Want to know just how hateful the Left really are? Well, here's two great examples. The first is from Randi Rhodes from DeadAir America. Talking about the victims of hurricane Katrina.

"This President is never gonna do the right thing. I think somewhere deep down inside him he takes a lot of joy about losing people, if he thinks they vote Democrat or if he thinks they're poor, or if he thinks they're in a blue state, whatever his reasons are not to rescue those people who are planning for their safety."

Then we have this from popular Left-wing blog called Bradblog.

"I'm not going to post the piece I started to write. My original reaction to the Katrina catastrophe was going to be: "NOT ONE DIME." For an hour or so, I contemplated the idea of turning it into a crusade: No-one in the blue states (where the money is) should give one dime of aid to the victims of this hurricane, which devastated Bush-friendly regions. Why did I flirt with such a callous attitude? Because it should be obvious to all that this tragedy was not just an act of God. Dubya and his diety conspired to transform mere disaster into an unprecedented mega-catastrophe. ... So why was I thinking of starting a movement against giving aid to the stricken areas? Because these are red states. They voted for Bush. These ninnies obviously wanted these policies, and they deserve to live with the consequences of their votes. A large part of me still believes that many of these W-worshipping numbskulls deserve to suffer and to die. They brought it on themselves. Let them look to Jayzuss for aid: It's time they stopped leeching off the more productive blue staters. (Californians stupidly give much more to the federal government than we receive from it; the money flows in a very different direction in the red states.) So, at least, I started to write. But then (to paraphrase the old song) I thought I'd better think it out again. Many of the victims, the ones who have suffered the most, are poor. The hardest hit were the blue state folk living among the red state maniacs. New Orleans, we should note, went heavily for Kerry. And that's why we must help. Although it was very tempting to say otherwise. But let us make one thing clear: We WILL politicize this issue."

I think Randi Rhodes got the target wrong. It seems it's the Left who want people to suffer and die.

FOREIGN AID
John's touched upon this in the comments, but I want to post about it. With this hurricane Katrina causing so much damage, it's going to take a lot of money to even begin to try to get things back to normal. That's what the Red Cross is here for, but that relies on the donations of citizens. Federal aid will go a long way, but still only so far. Some tend to think that because we're the richest country on the planet we'll be able to take care of this on our own. For the most part, that's true. But chances are the total dollar amount will be a lot higher than most think. I mean, New Orleans is gone. Which brings me to the point of this post. Foreign aid. I agree with John in saying that we won't get any. Don't be expecting countries like France, Germany, Iran or Japan to even offer to help. And I'm not talking only about money. I'm talking about rescue workers. When the earthquake hit Iran a couple of years back, we, America, were one of the first, if not the first, to send rescue workers, food, water and medicine to help out. Will Iran do the same for us? Sadly, no. When the tsunami hit the South Pacific, again, we, America, were one of the first, if not the first, to send rescue workers, food, water and medicine to help out. Will countries in the region do the same. No, and I don't think they should. They're still dealing with the after effects of their own disaster. But other countries could. We're going to need all the help we can get. They're talking maybe thousands dead in New Orleans alone. We have the rest of Louisiana and parts of Mississippi and Alabama that need help as well. Am I expecting even the offer of help for the rest of the world? No, but just that offer would be nice. However, I don't agree with John that we should stop sending aid when it's needed. Us sending doing what we do in situations like that, sending help to countries that hate us, is what makes us better than them. If we stop doing it, we're no better than they are. Okay Za or GRR, rip this post apart.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH
I'm changing things up a little for the September Artist Of The Month^TM. Rather than profile just one band or singer, I'm going to be doing an ongoing series of seven posts that deal with themes. Two reasons.

1) I want to change things up a little.
2) I'm running out of artists to profile on their own.

The first of the seven is the music of the Gods. The music that gets you pumped during your morning workouts and wakes you to go to work. Rock And Roll. Not rock songs, but songs about R'N'R. As of now I have fourteen songs planned to feature. Some I'll post the song for, but most will just be the lyrics. And there is a weird anomaly that's occurred. Of the seven themes, there's one band that will be featured over and over. That's because they are the band of decadence. Sex, drugs and rock and roll. So, I figured what better way to start this than with one particular song. We're about to rock and AC/DC salutes us for it.

A great blues based rock band that formed in 1974 in Australia who're still going strong today and still kicking the ass of every new "rock band" that comes along. They don't compromise, they don't write songs for commercials, although they sadly have sold two songs to commercials. Gap and the Motorola RAZR. And they don't take themselves too serious. They have a great tongue-in-cheek approach to their music. They write straight up rock songs, nothing fancy.

WHAT WMD'S?
What's the Left's rally call against this war? "Bush lied about WMD's". Well, maybe that's not true after all. Have a look at this picture.That's a Russian MIG-25 fighter jet troops found buried in the sand. Now, if that was buried, and troops just found it, there's no telling what else is out there. But don't tell the Left that, it's just preposterous that Saddam would have buried stuff like that. Want to know some other stuff that's been found the vast majority of Big Media isn't reporting on?

-500 tons of yellow cake uranium that was found at Saddam's nuclear weapons facility.

-1.8 tons of partially enriched uranium found at the same place. That's the stuff you need to make nukes.

-Hidden centrifuge parts and blueprints.

-Two dozen artillery shells loaded with Sarin and mustard gas.

As you know, I do a Fallen Heroes post every Wednesday. Well, I want to change it up some. For the next few weeks I'm going to be profiling soldiers who either are still in Iraq and Afghanistan or have come home safely. All we hear on the news is about the soldiers who have died, makes better news I guess, we rarely hear much about the ones who are still there risking their lives or who have made it home. I think they need some recognition as well. Some will have pictures and/or a small bio and some will won't because I was just unable to find anything. I've asked Greta's husband and STG_E to help me with this, being that both were in Iraq, so some of these will be people they know as well.

IT'S A CONTRADICTION
Over the past few days we've heard "expert" after "expert" droll on about how global warming is causing all these hurricanes. How global warming is causing them to be bigger and stronger than ever. Even how Bush is to blame for Katrina. Gee, who would have seen that one coming? People like these Germans for instance. Ah, but wait, it's seems there's some arguing amongst the ranks. Because William M. Gray, a professor of atmospheric science at Colorado State University, and Kerry A. Emanuel, a hurricane expert at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say this is normal. Now, who am I going to believe, a professor of atmospheric science and an actual hurricane expert or the German Environmental Minister, who's a member of the Green Party, and some German news papers? Damn, that's a tough one.

Oh, by the way, the Germans are saying that this shows that America needs to change it's attitude towards Kyoto. That we need to step in line and sign up. Well, let's see how much Kyoto as cost the world to date...$80,435,745,768 and counting. Hardly seems worth it.
