Iraq Is Vietnam

We've been hearing for sometime now that Iraq is the new Vietnam. Guess what, they're right.
A Syracuse woman was charged after a Fort Drum soldier accused her of spitting on him without provocation at Hancock International Airport, Syracuse police said.

Lauren Maggi, 35, of 256 Thurber St., was charged with second-degree harassment after the Nov. 22 incident, according to a police report.

Jason Jones, 21, told police a woman he did not know walked up to him near the United Airlines ticket counter, asked him if he was a Fort Drum solider and, when he responded that he was, spat in his face.

A second soldier on the scene supported Jones’ accusation, police said. Maggi offered no explanation for her conduct, police said. She could not be reached for comment tonight.

I can't believe he did not knock that bitch out. I would have and I will anyone man or woman doing something like that.

Yes, but John, you'd stoop to genocide (or supporting it at any rate).

Still, it's a pity.

Socialists-Marxists like yourself are more prone to genoicide(history proves that) than anything I have said or done. Check your bias and your history; punk-ass kid.And please try and grow some balls while your at it. The future belongs to men with cahones..

"The future belongs to men with cahones.."

I get it, John: 'Might makes right'
... anyone with the balls to use force deserves the advantage over others that it brings
the only problem is that violence is a coward's response

The history lesson that you are trying to deliver with regards to 'Socialists-Marxists' and genocide has one fundamental flaw. The nations that you allude to carrying-out genocide, adhered to the principles of Marxism or Socialism about as much as America adheres to the principles of Christianity and Democracy. ie. they were Socialist in name only.

Violence in defense of oneself is not cowardice. If you actually take the time to think for a moment and actually read what the post was about; then you would know in what context of violence I was speaking of. Socialism, Marxism and Communism has only killed hundreds of Millions of people; but hey! Lets give it another chance because the wrong people were in charge! Everybody should be miserable and poor equally! LMAO..

John, yes I read the OP, and if "The future belongs to men with cahones.." I don't look forward to 'the future' of your misogynous overreaction of 'knocking out bitches' who spit on people. Spitting on people isn't a good thing, but knocking out bitches? Get some perspective, that's not "defense of oneself", it's fortunate that the soldier didn't have your sense, and took it to the police instead. He'd be the one facing charges if he followed your advice, but it just sounds like you wish you were 'man enough' to beat-up a woman, instead you're at your computer, talking big about defence from the tyranny of phlem, and beating-up women!
What a picture of masculinity!

... it's YOU that needs to read comments properly before responding. As I previously explained, that just because a nation claims to be 'Socialist' or 'Marxist' or 'Communism' does not make them 'Socialist' or 'Marxist' or 'Communism'. So you can't blame 'Socialism' or 'Marxism' or 'Communism' for the brutality of individual dictators... in the same way that people of integrity don't blame 'christianity' or 'democracy' for the atrocities of certain American leaders.

You need to get over communism, that was America's bĂȘte noire last century, remember, your supposed to be hating those 'evil arabs'!

"Violence in defense of oneself is not cowardice"
... a woman who spits on strangers, is probably mentally ill.
violent overreation against a mentally ill woman is the cowardice trifecta.
... wow, John, you could be a 'motivational speaker', like Anthony Robbins!
... "lead a more fulfilling life by knocking-out skanky, psycho, bitches"!
Now, for the 'advanced sessions', if you could just work-in killing crippled African Aids-orphans, then you'd really 'have the edge over the competition'!

Boy; talk about an overreaction in suppositions and name calling. You do your leftist brethren proud.

John K said...

Plus..You might be right about the woman being mentally ill.
I have always said that Liberalism is a mental illness. But we should feel sorry for the poor mentally ill anti-war hater. It would be most human to put her out of her misery. Heh?

RudeBoyMurphy said...

overreaction and name-calling?
no, I just call it as I see it, advocating violence against spitting women is cowardice.

'war hater'? where do you get that?
according to the OP, she spat on the soldier when she determined he was from Fort Drum.... wouldn't that make her a Fort Drum hater?

leftist brethren? where do you get the idea that I'm a leftie? Being opposed to violence against women could be seen as a very conservative attitude. The Left would be pushing equality.

spitting on people is a very un-liberal thing to do.
I don't know where you get your definition from, but a mental illness?
What is it that you think Libralism involves, that tallies with mental illness?
A definition would be nice, and I don't mean all the personal characteristics of people you don't like who have been branded 'liberal' (they often turn out like people branded 'communist', ie. nothing like the actual political doctrines, and more to do with personal style).
So John, what do you actually think Liberalism is?
What are the bad bits?
(I'm not defending Liberalism, I'm just interested in knowing what you think is in it that makes you respond so strongly? My guess is that it is more to do with some ineffectual politicians and not the doctrines, but want 'to hear it from the horse's mouth', so to speak)

John Gibson Distorts News Blurb Into Vietnam Style Anti War Action
Reported by Deborah - December 8, 2006 - 46 comments
John Gibson, flushed with patriotism, claimed a woman protesting the Iraq War spit in a soldier's face in Syracuse, New York. Gibson cited a Syracuse Post Standard story which made no mention of the accused spitter having political motives. Looking a bit deeper, a conservative blog posted that the woman in question had been arrested previously for the kind of behavior that would indicate mental instability causing impulsive aggression like spitting.

The Jawa Report also cited the vague news blurb and like Gibson blamed the left with this nasty comment.

"Someone tell me again about how the Left supports the troops, but not their mission."

They also linked to a police report stating that the accused woman had been arrested earlier this year for endangering a child. Her companions were arrested for weapons violations, harrassment and menacing behavior. There was no mention in the police blotter of anti war involvement or political affiliation. However this didn't stop Jawa Report from distorting the incident to suit their needs. They also posted the accused woman's full name and address in case any of their friends wanted to pay her a visit.

Gibson chose to run with the assumption that the woman spit at the soldier for poltical reasons and not because she was volatile and unstable.

"So it is Vietnam all over again, now that the Democrats have won. Now we have anti-war protesters living again the darkest days of the Vietnam War, when American soldiers got off the plane and anti-war types spit on them."

Then Gibson took the vague blurb and turned it into a growing movement about to engulf the country and dishonor our troops.

"But here we go again. That grotesque sense of self-righteousness has evidently overtaken the anti-war types again, and it is to the great shame of the anti-Iraq war movement that this is happening again."

comment: John Gibson's ploy to discredit Democrats shows a total lack of regard for our troops. Promoting this distortion can only make our soldiers feel under appreciated and that's unforgivable. This spitting woman sounds like one unstable and erratic person who behaved badly. She does not represent any political party and is no omen of things to come. John Gibson is the one who owes our troops an apology.
