Wednesday Hero

SFC. Mark Jackson was stationed in the Philippines to help train Filipino troops in anti-terrorism tactics. He and five Filipino soldiers were killed when a man on a motorcycle set off a homemade bomb in a restaurant outside of Camp Enrile Malagutay, in Zamboanga. 25 others were injured in the attack.

SFC Jackson joined the military in 1983 at the age of 21. During his 19 years of service, he received numerous awards and decorations. The Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with five oak leaf clusters, the Southwest Asia Service Ribbon with Bronze Service Star, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with arrowhead, the Army Good Conduct Medal fifth award, the National Defense Service Ribbon with Bronze Star, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with three device, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Army Overseas Service Ribbon, The Expert Infantry Badge, the Master Parachutists Badge, the Military Free Fall Badge, the Special Forces Tab, the Ranger Tab, the Jordanian Parachutist Badge, the Bahraini Parachutist Badge, the Russian Parachutist Badge, the Korean Parachutist Badge, and the Royal Thai Army Parachutist Badge.

"He believed in what he was doing, and he loved his job", said his father, William Jackson.

These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

Tag 'Em & Bag 'Em

Children in Belgium are to be giving electronic I.D. cards to help reunite them with their parents should anything happen to them. Great idea, but I'd take it step further. You know those I.D. chips people put in their pets should they get lost? Make them for kids. That way they can't lose them like they could a card. And maybe I've seen too many James Bond movies, but make them trackable. Should a child be kidnapped or run away, the police could simply track them down. Also great for when they grow up and commit a crime. Calling George Orwell. You know, I should really read that book one day.

When an unforeseen accident forces a trio of Antarctic scientists to leave behind their team of steadfast sled dogs, the animals must survive a cruel and punishing winter on their own.

I'm not big on Drama or Disney, but I loved it. However, there is a warning. There is a good chance you'll cry. I almost lost it a few times, but was able to hold the tears back. Only just. If you're looking for a great family movie, this is it. A great movie that was overlooked.

Saddam, The Liar

By now you've all heard about the report that banned weapons were found in Iraq. Well, I was posting on this subject back in August of last year. Now to play my own devil's advocate. "It was all pre-Gulf War weapons that were all degraded". Doesn't matter. Saddam was told to destroy all weapons of this nature. He got warning after warning after warning after warning from the U.N. He told the world that he was a good little boy and played by the rules. He lied. Bush knew he was lying. Blair knew he was lying. The Bush/Blair hating world will never admit that Saddam lied.

I also found this PDF from the U.N. last week. In it, the U.N. themselves say that Saddam was moving material out of Iraq before, during and after the invasion in '03. And that they may have found some of it in the Netherlands. I was going to post about it but I couldn't make heads or tails out of what it said. A lot of bureaucratic speak.

Army Spc. Corey A. Hubbell enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2001 after graduating High School. He was deployed to Kuwait on February 10, 2003 and died on June 26 from non-combat related causes. "Corey was a very friendly, likable young man who looked at the Army as personal development and training, and also as service to his country," said Sam Furrer, Hubbell's high school counselor.
These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

News Roundup

A group linked with al-Qaeda has claimed that they are have kinapped two American soldiers who went missing in Iraq on Friday.

According to the Giving USA foundation, Americans, in 2005, donated $260.28 billion in aid around the world. The biggest chunk of that, 76.5%, coming from individual donations.

Japan, Australia and New Zealand have backed America in warning North Korea not to test a new intercontinental ballistic missile that could have the potential to reach the West coast of the United States.

New Orleans mayor, Ray Nagin, has asked for the help of the National Guard after a string of murders in the city. Over the weekend, five teenagers were shot and one man was fatally stabbed in an argument over a beer.

The new U.N. Human Rights Council was inaugurated today. The the council sits noted human rights champions Cuba, Saudi Arabia and China.

A bear in Vancouver, Canada found the oatmeal just right. This one was too perfect to pass up.

World Cup: U.S. vs. Italy - Spoilers

Oh my God, what a game. Hands down the best game of soccer I've ever seen. It may have ended in a tie, but the U.S. went in and showed what they could do. If it weren't for the jackass retard of a ref, I think they could have won. Red cards that weren't deserved. Fouls that were bogus. A yellow card against Italy that was unnecessary. If FIFA doesn't send this idiot home I'd be surprised. I thought Bruce Arena, U.S. head coach, was going to come out there and beat the shit out of the ref after the second red card. I probably would have.

In the last post I did after the Czech Republic stomped the U.S. 3-0, I said that they(U.S.) had to win this game or that'd be it. Well, thanks to Ghana beating the Czechs that's no longer true. Okay, if I get this wrong someone who's more knowledgeable about this let me know. With Italy now having 4 points, Czech Republic and Ghana both with 3 points each and the U.S. with 1, the U.S. needs to beat Ghana on Thursday to even hope to advance. That would give them 4 points. Italy has to beat the Czech Republic, giving them 7 and the CR would still have 3, not enough to go. If the CR beats Italy, it goes to point differential between the U.S. and Italy. The US and Italy both could both have 4, and the U.S. against Italy in that situation lose. Right?

:UPDATE:
It seems that the jackass retard ref, Jorge Larrionda, was convicted in 2002 for sports corruption and wasn't allowed to officiate a game in the '02 World Cup. Now, if you follow soccer/football, then you know the trouble some Italian teams are in for fixing games. I'm not saying he was payed off, but it's something to look into.

Bush Snubs Border Enforcement Officials

This is the biggest gripe I have with President Bush. For the second time he's refused to meet with border law enforcement officials from Texas. Rep. Ted Poe had some words for W.

The next terrorist is not going to come in through screening at Kennedy airport. We already have information that people from the Middle East have come through the border from Mexico. They assimilate in Mexico learning to speak Spanish and adopt customs and then they cross the border into the United States

Canada as well.

The president is the busiest man in the world but he needs to take the time to talk to the border sheriffs and learn what's happening in the real world from them

Amen, brother. Other than sending 6,000 National Guard troops, President Bush has shown time and time again that he's not all that concerned about the borders of this country. His entire presidency has been about the War On Terror. Why doesn't he get that the borders of this country play a huge part in that?

Pornstar Melody Damayo, or "Mimi Miyaigi", is running for governor of Nevada. But here's the thing. She's running as a Republican. I mean, let's face it, she couldn't do any worse than the ones already in power. I tried to find a picture of her that I could post, but no luck. You can just view the ones on her site. Even More Illegals Rounded Up

A couple of stories to share. First this one about nearly 2,100 illegals rounded up and arrested since May of this year. This piece also talks about some of the illegals that were arrested in these raids. 140 of them had convictions for sexual offenses against children, 367 were known gang members and 640 people who had already been deported before.

Then we have this story about 55 illegals arrested at Dulles International Airport.

Okay, so I don't know if she had any booze in her, but come on, it's Lindsey Lohan. The chances are good. And can someone please shove a burger down her throat. Look at her arm. EAT SOMETHING. What the hell is wrong with people. The same way we put too much emphasis on celebrities, which I'm facilitating here, we also put to much emphasis on looking "good" and eating right. If you want to diet and exorcise, do it but don't take it to an extreme. Live a little. Eat a pizza.

You know, we should all be shocked when Democrats call Black Republicans "Uncle Tom" but it's happened so much over the last six years it's hard to be appalled. Uncle Tom, Aunt Jemima, Oreo, Sell-out, House Slaves, all have been used and for some reason all have been largely ignored by Big Media. Some outlets have talked about it, but none have really sunk their teeth into it. This, ladies and gentlemen, is where the Left in this country are going. More and more of the extreme far-Left are voicing their anger and hatred and are beginning to take over the Democratic party. I mean, just look at the man they put in charge of the party. The Left-wing are being pushed more and more to the far fringes. I'm not a fan of Hillary Clinton, but at least she's trying to make herself look more moderate. And what does she get for her trouble? Booed when she says the U.S. shouldn't immediately pull out of Iraq. I've said that I think she would be our next president, I'm now begging to doubt that. The extreme hate-wing of the Democratic party won't allow it.

Wednesday Hero

Lance Cpl. Juston Thacker was killed in an ambush near the Pakistan border when returning to camp with a border patrol. He had joined the Marines because of the attacks on 9/11.

"He was a very kind and loving young man" Kenneth Meadows, Thacker's uncle, said. "He considered it a privilege and an honor to serve his country and be a Marine. And he did it for us - for freedom- for all of us."

Lance Cpl. Thacker had dropped out of college after the 2001 attacks to join the Marines and was on his second tour of duty when he was killed.

These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

World Cup

Anyone else watching the World Cup? Sad to see the U.S. lose it's opener against the Czech Republic, but they still have a chance if they're able to beat Italy. And the CR is the #2 team in the world, so... But unless the U.S. beats Italy on Saturday they're gone. I'd hate to see that. I would say they could do it, but I called for France to beat Switzerland 3-2 today and it didn't happen. Also, anyone watch Brazil-Croatia? Brazil may be the best team in the world but Croatia, in their first Cup appearance, took it to them and showed that they deserved to be there. They may have lost but they earned a lot of respect. Master Ninja Rove Not To Be Charged

Bad news for Bush haters. Karl Rove will not be charged with anything dealing with the Plame "leak". Poor Lefties. I know how much you wanted to see Rove in handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit. But I am wondering something. What happened to all the assurances we were given by some on the Left that Rove was going to be indicted? Keith Olbermann kept reasuring the country, or at least his 10 views, that Rove would be charged and would soon be on his way out. And don't forget Truthout.org with their story 'Karl Rove Indicted On Charges Of Perjury, Lying To Investigators'. Huh, guess they were the ones lying. And oddly enough, while I'm writing this, neither Olbermann nor Truth Out have anything up about this latest news. I wonder why.

Update On Geno's

I recently posted about Geno's Steaks putting up a sign that read "This is America - when ordering, speak English". Well, it seems the "you racist bigot" crowd isn't done with them. The Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations has opened an investigation on Geno's. Acting executive director, Rachel Lawton, said

The complaint will say that the sign discourages patronage by non-English speakers because of their national origin and/or ancestry

No one is being refused service. If someone comes up who doesn't speak English, the employees help them with their order. Once again, this is an example of a minority trying to force itself upon the majority. The majority of Americans want immigrants living here to learn English. But no, we have to accommodate our lives to people who can't be bothered to learn it. Bullshit on that. The employees of Geno's are being to soft for me. If I were working there and someone came up and ordered in Spanish, Italian, French, Russian or any other language, I'd refuse them service. Fuck 'em. That goes for other places as well. Wal-Mart, McDonalds, J.C. Penny's, where ever. If learning English is something that's beyond your desire, screw you. And anyone who disagrees with me can kiss my fat ass.

This Saddens Me

Reading this really hurt. First it was massacre, then alcohol and now it's meth. As I've said before, Indians in this country are a dying breed. In the next hundred years I don't think there will be many left, if any. Now, I'm talking about full-bloods not mixed like myself. Throw all that in with this country's history of not caring about Indians. They're the poorest group of people in America, not blacks, not latinos, and yet their ignored by politicians when they talk about helping minorities.

Meth is also a big problem here in Oklahoma. It's cheap and relatively easy to make. Just throw a bunch of poisons together; paint thinner, acetone, lye and a few others and cook it. Viola, you have a drug that's a powerful as cocaine but with a high that lasts longer.

Geno's Steaks in Philadelphia has instituted a "Order In English Only" policy. If you're planning on ordering a cheesesteak from Geno's, you'd better know English. Said owner, Joseph Vento, who's grandparents immigrated from Sicily in the 20's

They don't know how lucky they are. All we're asking them to do is learn the English language. We're out to help these people, but they've got to help themselves, too

More Illegals Rounded Up

63 illegal immigrants were rounded up in Michigan. The ICE operation lasted from May 31 and was concluded this week. Most of the illegals were from European countries and in some cases had been in the U.S. for as long as six years. Two of them were actual convicted criminals, other than being here illegally that is. One was convicted of auto theft and the other for the selling of drugs.

Wednesday Heroes

June 6, 1944

Yesterday was the 62nd anniversary of D-Day. To the brave U.S. servicemen who fought at Sainte-Mere-Englise, Omaha Beach, Utah Beach and Pointe Du Hoc; the brave British servicemen who fought at Benouville, Merville Battery, Gold Beach, Sword Beach and Caen; the brave Candian servicemen who fought at Juno Beach and Caen & the brave French servicemen who fought at Ouistreham, thank you. In the end, 29,000 Americans were killed and 106,000 were wounded; 11,000 British servicemen were killed and 54,000 were wounded; 5,000 Canadian servicemen were killed and 13,000 were wounded and over 30,000 Germans were killed and almost 80,000 were wounded. Because of what those 45,000 men who lost their lives and the 173,000 who were wounded did that day, again, we say thank you.

Candidates For 2008

John K has sent me his Top 10 List Of Dangerous Democratic Candidates For 2008. Who does he think has the best chance of winning the nomination and perhaps the presidentcy?

10) Russ Feingold: There is enormous enthusiasm for Mr. Feingold among the netroots crowd, but Feingold is another Walter Mondale who would scare a lot of Americans with his bodacious liberalism and he would end up getting routed.

9) John Edwards: Here we have another Southerner who can't "speak Southern." Although Edwards is a nice looking guy with a full head of luxurious hair, he's out of the limelight now and was exposed as a lightweight in the 2004 campaign who added very little to the ticket. Even if you have some charisma, if you have nothing to say, does it really matter?

8) John Kerry: The liberal Democratic version of Bob Dole. Despite how close the race was in 2004, Kerry ran an unimpressive campaign, didn't generate a lot of enthusiasm on the left (The enthusiasm was anti-Bush, not pro-Kerry), and was successfully tagged as a liberal who can't even make up his mind about what he's having for breakfast in the morning. After his last run, he really hasn't shown that he deserves another shot at it.

7) Wesley Clark: It's tempting to dismiss Clark since he proved to be such a raw amateur during the 2004 campaign, but he does have some pluses in his favor. He's had four years to smooth the rough edges off his political persona, he's a former general, he's from Arkansas, there is some netroots enthusiasm for his candidacy, and he's an "outsider" without a voting record, which would probably work to his benefit.

6) Barack Obama: Obama hasn't said he's running and probably won't get in the race, but since there's a growing amount of chatter about his candidacy, it seemed appropriate to toss his name into the mix. Obama is charismatic, perceived as a moderate, and is treated like a rock star in the Democratic Party. There would be enormous enthusiasm on the left if he were the candidate. On the other hand, "(i)n House races, white Democrats are 38 percentage points less likely to vote Democratic if their candidate is black." You have to think that would apply to a run at the presidency as well and it would probably be enough to keep Obama from getting elected.

5) Al Gore: Gore is a Southerner who doesn't "speak Southern," which explains how he lost every Southern State in 2000, including his home state of Tennessee. These days, Gore seems to have only two methods of communicating: fire-breathing demagoguery or wonky politician speak. Although Gore has tremendous name recognition, plenty of money, and would have lots of left-wing support, it's hard to see how he would be in a better position to win in 2008 than he was in 2000, when he was a sitting veep, riding what people thought was a solid economy, and facing a lightly regarded opponent. The fact that so many Americans probably said, "Thank God, Gore didn't win," right after 9/11 probably doesn't help either.

4) Hillary Clinton: Hillary is a smart politician, with high name recognition, a virtually unlimited supply of money, would be guaranteed to get incredibly fawning press coverage (Did you know Hillary would be the first woman President?), and has a reputation for trying to present herself as a centrist. On the other hand, she's also a liberal, from a liberal state, with a liberal voting record; she has enormous baggage, high negatives, isn't particularly charismatic, will increase Republican turnout, and she will have a lot of difficulty winning any states in the South, particularly since she abandoned Arkansas for New York.

3) Evan Bayh: Bayh is a moderate Senator from Indiana who's so wildly popular there that he would be able to turn that very red state -- and its 11 electoral votes -- blue. Bayh is a former chairman of the Democratic Leadership conference and has a reputation for being fiscally conservative. Put it all together and you have a candidate who could compete in the South and give the GOP a hard time.

2) Bill Richardson: Richardson is the governor of New Mexico, is viewed as a moderate, and has some charisma. Although he was the Ambassador to the United Nations and the Secretary of Energy in the Clinton Administration, he managed to make it out with some valuable experience and without the sort of crushing baggage that Hillary is saddled with.

1) Mark Warner: Warner is easily the best candidate the Dems have to offer. The former Virginia governor has a reputation as a moderate and he "speaks Southern." He would likely take Virginia against any GOP candidate other than George Allen and he could easily bring 3-4 other Southern States into the Democratic column. It's no coincidence that the last two Democratic Presidents have been Southern governors and Warner would have an excellent chance to be the third.

Canadian Terrorists

There's something about the recent terror arrests in Canada that I haven't heard anyone talking about. Where it took place. This was in Canada. One of the most Liberal "Progressive" countries in the world. If you listen to some people radical Muslims are angry at, and hate, America for invading Iraq. So why target Canada? They're not involved in Iraq. Could it be possible that this is a bigger issue than just our involvement in the Arab world? Could it be that radical Muslims, rather than just despise the U.S., actually hate Western culture? And another thing. These were people shipped over from the Middle East. They were Canadian and American citizens. I'm a little confused. Someone, help me out here.

Wow, I can't believe it's already been two years since we lost the greatest president of the 20th century. I'm not one for speechafyin' so I'll keep this brief. I wish Ronald Reagan were still alive and well and able to run for president. We need more people like him in office. He didn't let polls dictate how he ran this country. If he felt it in his heart, he did it. Damn the critics. Bush use to be like that. Reagan was the man that got me interested in politics to begin with, and quite possibly helped me form my Conservative views. A great, great man. After the dark days of Nixon and Carter he made Americans proud to be Americans again. But today isn't about mourning his passing, it's about celebrating his life and legacy. Below are a few of my favorite quotes Mr. Reagan made through out his presidentcy.

Everybody can help, yeah, absolutely, you can all help. You don't need papers for voting, you don't need to be a registered voter to help

Really? I always thought the law in this country was that you had to be a legal citizen to vote. Stupid me. Then came the obligatory spin.

Hillary Clinton And The Redskins

Found a joke you all might like.

Senator Hillary Clinton was invited to address a major gathering of the American Indian Nation two weeks ago in upper New York state. She spoke for almost an hour on her future plans for increasing every Native American's present standard of living, should she one day become the first female President. She referred to her career as a New York Senator, how she had signed "YES" for every Indian issue that came to her desk for approval. Although the Senator was vague on the details of her plan, she seemed most enthusiastic about her future ideas for helping her "red sisters and brothers"

At the conclusion of her speech, the Tribes presented the Senator with a plaque inscribed with her new Indian name - Walking Eagle. The proud Senator then departed in her motorcade, waving to the crowds. A news reporter later inquired to the group of chiefs of how they came to select the new name given to the Senator.

They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of shit it can no longer fly.

Haditha Is Not My Lai

No matter what the Left-wing Bush haters say or think, what happened in Haditha isn't the same thing that happened in My Lai. Hundreds of people were killed by a company of soldiers. Some say it was on orders, others say it wasn't. That's not what happened in Haditha. According to Time.com, 15 Iraqis were killed, but according to Wikipedia 24 were killed. I'm sorry I don't know the exact number. And it wasn't done by a company. It was around 12. Now, unlike John Murtha, I'm not ready to convict these men or the Military just yet. I have a novel idea. Let's wait until more information comes out. Crazy, I know. But if it is true that these Marines did kill these people without provocation, then punish them to the fullest extent of the law.

Michael Moore Is A Fat Piece Of Shit

Yet more insight into the way Michael Moore manipulates things to fit into his anti-American mocumentaries. An Iraq war veteran is suing the over-sized gasbag for $85 million because of the way he twisted an interview he did with NBC news while recuperating at Walter Reed hospital after losing his right arm and left hand in Iraq, but has since lost his entire left arm, in his film "Fahrenheit 9/11". According to Sgt. Peter Damon, Mr. Piggy took an interview he did with NBC in which he was talking about new painkillers the military was using and made it seem that he, Sgt. Damon, was attacking the war.

Now, as I've stated before, I've never seen "Fahrenheit 9/11", nor do I have any plans to, and this shows just why. It's sick the way Moore used this guy, but not surprising. But Moore's anti-freedom fans will continue to eat his garbage up and ask for more.
