I Love Big Government

And you had better too because it's only getting bigger. Pelosi wants government to pay for birth control. Democrats got funding for STD prevention in the stimulus package. And now they want to make it a law that your camera phone make a sound when you take a picture. New York isn't the only place becoming a nanny state. Quite wasting my money and stay out of my business.

The Obama administration has drafted a letter to the terrorist, I mean supreme leader, and people of Iran "aimed at unfreezing US-Iranian relations and opening the way for face-to-face talks". And here it is again,

It would be intended to allay the ­suspicions of Iran's leaders and pave the way for Obama to engage them directly, a break with past policy.

The only problem with this article is that we have been talking with Iran for quite some time. It's just that that wasn't what the media wanted to report. But now that Hitler is out of power and the Savior is in, we can finally start talking like we have been. Or something. Anyway, here's my letter to Iran.

Wednesday Hero

January 28, 2008


James, 27, was killed on January 28, 2008, in Mosul, Iraq, along with four other soldiers when the unit encountered an IED, followed by an ambush from a nearby Mosque. It has been a year since James was killed. I miss him each day.

James was on his third deployment to Iraq. There are so many things about James that I admired. He was 'loud' and funny and articulate and sweet - even calling himself 'Sweet Soldier' - and brave and tough. He was a devout Christian and more comfortable with telling people he was than anyone I ever knew - he had a enviable, easy comfort with this faith. It would be so easy to write and write about James, but let me share some portions of his letters - his long and articulate letters.

"...I am very much looking forward to this war being over. However, I fully support everything that is going on over here ever since I saw first hand what the real situation was. Our media doesn't portray the truth of this operation or the necessity to the people here. They need freedom and desperately cry out for someone to help them. ... I know one thing, God wants me here."

"The war here is stating to come to an end. It will be a slow transition period where the responsibility of the battle space is handed over to the growing Iraqi Army. It all depends on the Iraqis if we are able to leave them with it safely."

"...it is a tale of my wonderful journey where I made memories I will never forget and stood up for something that I believe in...that sweet taste of freedom when the day is done and the knowledge that I have done something to ensure the positive future of my loved ones. And, you should know that it comforts me the most that what I do protects wonderful people like you."

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

"Che" Was Just Misunderstood

What is it with Hollywood's, and Liberals in general, love affair with people like Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez and "Che" Guevara? I don't understand it. But, then again, my IQ is over 70. Do they not realize what people like this are responsible for? Or is it that they don't care? Castro and Guevara are terrorists. Plain and simple. And Chavez is a dictator in training. They screamed about Bush taking away our rights then headed down to Venezuela and embraced Chavez. I honestly believe that had Sean Penn or Danny Glover been around in the 30's and 40's they would have went to Germany and befriended Hitler.

Another Ice Storm

If you've been watching your local weather you've probably seen that the middle of the country is under the gun for another Winter storm. So far the ice hasn't been that bad. I've had a few power flashes but it hasn't gone out yet. Hopefully it won't. But if I don't post for a while, you'll know why.

On a side note, in a bit of irony AC/DC is performing a show in Tulsa tonight. The name of the tour? The Black Ice tour. Just thought that was funny.

Was It Really A Snub?

People are making a big stink about The Dark Knight being snubbed by the Oscars. Well, first, I don't watch the Oscars. A bunch of pampered, self-righteous idiots patting themselves on the back for making long winded pieces of crap. Second, was it really a snub? The Dark Knight sucked. The first one was bad, and this sequel was just as bad. I was fooled with the three horrible Spider-Man movies, and I was fooled by the two Batman movies. I won't be fooled by the next one.
