The email from Major Paeta Hess-von Kruedener warned that the post had come under "unintentional" artillery fire and aerial bombing several times in the previous weeks, and that several Hezbollah positions were in the area of the patrol base.I know you, like Kofi Annan, were hoping the evil Israeli Empire had targeted the U.N., but it seems that may not have been the case after all.

Right, and the guided missile was accidental as well?
Or did you forget that bit?
No accident..Hezbullies were using the post. The accidental part was that UN peacekeepers were still there because Kofi had not given the orders to leave. Simple mistake on the incompetant General Sec of The Worthless U.N.

Press release of other UN posts being manned by Hezbullies..
More..
From today’s United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon press release (PDF), more reports of Hizballah using UN posts as cover for attacks:
There were three incidents of firing close to UN positions in the last 24 hours from the Israeli side. It was also reported that Hezbollah fired from the vicinity of four UN positions at Marwahin, Alma Ash Shab, Brashit, and At Tiri.
Mainstream media is completely ignoring these reports, and issuing a flood of articles like this one: Security Council expresses shock at peacekeeper deaths, no condemnation.
Once again, Israel is a part of the UN. Hezbollah is not. Thus Israel has responsibilities to it, and Hezbollah does not. Hence the difference in stance. It's expected for Hezbollah to attack the UN.
Boy, it's just not a Za post unless you defend a terrorist, oops, sorry, forgot you wouldn't call them "terrorist", group.
