Gov. Palin Could Be Gang-Raped

Bush Derangement Syndrome(BDS) hit it's all time high back around the election of '04. And it got pretty bad some of the things that were said about him. But I don't think BDS can't hold a candle to Palin Derangement Syndrome(PDS). Some of the things said about Gov. Palin have been just plain sick. And now we have the latest from "Comedienne" Sandra Bernhard*. Calling her a "whore" and "turncoat bitch" and saying that she should stay out of Manhattan because she could be gang-raped by her, Bernhard's, big black brothers.

On a recent episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher", fellow "Comedienne" Janeane Garofalo said the following about Republicans,
They have become a party of small minded, very petty, mean... unrestrained id. The unrestrained id.
Liberals are the one's who have, in the last ten years or so, become the most hateful, intolerant, bigoted, close minded asshole son's of bitches on the planet. If you don't agree with them you're a racist or a homophobe or a Nazi or a warmonger or the anti-Christ and you should be jailed or worse. Tolerant my fat, hairy ass.

Sandra is just pissed because she is ugly, inside and out. Unlike Sandra, Mrs.Palin has a career.

Just goes to show this is true.

Sandra Bernhard's biggest attraction was always just an ugly woman trying to be funny. These Leftist women are really losing their minds. Rosanne wondered on Bill Maher's show whether McCain would take away women's right to vote. Even Maher's audience thought that was a nutso thing to think.

Jesus H. I have been struggling to come to terms with this outpouring of hatred for Mrs Palin since day one.

I think at the end of the day it comes down to a simple truth, "she represents a threat to their messiah".

I am no Hillary fan by any means, but I would never have said such despicable things about her.

Chris, just as you have just written some hateful things about liberals in response to what they have said about conservatives… how do you know they are not just reacting to what has been said about them?

People on both sides of the political spectrum say hateful things all the time. It’s a vicious cycle and the only control you have is over your own actions.

Sandra Bernhard's words are inexcusable, but lashing out at all liberals isn't the answer.

"Sandra Bernhard's words are inexcusable"
agreed.
"People on both sides of the political spectrum say hateful things all the time"
seems to be how the game is played in the US.
"you have just written some hateful things about liberals in response to what they have said about conservatives"
"If you don't agree with them you're a racist or a homophobe or a Nazi or a warmonger or the anti-Christ and you should be jailed or worse."
that's strange, you've often called me a 'hateful liberal' if I disagree, as though you have to liberal [a hateful one at that] to disagree. ...the thing I find more interesting is that I've never been called 'a nazi', 'a warmonger', 'a homophobe', or 'anti-christ' when I've disagreed or criticised liberals. I'm wondering if it is a matter of what you say, rather than simply a matter of disagreeing, for example, I can't think how you might get called 'a homophobe' short of saying something homophobic?

It's interesting that you mention nazis, as I was trying put my finger on what bothers me about 'Joel's army', but thanks for giving me a clue... it's a bit 'Hitler Youth'.
If you ignore the melodramatic antics of the film-maker and just look at the clip of 'Joel's Army'(link below), it makes me wonder about Sarah Palin and whether this is still demonstrative of her attitude (having stopped being a member in 2002?).

The divide between right and left in this country seems to be getting wider. For those of us a little bit less right or left - it is causing us to pull farther to one side or the other as we feel the need to defend "our" side.

I am a conservative. In most things. But faced with the anger and hatred of some of the liberal commentators out there, I feel the need to be more to the right than ever before.

It makes me sad that it comes down to this.

hmmm...
so if I repeated the claims that I made here about a year ago that the american political process fostered a mentality of 'binary opposition' - an 'us and them' attitude. Would it be universally dismissed as ridiculous, again?
... cos this is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about: conservatives and liberals at each others throats; the belief that you either agree or you are 'one of those idiots'.

Also, I suspect this 'us and them' mentality extends to other areas too.
