going to nominate someone who could revert back to her dark Democrat days. Did Reagan?

MY BORDER SOLUTION
Deo has a pretty good post up. In it she talks about Harriet Miers, but as it pertains to this post, the trouble with the border. She, like many of us, is concerned about Bush's willingness to appease Latinos in this country by doing nothing about the border. As I've stated a few times before, this is the one issue that I have to strongly disagree with W on. His desire to get the Hispanic vote to move to the Right is going to wind up killing a lot of Americans because all it takes is one Muslim bent on setting off a dirty bomb in Houston or Miami or San Diego. So, should I ever become president, like that'll ever happen, my plan is gun towers and mine fields. You place a gun tower every few miles across the border with mine fields between. It would only take a few fragged bodies for them to learn that it's not such a hot idea to try to cross.

Amen. John Lee Hooker. Master of the delta blues. Straight out of Mississippi. He never learned to read or write too well, but he created some of the best music in American history. Quite possibly the coolest man to play the blues. You can't listen to rock without hearing some John Lee Hooker influence. Sadly we lost this legend in 2001, but his music will live on. I could have went with one of his bigger songs, Boom, Boom, Boogie Chillun or Huckle Up Baby, but I wanted to go with a little lesser known song. That's jus the way I am. I like songs that don't become big hits more than the ones that do. Also because this song's about freedom. Just take off and live by your own rules. No worries. No concerns. WELL THAT'S A SILLY THING TO SAY
Rev. Franklin Graham
"Was what happened to New Orleans God’s wrath. Since the disaster I have been asking God as to whether it was or not. Consider this. It is a general acknowledgement that New Orleans, the epicenter of the disaster, was a "sin city" which harbored few rivals. The New Orleans "southern decadence" festival which was to take place Labor Day weekend, is described by a French Quarter tourism site as "sort of like a gayer version of Mardi Gras" which is "most famous (or infamous) for homosexual displays of naked flesh which characterize the event," with "public displays of sexuality . . . pretty much everywhere you look."

The city is also renowned for occult practices, particularly voodoo. Voodoo is also common in violence and crime saturated Haiti. "
So, because he, Graham, saw New Orleans as a "sin city" means God was punishing them? The hundreds of people who died, some I'm guessing were Christians just like him, died because God was mad? You all know I'm a pretty tolerant guy. I don't bash religions, but this is something I have to talk about. It's one of the things I have a problem with about Christians. Or should I say the evangelical Christians. Not all, not most, not even half, but some do believe this stuff. Not long after 9/11 Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell were on t.v. talking about how the attack on the WTC towers was because of Liberal civil liberties groups, feminists, homosexuals and abortion rights supporters.
"The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, 'You helped this happen.'"
WTF? So in there eyes, God is mad at these people so he takes it out on over 2,000 innocent people? That's asinine. I know I'm taking a risk by posting this seeing as how most of you are Christians, but I just can't go along with crap like this. As I said, I'm not bashing Christianity. I don't do that. Besides, Voodoo didn't cause Katrina and homosexuals didn't cause 9/11. Evil, nasty, goat loving Muslims and Hindus did.

FALLEN HERO
Army Pfc. Henry C. Risner
Army PfC. Henry C. Risner
26 years old from Golden, Colorado
2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry)
August 18, 2004

Henrey Risner, who was killed in Iraq, had joined the Army nearly two years ago to earn money for college, and wanted to become a firefighter, his father said.

Pfc. Henry C. Risner, 26, died August 18, 2004 near Baghdad when his checkpoint came under enemy small-arms fire, military officials said.

Another soldier told his family Risner was shot while he and other soldiers were passing out candy to children, RisnerÂ’s father, Gerald Risner, said.

“He’s one of these boys who, when anybody needed help, he was right there. He was just extremely protective of other people who were in trouble,” Risner said.

The soldierÂ’s death was under investigation.

Henry Risner was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), based at Fort Drum, N.Y.

His wife is expecting a baby in January or February, Gerald Risner said.

Henry Risner decided to join the Army after taking several years to graduate from high school, his father said.

“I said, ‘Good idea,’ because I couldn’t put him through college,” said the elder Risner, a retired Marine.

Risner said his son would help him make and sell cinnamon-roasted almonds at various events.

“I’d tell people there were no calories, and he came up with an anecdote. He’d say we cooked everything in water, and then he’d say ’Did you realize calories can’t swim at this altitude?’ I use that all the time,” Gerald Risner said.

Henry Risner enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports and rooted for the Denver Broncos.

“He was a wonderful young man, very much in love with his wife and looking forward to his child being born,” Gerald Risner said. “He was an American. He would be a poster boy of any one of the armed services. Any of them would be proud to have him.”

Risner also is survived by his mother.

Well, the year is coming to an end. The temperatures outside are starting to fall. Leaves are turning colors. It can mean only one thing. World Series. Baseball is one of only two sports I watch, the other being soccer. We're into the playoffs and if you're a fan I just wanted to know who you think will make it to the show this year. Anaheim Angels

After last year when the "curse" was lifted from the Red Sox people are thinking they'll go again this year. Don't think so. Last year was a fluke. I've heard a lot of "experts" thinking the Astos were the dark horse this year and could make it. Maybe, but not my choice. The Angels and Padres? Nope. And I hope the racist Braves don't make it. My choices are the Cardinals and White Sox. I just think it's their time.

Payin' The Cost To Be The Boss (Live).mp3

B.B. King is hands down one of the greatest guitar players on the face of the planet. It's one thing to hear him play, but to truly appreciate him you need to watch is fingers. It's like he's barely touching her strings. Her? Correct. His baby, Lucille. A beautiful modified Gibson ES-345. Named so because he almost lost his life over a woman named Lucille. You can look up the story if you really want to know. This song really puts his talents out there. Great guitar, vocal and lyrical work. And he says it all,
Long as I'm paying the bills, I'm payin' the cost to be the boss.

WE'RE SELLING OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE
America hater Donald Sutherland wigs out and weeps for the Beeb.
"And they were insulting, and they were vindictive. And they were heartless. They did not care. They do not care. They do not care about Iraqi people. They do not care about the families of dead soldiers. They only care about profit"
Oh yeah, and the Left care? That's why they latched onto the corpse of Casey Sheehan like a leech and rode it all over the media. That's why they wanted the Iraqi people to stay slaves to Saddam. Donald Sutherland, and everyone who thinks like him, can do the world a favor and go take a flying leap of a high building without a parachute, dumbasses.

LOCAL STUFF
Just a couple of stories from The Great State Of OklahomaTM.

Suicide bomber blows himself up at OU, University Of Oklahoma. Joel Henry Hinrichs III went to an OU football game, sat on a bench and set off a bomb he had strapped to himself. The FBI doesn't believe it was a terrorist attack, just some screwed up guy who wanted to die.

Sick f**k takes a 2-year-old girl from her bedroom and sexually assaults her. Police believe it's a man who's been tagged "Tulsa's serial rapist" who attacked the little girl. Here's something else that makes this story even worse. The family had just moved to Oklahoma from Louisiana after Katrina.

HILLBILLY VOODOO DOLLS
Hillbilly Voodoo Dolls - Jeeze Louise.mp3

This is a great song from a smaller band. Hillbilly Voodoo Dolls are a great rockabilly blues band from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Being that close to the Chicago area, you'd think they'd play Chicago style blues, but they're more of a Texas/Zydeco style with great piano work. Only two albums out so far, which you can buy at their website. Head over and check them out.

THANK YOU
This post is dedicated to the men and woman who have served and are serving in the United States military. I've never been in the armed forces, so I don't even pretend to know everything you go through or the sacrifices you have made or are making. But my father was in the Army during the Korean War so I have tremendous respect for you and what you do for us. I just wanted to let you know that you have people back home who love, support and respect you and who wish you a safe and speedy return. You sacrifice everything in your lives for people you don't even know. You may not call yourselves heroes, but that's what you are.
Thank You
The first of every month, I post this message. It would be nice to see people honor and thank the men and woman who keep us safe. So if you would like to take part in this, just save the image above to your server and re-post this post. If you're not able to upload images, Photobucket or Tinypic are two great free host sites. What's great about this is that anyone can participate. There's no political leanings here. Show your support for the men and woman who defend our freedoms.

THEME OF THE MONTH
Finally. This is the theme I've been waiting for. This month, all month long, I'll be profiling the music of the Gods. The genre that started it all. The music that gave us everything. The Blues. Now, unless you've been living under a rock, or just haven't been paying attention, you know that I'm obsessed with the blues. I've rambled on for months about the subject. But see, there was a method to the madness. I have two goals I want to accomplish with this blog. The first is to convert as many people as a I can to Conservatism and the other is to preach the message of the blues.

The blues came from Negro spirituals slaves would sing in the cotton fields in the deep south, Mississippi Delta area. It wasn't until the early 1900's though that the blues as we know it came into being. The early singers would take those old spirituals, which were by now gospel, and in doing so caused a lot of trouble. To as recent as the 1960's, even to some extent today, many black southerns hated the blues. They called it the devils music because they saw it as corrupting God's music. Taking these songs that praised Christ and putting them to this fast beat and even changing the lyrics and meanings? It was a sin. A good example of this is Howlin' Wolf. His mother would have nothing to do with him when he began playing the blues. Didn't want to see or talk to him. When I say this music that gave us everything, I'm not lying. Every form of American music is descended from the blues. With the exception of one. Gospel. From the blues we got jazz. But blues and jazz are so close in style they're essentially brother and sister. Just about one and the same. We got Rock and Roll, Country and R&B. Rock gave us it's offspring, metal, grunge, hard rock and so forth. R&B gave us hip hop and rap and even Techno in all it's different forms. Now, aside from being one of the oldest forms of music we have, the blues is also the most true form of music. Raw. When you hear a blues song you know there's true sorrow or pure happiness behind it. There's no middle ground there like with other forms of music.

I could go on and on about this subject, but I think I need to stop before this becomes a two page post. With this post I'm going to be doing something a little different. I've been uploading maybe 1-2 song a week and including the lyrics with them. But, like I said, I'm obsessed with the blues, and I have so many I want to put up, that for this month I'm going to be uploading four songs a week without the lyrics. It'll at least give the illusion that the site's not being filled up with these posts if I don't include them. Well, except for one.

This first song that I'm profiling has become my new personal theme song. It's a song by a man who's fast becoming someone I want to know more about. Roy Milton. From AOL Music
"Milton spent his early years on an Indian reservation in Oklahoma (his maternal grandmother was a Native American) before moving to Tulsa. He sang with Ernie Fields's territory band during the late '20s and began doubling on drums when the band's regular trapsman got arrested one fateful evening. In the mood to leave Fields in 1933, Milton wandered west to Los Angeles and formed the Solid Senders. 1945 was a big year for him -- along with signing with Juke Box (soon to be renamed Specialty), the band filmed three soundies with singer June Richmond."
It doesn't say what tribe his Grandmother's from, but being Oklahoma it's a pretty good bet it was probably Cherokee. But this song really says it all. Most of you know that I prefer women with some meat on their bones. It seems Roy Milton did as well.

Roy Milton-Big Fat Mama.mp3
I've got a big fat mama
Wide as a t.v. screen
Yes, I've got a big fat mama
She's wide as a t.v. screen
But when she starts to love me
Boy, she makes me scream

You can have your skinny women
I'll keep my big fat girl
Yes, you can have your skinny women
I'll keep my big fat girl
You can't get no better lovin'
If you search all around the world

Everybody tries to tell me
That my baby's to big and fat
Yes, everybody tries to tell me
That my baby's to big and fat
Well they don't understand
Yes, I like it just like that

Yeah, she's a big fat mama
There's some meat shakin' on her bones
Yeah, she's big fat mama
With some meat shakin' on her bones
And when she starts to rock and roll
I just can't leave her alone

I got a big fat mama
I got a big fat mama
hey,hey, hey
A big fat mama
Yeah, I got a big fat mama
Oh, I got a big fat mama
Sowee, big fat mama
