Troops Not Too Thrilled With New ROE

Recently, a new set of Rules Of Engagement came down to our troops in Afghanistan. And they're not too happy about them. The Times only has a few listed, but these thing seem dumb if not down right dangerous. They have to warn people prior to searches, they can't search at night or do surprise searches, they can't engage the enemy unless they're getting ready to attack and they can't engage a terrorist unless they spot them actually setting an IED. So, essentially, they have to tell the Taliban when and where they're going so they hide or run and hope to God that they have a faster trigger finger. SSG_E has been following this, so if you happen to have a website that lists all the new ROE could you pass it along?

Semper Fi

Here's an article on the first group of Marines that will be deployed to Afghanistan under President Obama's planned surge.
Camp Lejeune’s 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, “will deploy in the near future,” said Col. David Fuquea, chief of staff for Lejeune’s 2nd Marine Division. He declined to say when the unit will arrive in theater, but Marine officials at the Pentagon said the first unit will deploy before Dec. 25.
Okay people, we're just three weeks away from Christmas. It's time to make out your lists. What do you want for Christmas?

I want Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" comic books, "Firefly" and "Serenity" DVDs, I want an Arsenal hat and a Dinosaur. A real one, not that fake plastic thing I got when I was 10. Still PO'd about that.

The Military Is The Enemy

Chris Matthews has become an even bigger ass the Keith Olbermann, if that's possible.

It's that time again. Just click on your state to find a local drop-off location near you.
President Obama is set to finally announce his decision on Afghanistan in a speech tonight from West Point Military Academy. A decision that's been three months in the making. While Afghanistan was falling apart and 176 American troops died, our president was deliberating on what to do by playing some golf, calling out Fox News, stumping for the Olympics and focusing on Health Care.
