I recently went out and got an HDTV. 37" Vizio LCD, and it's NICE. But, because it's a budget brand the sound isn't as good as it could be and white is sometimes too bright but the picture is awesome. Anyway, got the electricity bill a few days ago and it was down almost $30. Got the tv about 2-3 weeks ago, so I don't know if that's why or not. Can they save that much? Going to have to wait until next month to see. But if it is then I urge you to go out and get an LCD TV.
P.S.
Watching nature and space shows is fan-freakin-tastic in HD. Yosemite National Park was breathtaking.

Just wait until you watch Avatar on your new TV. It probably won't be as good as in a movie theater but it will still be amazing.
I have no plans to see Avatar. Doesn't interest me. But there are three things I am looking forward to. The World Cup this summer and, when I get a Blu-Ray player, Star Trek and Star Wars, if they're ever released, in glorious HD.
Why don't you want to see Avatar?
Just doesn't look all that interesting to me.
That's too bad. I thought it was a great movie. Visually it blew me away. If I had an HD TV I would watch it again when it comes out on DVD.
