Preach It Brothers

Finally the Bush White House swipes back at the Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy, aka Big Media. Rove and Bush don't hold back. I can't wait to see what they're, BM, response will be. And this part about Chief of Staff Andy Card
"White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card was outraged that the TV networks refused to declare Bush the winner on Election Night, even after all the votes were counted in the pivotal state Ohio and it became obvious Kerry could not win.

'Some of the talking heads,' Card said, 'were rooting for a crisis in Ohio. It wasn't just that they were afraid to admit we had won.'

Card became particularly incensed when Bush's Ohio lead reached 120,000 votes, which was mathematically insurmountable.

'Nobody wanted to call it so that we had won,' he said. 'It was like, c'mon, are they just afraid to say it?'"
I still remember that night. Bush was the clear winner and only one news outlet was calling it. Can you guess who? I kept flipping from ABC to CBS to NBC to CNN to MSNBC. And Fox News was the only one calling Bush the winner. The others were too busy crying and bitching. In denial.

Ted Rall

The latest garbage from Ted Rall.
But it seem the facts just get in the way for ol' Ted. From the actual 9/11 Commission Report.
"During at least five of the passengers' phone calls, information was shared about the attacks that had occurred earlier that morning at the World Trade Center. Five calls described the intent of passengers and surviving crew members to revolt against the hijackers. According to one call, they voted on whether to rush the terrorists in an attempt to retake the plane. They decided, and acted.

At 9:57, the passenger assault began. Several passengers had terminated phone calls with loved ones in order to join the revolt. One of the callers ended her message as follows:"Everyone’s running up to first class. I’ve got to
go. Bye."

The cockpit voice recorder captured the sounds of the passenger assault muffled by the intervening cockpit door. Some family members who listened to the recording report that they can hear the voice of a loved one among the din. We cannot identify whose voices can be heard. But the assault was sustained."
This piece of shit Rall makes me sick. I wish somebody would take a baseball bat to the side of his head. I honestly do. I can just see Rall sitting on his couch stroking himself to a tape of the WTC being attacked.

Death From Abortion 1
Death From Abortion 2

Death From Abortion 5 This one reeks of Nazism. Down syndrome isn't a reason to kill a child.
And here's a site with quite a few women who've died while having an abortion. But it's a pro-life site so it's all lies.

Abortions lead to death, and not only for the child. If it were up to me I'd ban them except in the cases that I've sighted in the past. But it's not up to me and it shouldn't be up to the Supreme Court. It should be a state by state issue. Just like gay marriage, let the people vote on it. If the citizens of California vote to allow abortions, let them. If the citizens of Oklahoma vote to ban abortions, let them. Nine people in country have far too much power.

Islam: Religion Of Danger

IslamIf you read my post Swallow Your Pride it may have looked like I had turned over a new leaf. That maybe I had realized the errors of my ways. Well, you couldn't be more wrong. I still believe that Islam is a danger to the civilized world. I mean think about it. Can you name me another religion that, when they feel insulted, issue death warrants and put prices on the heads, and I literally mean the heads, of the ones that insulted them. For the love of God, innocent people are being killed because of damned cartoons. I mean Christians and Jews are attacked on a daily basis in newspapers and on television, yet I don't see them taking to the streets threatening to bomb a building or kill a writer. And don't give me this crap about how it's a small minority. It's bigger than some want to admit to. There's a large sect of people out there who truly believe that their holy book says it's okay to kill anyone who offends you or doesn't convert to your religion. That if someone draws an image of Muhammad you're perfectly justified in shooting them. That if they're an "infidel" it's perfectly rational to take a knife and cut their head off. That if they're a Jew, no matter how young or old, it's perfectly fine to strap a bomb to your back and blow that person up. That if they don't believe in what you believe that it's perfectly sane to take an airplane and crash it into a building killing almost 3,000 innocent people. Islam is a real danger to this world and the quicker some people realize that the better.

Wednesday Hero

This weeks Wednesday Hero was submited by Greta. Also, I couldn't find a picture of him.
Army
PFC David Alexander is a former lineman of the NFL’s Washington Redskins who decided that he wanted to become a member of an Army of One through the United States Army Reserve. However, he exceeded the maximum age for entry into the Army Reserve. The maximum entry age is 40; PFC Alexander was a few months shy of his 41st birthday. In support of PFC Alexander’s goal, the CG, USAREC(United States Army Recruiting Command) requested an age exception, which was granted on 8 July 2005 by the DMPM(Director of Military Personnel Management). PFC Alexander shipped on 20 September 2005 to Ft Leonardwood for One Station Unit Training (OSUT) in MOS 21B (Combat Engineer). During a follow-up on this Soldier, the company commander stated the Soldier arrived in top physical condition, is a top notch Soldier, and is in the Top 5% of his company. He further stated that PFC Alexander has been in a leadership role from day one, setting an example for his younger peers. The company commander had nothing but laudatory comments about this new Soldier. Upon completion of all training, PFC Alexander was named the honor graduate of both Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT). PFC Alexander completed IET(Initial Entry Training) on 3 February 2006 and returned to his Army Reserve unit for duty. He is assigned to the 367th Engineer Battalion, Manakato, Minnesota. PFC Alexander’s performance and stamina is an example of how conditioning and determination prevails and refutes any notion that older Soldiers will struggle during IET.

These brave men and women risk their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

If you have a loved who has served or is currently serving in the armed forces, and would like for me to profile them as a Wednesday Hero, I would be proud to. Just email me with some info and a photo.

Swallow Your Pride

I am about to do something I rarely have to do. I have to pull a New York Times. I have to retract a post I made earlier. But unlike the Times I'm a big enough man to admit when I'm wrong while doing it, and I could have been wrong. I did the post Not Such A Good Idea without actually knowing anything about the story. But the more I pay attention to the story the less problem I have with it. Don't get me wrong, I still believe that America should have control over any and all ports but I made my judgment based solely on the fact that it was an Arab company. I didn't know that the UAE was actually one of out biggest supporters in the Middle East. That they're actually helping us in the War On Terror. That we actually get intelligence from the area. And that they won't actually be in charge of doing security checks on the containers coming into that port. Homeland Security will still be handling that. Although I'm sure at the same crappy level they're operating at now. I stupidly made the mistake of listening to media reports and heard only one thing they're harping on. Some of the 9/11 hijackers came from the UAE. And, yes, I realize that I'm swallowing a lot of pride. Especially considering what I said about Carter and Republican and Democrat ignorance. Maybe this will teach me to do a little more research next time. Naaaaaaa. But like I said, I believe that we should be in control of our own ports but to dismiss this company simply because of who they are is the kind of tactic that the Left would do. That all being said, we need to keep a close eye on this company. They are after all from a region full of people who would love nothing more than to annihilate the United States.

But Carter's dementia, and these Republicans & Democrats ignorance, are showing. President Bush hasn't approved this yet. This isn't a done deal. He can still turn it down. But if you listen to Big Media stories, it's done and the UAE already controls the ports. Just another example of biased spin.

Racism: Alive And Well

This is something I wanted to draw your attention to. Now it may seem like it's only a post about an English soccer team, but it's indicative of a bigger issue. Racism and anti-semitism are on the rise in Europe. Do a search for european racism rise and see what comes up. The worst places seem to be Germany and Italy. I've hidden a picture of a player giving the Nazi salute after scoring a goal. I've hidden it because I don't want that garbage to be right in plain view. I've seen the actual footage of this Italian player giving the salute. The crowd went wild with excitement. In places like Spain and Italy entire groups of these people will have their own section in the stadiums and chant their hateful songs at the black players. Not just fifty or sixty people. But hundreds of them. Europe is supposed to be this open minded, enlightened haven. Better than America. More understanding. Yet racism is on the rise while here in ignorant America we've somehow gotten a handle on it, more or less. It still exists, yeah, but no where near the level it does in Europe.

Next Black Leader

In the local paper today they had some interviews with a few black high school students about the deaths of Rosa Parks and Coretta Scott King. They were asked who they think the next black leader should be. There's some good news and bad news that came out of this. First the bad news. Two of the students said that Oprah Winfrey should be the next black leader and one said that Kanye West could be. But there is some hope for the future of America. Three of the students said that Colin Powell will be the next black leader and two said Condoleezza Rice. But that would be impossible, because, as we all know, they're not real blacks. But I mean, Oprah? She sits on a couch for an hour a day and talks. And Kanye West? Need I say more?

The follwing is from Hannity & Colmes. It's Sean and Alan talking to a San Francisco, enough said, Supervisor who voted against having the U.S.S. Iowa docked in the city and turned into a museum.

Sean Hannity: you said to me you don’t want a symbol of war in the harbor.
Gerardo Sandoval: That’s Right.
SH: I guess this is just a difference of philosophy. That symbol of war that beat back the forces of fascism and imperial Japan and Nazism; that’s really a symbol of peace. Why would you see it as a symbol of war when it defended liberty and freedom?
GS: well, it did do that but it also is a warship. Its got guns on it and it fires things…SF is where we signed the UN charter; created the UN; there are many ways to honor veterans and their sacrifices.
SH: “Do you think America should unilaterally disarm, should we give up our tools of war?”
GS: “I would say yes, we should. We should invest our money in something else-”
Alan Colmes: Let me ask you a question: should we not have a military?
GS: I don’t think we should have a military…what good has it done us in the last five years.
AC: …But to say we should not have a military; it’s absolutely absurd; it’s incredible!
GS: Welcome to San Francisco.
AC: What do you want us to defend ourselves with?
GS: Well, you got cops; you got the coast guard there’s lots of different things.

That's got to be the dumbest thing a Liberal has ever said. And that's saying a lot. This soft brained, ignorant numb nuts thinks that the police should be the ones to protect us from al-Qaeda? Dear God. The mentality of this Mr. Sandoval is what has caused Europe to fall right into the toilet. God help us should people like him ever take this country over.

Okay, everyone who's switched over to Firefox from IE has most likely come across the one thing IE has that FF doesn't. Stored cache. When FF has to close for what ever reason, crash or power goes out, you loose information that's been stored in the cache. And for those of us still on dial-up it's a nightmare. Having to load EVERY page again. Well, here's the answer. Cache Saver. It keeps the cache from being deleted when FF crashes. You should check it out. There is one complaint though. For some reason it doesn't save the page(s) you have open at the time of the crash. I don't know why.

Wednesday Heroes

I'm going to do something very different this week with the Wednesday Hero post. I'm not going to profile an American soldier. I'm not going to profile a soldier, period.
Rather I'm going to profile the victims of Saddam Hussein. Think about all the news reports we get about this trial. What are every one of them about? Only one thing. Saddam Hussein's latest ourburst. That's it. The reports talk about how his outbursts could overshadow the testimony of his victims, then they proceeded to ignore that testimony to talk about the outbursts. Guess they're right. Well, I wanted to highlight some of that testimony. These people were able not only to survive the absolute worst things the human mind could imagine, but they were able to go into that court room and tell their stories knowing full well that they could be killed by Saddam loyalists. They are heroes. Sad thing is I could only find a few articles that have printed some of this testimony, because as I've said the pieces focus more on the circus than the victims. Some of this is a little harsh and could be too much for some. Just letting you know.

From Post-Gazette.com
The turbulent proceedings included the first confrontation in open court between Saddam and some of his government's victims. Two men from the farming village of Dujail described the harsh collective punishment meted out to the village and its people after shots were fired on Saddam's car from a nearby orchard in 1982.

"It was like a war front in Dujail," said the first witness, Ahmad Hassan Mohammed, who was 15 at the time. The government bombed the fields, shot some suspects and rounded up men, women and children, Mr. Mohammed said. He and others spent more than three years in prison.

At times choking back tears, Mr. Mohammed described how seven of his brothers were executed, and how they were all interrogated and tortured. One brother was tortured with electric shock in front of his father, he said, sobbing.

"They knew who was most beloved by his father. They took him, 16 years old. Before my father, they beat him. Then they said: "Kill him.'"

Mr. Mohammed was followed to the witness stand by Jawad Abdul Aziz Jawad, who was 10 at the time of the assassination attempt. He described how giant bulldozers descended on the village three months after the shooting, ripping through farms and plowing over houses.

From Austinnews.net
The prosecution's first witness was a 14-year-old boy in 1982. The witness said members of Saddam's regime used electric shocks on their victims, and poured melted plastic onto people's skin. He said that's how Saddam's men killed and tortured people following a 1982 assassination attempt against Saddam.

From Yahoo News Asia
The woman -- just 16 years old when she was detained and held for four years -- said with her voice electronically disguised that a man ordered her to undress before pistol whipping her and lashing her with cables, her legs up.

"He said take off your clothes. He hit me with the pistol and I was forced to take my clothes and he lifted my legs upward and he hit me with cables and asked me to talk," she said.

Later taken to a room that was "all red' with another girl, the witness said they used their shoes as pillows to get some rest.

"We put shoes as pillows. Then the door was locked and from a small window they gave us two loaves of bread," said the woman, who was asked by the judge but could not identify her tormentors.

"My youth ... was destroyed," said the woman recalling the legacy of her experiences. Today she described herself as a housewife.

From CNN.com
I like how they say "alleged torture". But this is a little more from Ahmad Hassan Mohammed from the first story.

Ahmed Hassan Mohammed, a resident of Dujail, told the court how he and others -- including women and children -- were rounded up and transported to intelligence headquarters in Baghdad, where they were tortured. The women, including young girls, were raped, sometimes before the eyes of the men, he said.

He named his torturers and their relations to the defendants on trial and graphically and tearfully described what he saw.

Of one man, Mohammed said: "They broke him. Broke his arm, his leg. This is during torture. They also shot at his foot, all of that during interrogation. He died under torture. They broke all his body parts."

Mohammed described seeing Hussein's half brother and co-defendant, Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, wearing a cowboy hat, red boots and carrying an assault rifle.

He's Guilty, You Just Know It

See that post below? See the line that says "But in today's political climate an accusation is just as good as solid proof"? Well, here's a prime example of that. Howard Dean, in his mind, has already tried and convicted Dick Cheney of authorizing the leak of Valerie Plame's name. But there seems to be a problem with at Washington Times article. They apparently left of a small amount of text from what Patrick Fitzgerald wrote. They have "Mr. Libby testified that he was authorized to disclose the information about the NIE to the press by his superiors". They seem, for some reason, to have left this part out, "We also note that it is our understanding that...". So he's not actually saying that Libby testified to it, only that it's his understanding. While it may only be nine little words, those words make a difference. Also, unless I'm wrong, and there's a pretty good chance that I am, I don't believe that Libby's grand jury testimony has officially been released yet. I know some of it has, but not all. If that's the case, how is this stuff being "leaked"?

Spying

I've never been good at posts like this. I'm not the best at putting words and thoughts down, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I want to talk a little about this whole "domestic spying" and FISA thing and why I feel President Bush didn't break the law. I mean, it's actually kind of simple. In 1978 FISA(Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) was enacted. It states that a warrant must be obtained within 72 hours after the intercept has taken place. However, President Bush doesn't claim that his ordering of intelligence through wiretaps is authorized under FISA. Instead, he maintains that his authority comes from the U.S. Constitution. And the 4th Court of Appeals, in 1977, agreed saying
"the executive branch has the 'inherent authority' to wiretap enemies such as terror plotters and is excused from obtaining warrants when surveillance is 'conducted 'primarily' for foreign intelligence reasons.'"
And if anyone has any actual proof that anyone other than known terror suspects outside the country were wiretapped I would love to see it. Seeing as how no one actually knows who was tapped because no information has been released as of yet. Sure, there are stories from people who say they've been tapped but have no proof. But in today's political climate and accusation is just as good as solid proof.

I told you I wasn't very good at posts like this. If I were smarter it would be full of facts and long winded speeches and such, but, as you can clearly see, it's not. It's very basic and to the point.

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy

First it was revealed that Bill Clinton ordered warrentless searches on American citizens, and the Left didn't care. Now it seems that Good Ol' Mr. Peanut himself ordered warrantless electronic surveillances on two men in 1977 who were later convicted of spying for Vietnam. And here's another kicker. The two men who's "rights were violated" challenged their convictions before the 4th Court of Appeals who ruled that the warrantless searches did not violate the men's rights, saying
"the executive branch has the 'inherent authority' to wiretap enemies such as terror plotters and is excused from obtaining warrants when surveillance is 'conducted primarily for foreign intelligence reasons.' "
But I can hear the lefties now. "This case was before FISA". And? If the Constitution doesn't allow it now, it sure didn't allow it then. But, like Bush today, I support Carter doing it in 1977. If it saves lives, I'm for it. What good are rights if we're not alive to enjoy them. But I don't think this is a violation of any rights, so that logic doesn't apply here. But let's just see how many Democrats go after Carter for this. My guess, about as many that went after Clinton.

A Good Story From Iraq

This story e-mailed from one of the operators of Stop The ACLU to all those participating with their blogbursts. Enjoy.

Clean refreshing water, dispensed directly from the tap into our waiting glass… free from deadly contaminations… something we enjoy here daily without reflection. Our government values her citizens and they uphold the highest standards as they provide us daily, via a state of the art water system, safe drinking water. We all conduct ourselves with a matter of indifference as we turn on our faucets, run our dishwashers, load our washing machines and water our farmlands… that the water pouring forth is free from diseases that cause life-threatening incidences. How blessed we are to live in a land that believes in caring for its citizens, and how often we forget that many do not have such privileges, nor governments that provide for the common good of all her citizens.

During the tyrannical era of Saddam's rule, the structure of water supply for the neighboring cities of Baghdad was permitted to decay. This forced 300,00 residents to get their water from nearby canals. A practice that was dangerous, for not only health reasons, i.e. filthy water in the canals caused severe intestinal outbreaks, but also those who went to the canals were in constant danger of being shot at by the insurgents.

The Iraqi government took the directive in planning and organizing these projects, proving how far they have come in terms of having the ability to lead their towns, cities and ultimately their own nation. The local leaders in cooperation with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division engineer project office made the restoration of water a priority. A top priority that brought with it the good news, which is now pouring, forth from this region, and due to the recent drop in insurgent activity it allowed such projects like this one to be completed ahead of schedule.

This major repair project took place in three stages, restoring the Kaa Kaa Water Treatment facility, the renovation of the SheShibar Booster Station, which pumps and routes the water to various locales and lastly the repairing of the broken feeder line, which had been ruptured when the insurgents detonated an improvised explosive device.

Furthermore, in the town of Al Muhawil, located about 54 miles south of Baghdad, a new water treatment plant opened recently. Mayor Hussein Jabor, of Al Muhawil and Captain Brian McCarthy, commander, Troop B, 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division began working together a couple of years ago along with other coalition forces and the Iraqi citizens to help meet the needs of those in the communities and towns. With the ribbon cutting ceremony now fulfilled one million cubic liters of water are pumping through the Al Muhawil station on a daily basis. Currently as plans move forward, a similar project will be concluded on the other side of town later this year, which will, "bring clean drinking water to more than 20,000 residents for the first time in many years," according to Captain McCarthy. Add to this good news, the fact that clean water will benefit farmers, and a healthy agricultural industry creates a stronger economy. Such a simple everyday need has far-reaching positive accomplishments.

It appears to be a worldwide belief that the only thing coalition forces do is patrol the streets or track down terrorists, but what our forces have and are achieving reaches far beyond our limited view. According to Mayor Jabor, "People need to see the progress being made. They need to know that we're taking care of the future of Iraq. Soon, our security forces will allow us to live and prosper all over this great country of ours."

Our praise goes out to the new Iraqi government and to the ingenuity of the fellow coalition forces for working hard to provide clean and safe water for the Iraqi citizens. A precious commodity that we take for granted here, now flows forth freely, to be enjoyed straight from the tap- streaming into a waiting glass.

Free Song Friday

This is possibly my favorite Johnson song. Clapton, in his covers, has changed the lyrics up a little. Download and enjoy. Also, note the different spellings of the songs.

Robert Johnson - If I Had Possession Over Judgment Day.mp3
Pure classic blues. Johnson and his guitar. That's all.

Eric Clapton - Me And Mr. Johnson - If I Had Possession Over Judgement Day.mp3
This version from Clapton has a little more layed back sound. The kind where you just sit back and bop along with the song.

Eric Clapton - Sessions For Robert J. - If I Had A Possession Over Judgement Day.mp3
This version from Clapton has a little more Rock feel to it. Great guitar work and classic Clapton voice.

If I had possession over judgment day.
If I had possession over judgment day.
Any woman didn't want no lovin' wouldn't have no right to pray.

I went to the mountain and it burned my eyes to see.
I went to the mountain and it burned my eyes to see.
Some other man got my woman and these lonesome blues got me.

It seems our evil American military is once again practicing in the art of torture. It seems they are force feeding detainees who were on a hunger strike at Gitmo so they won't starve themselves to death. The every so lovely Michelle Malkin has put it best.
"If we let these enemy combatants waging publicity-seeking hunger strikes starve themselves to death, we're torturers of the worst kind.

If we force them to eat and save their lives, we're torturers of the worst kind.

You can't win."

Correta Scott King's Funeral Turns Into Bush Bash

Was anyone else saddened to see yet another funeral turn into a anti-Bush Democratic rally? First it was the funeral for Paul Wellstone and now this. Really show what kind of people Democrats really are. Also show what kind of man Bush is. He knew going into this that people would take shots at him, yet he swallowed his pride and did what was right. He's a better man than I. A women, who along with her husband, preached the message of love and tolerance being "honored" by people who're full of hatred. I'm sure she and her husband would be proud. Sad day.

With all this going on about the cartoons of Mohammed, I wanted to post this. Well, because no one else is. It's a painting of and upside down Christ made to look like bin Laden. Favorite Programs 2

If you'll remember last month when I posted some of my favorite programs I use. Well, here's a few more.
Celestia
This is a cool program. It's a real time space simulation. Which means it's a map of the universe that you can follow as it's actually happening. You really have to see it to appreciate it. 13MB.
If you download this, check out Celestia Motherload for a bunch of addons. New galaxies, blackholes, satellites. It even has sci-fi ships from Star Wars and Star Trek.

Roboform
Have a lot of passwords you have trouble remembering? Roboform is a program you should check out. It holds, I believe, up to 10 passwords and two ID files for when you have to fill out forms with your name, address, phone number and like. And unlike Gator, it doesn't have spyware. 2MB.

Wincustimze
Exactly what it says. It's a site with a bunch of different things to download to change up Windows. What I like are the boot and login skins. But beware, some of the things may be for the more advanced user.

Eraser
Have some files you want to get rid of but don't want Johnny Law or anyone else to know about. Download this. It'll completely erase anything. When you just delete a file it's still on your computer. This will write over it and completely get rid of it. Perfect if you're giving your old hard drive to someone and don't want them to find those nude pictures of yourself you took. 12.5K

Black people, unless you're Mr. T, a mohawk doesn't look good on you. Women, please don't shave your head.

I have a question. Why does it take a woman so long to make up her mind? She'll decide one thing looks good, then 10 minutes later she'll hate it. Please, make up your mind.

I really love being half Cherokee. I honestly couldn't imagine not having this blood running through my veins. I love the history that comes with it. The pride. Being pure White sounds so boring. No offense to those that are. I only wish we weren't a dying race. Outside of my own family, I actually don't know another Indian. And in Oklahoma no less.

Frank is my favorite.

Ladies, I'm going to let you in on a secrete. We men, we don't like Valentine's Day. We hate it. If a man is saying all the right things, making all the right moves, it's because of only one reason. And it's not to be nice.

Why is it that on America's Funniest Home Videos if you have a kid in your video you have a 99% chance of winning? It could be the dumbest thing on the planet and the people there seem to vote for it. I think it's rigged.

Can someone please explain hockey to me.

If the majority of this country is fat, why is it that everything is still made and geared to the skinny?

Does anyone watch Drawn Together on Comedy Central? Very funny. It seems that with Comedy Central they either hit a homerun, Reno 911 & Drawn Together, or completely strike out, The Daily Show and Colbet Report.

There's only one thing worse than people who dress their pets up in clothes, and that's people who hold wedding ceremonies for them.

I found out last weekend that I can't eat Mexican food anymore, at least without some Beano and Immodium AD. Damn aging.

2. A statement that does not follow logically from what preceded it.

Why is it that men go absolutely braindead when we see a woman in her underwear but women don't do the same when they see men in theirs? Or at least to the same extent we do.

Free Song Friday

This month I'm doing something a little different. I'm going to be profiling three albums.
Robert Johnson - Complete Studio Recordings
Eric Clapton - Sessions For Robert J. & Me And Mr. Johnson.

You can't get more perfect than these two. The man who is said to have sold his soul to the Devil to play the blues being covered by the man many people call God. A more perfect match there never was. If you're a blues fan then you have to have Robert Johnson's Complete Studio Recordings. It's in the fine print. And if you're a Clapton fan then you need these two albums. These show just why he very well may be the greatest living musician. These are some amazing albums. Staples for any collection. Also with the Session For Robert J. album you get a DVD with Clapton and his band in the recording studios. And for you true blues aficionados, Clapton and Doyel Bramall II actually record some songs in the same Texas studio that Johnson recorded in. Pretty cool seeing that.

It was hard to pick only a few. Every song on these albums are amazing. 32-20 Blues, Love In Vein, Little Queen Of Spades, Kind Hearted Woman Blues. The list goes on and on and on, but I think I was able to pick out the cream of the crop. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and that these songs convince you to get the albums.
Albums
Robert Johnson - Hell Hound On My Trail.mp3
Eric Clapton - Hell Hound On My Trail.mp3
I got to keep moving, I got to keep moving
Blues falling down like hail, blues falling down like hail
Mmmmmm, blues falling down like hail, blues falling down like hail
And the day keeps on remindin' me, there's a hellhound on my trail
Hellhound on my trail, hellhound on my trail

Tears Of A Nation

I met a man of many colors
And a tear was upon his cheek.
"Old man" I ask, "why do you cry
With such an agonizing weep?"

"Oh child" this man he says to me,
"My heart is broken in so many ways
That I believe this day to end
Will find me out stretched and far within
The encompassing earth of sin."

I sat down beside this man
And asked him "do not cry.
For what you think is so bad
That life will pass you by?"

He looks at me with such sad eyes.
And weeps ever more.
He holds his hands out to me
And alas, I do see
The anguish of his heart.

For his hands were different colors
One is red and the other white,
A leg he unclothed for me
Was as yellow as could be
And his other leg as black as night.

"I am the father of the world.
In case you do not know.
And my children have grown apart
And fight among themselves.

For when they do not get along
My arms and legs and hands and feet
Destroys the very life of me.

My hands of red and white
Will not feed this face of night.
And my legs of black and yellow,
Will not stand beneath this body
And support my heart and soul.

For they argue far too much,
And now I have grown old.

So here I sit in this haven
Of unwelcomeness.
And when this day ends,
A father I will not be.
For my children of many nations
Have forgotten how to accompany me.

No, I did not write this.

Is it any wonder the GOP doesn't have anything to do with the NAACP when their leaders say crap like this.
"The Republican Party would have the American flag and the swastika flying side by side,"
Then why don't we?
"and characterizing Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her predecessor, Colin Powell, as "tokens.""
So if they don't fall in line with the Democrats, they're not REAL Blacks. They're tokens and house slaves and Aunt Jemima's.
"He compared Bush's judicial nominees to the Taliban"
Gee, I didn't know either John Roberts or Sam Alito had ever forced women to cover from head to toe with the threat of death if they didn't. If there were any doubts about the true hateful nature of the Democrats in this country, this should clear them up.

But there's something I need to clear up. This jackass of a phrase Democrats have come up. "When Clinton lied, nobody died". That's not true. After he lied about Monica, to try and divert the publics attention from the story he bombed Iraq, an aspirin factory in Sudan killing innocent people and sent American troops into Somalia, which turned into a slaughter. So yes, when Clinton lied, people did die.

ACLUseless Blogburst

Stop The ACLU
I actually don't have anything to post about today so I'm just posted some of the official Stop The ACLU post.
The ACLU usually prefers to stay in the shadows. They lurk there like criminals waiting to roll some drunk for what little money that he may have. They send out "advisory letters" which advises that the city or town either comply with their wishes, or they will tie them up in very costly legal proceedings. And it isn't so much the fight for what's right that is important to the ACLU. No, it's that big payoff of legal fees reimbursements that will be ordered by the judge. Taxpayers money going into the hands of this Anti American institution.

I received a letter from my Congressman a few months back in which he tried to assure me that the ACLU does not receive taxpayers money. Well, my Congressman is wrong.

There exists a little law where the option of requiring the losing party to reimburse the legal fees of the winning party in civil rights cases. So if the respondent in a civil rights case is the federal government and the government loses, who's paying the ACLU? We are, John/Jane Q. Taxpayer is footing that bill. The same is true on the state and local level.

So the ACLU uses this as a tool to intimidate cash-strapped cities and states to advance their agenda. For instance, the debate over public celebrations of Christmas. Every time it's been actually challenged in court, the ACLU loses. But yet, if your town puts up a nativity scene in your local park, the ACLU will send an "advisory letter." So your town will take it down and bow to the will of the mighty ACLU.

The ACLU is a terrorist organization. They are more powerful than Al Qaeda. Why do I say that? Because they use our own laws against us. They are destroying us from within. And this is why they are concerned about the NSA eavesdropping program. Because they know, if we can listen in on Al Qaeda, we can listen in on anyone who is a threat to our way of life. And that means them too. That is using their twisted logic anyway.

This is why they are pushing the domestic spying falsehood. If the NSA were listening in on your conversation with Aunt Mildred getting her cookie recipe, that would be domestic spying. In this program, one end of the conversation must be either known or suspected Al Qaeda. And at least one of the parties has to be outside of the United States. This being true, it cannot be labeled domestic can it?

Wednesday Hero

Lance Cpl. Eric J. Orlowski
Lance Cpl. Eric J. Orlowski
U.S. Marine Corps.
26 years old from Buffalo, New York
2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division
March 22, 2003

Lance Cpl. Eric Orlowski was a proud Marine, but above all he was a proud father of his 3-year-old daughter, CamerynLee. “He was always there for his daughter, and he loved her more than anything,” said Nicole Kross, the child’s mother, herself an Air Force Reservist.

Eric Orlowski, a reservist assigned to a Marine tank battalion, died on his first deployment. He was killed March 22 in an accidental discharge of a machine gun. Orlowski was separated from his wife, but their daughter kept them close. He sent Kross letters from overseas, the last saying he was headed for Iraq. "I don’t think he was scared," Kross said. "The thing he feared most was leaving his daughter."

These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

This post is dedicated to the men and woman who have served and are serving in the United States military. I've never been in the armed forces, so I don't even pretend to know everything you go through or the sacrifices you have made or are making. But my father was in the Army during the Korean War so I have tremendous respect for you and what you do for us. I just wanted to let you know that you have people back home who love, support and respect you and who wish you a safe and speedy return. You sacrifice everything in your lives for people you don't even know. You may not call yourselves heroes, but that's what you are.
Thank You
The first of every month, I post this message. It would be nice to see people honor and thank the men and woman who keep us safe. So if you would like to take part in this, just save the image above to your server and re-post this post. If you're not able to upload images, Photobucket or Tinypic are two great free host sites. What's great about this is that anyone can participate. There's no political leanings here. Show your support for the men and woman who defend our freedoms.
