Childless And Happy

GirlI am so glad I don't have kids. There is so much propaganda and indoctrination in schools and television shows today. The an't even watch cartoons without being force fed a load of green garbage. I remember when the green on Nickelodeon came from the slime on shows like "You Can't Do That On Television" and "Double Dare". Now kids are being told that they know more than their parents and that they should educate them on issues. Giving them condoms and telling girls how to have an abortion without their parents knowing. "The Story Of Stuff". "An Inconvenient Truth". I think not.

As any parent will tell you the biggest influence in a child’s life is the parents…period. Schools can be changed, TV shows can be turned off and discussions about sex should be open and honest. What I emphasize with my children is critical thinking. I want them to learn how to think, not what to think.

I hope some day you do experience the joy of your own family.

Schools can't be changed by everyone. The town I live in only has one high school. To change, one would have to go almost 20 miles. Not practical. TV's can be turned off, but, let's face, kids are resourceful. They can find things. "discussions about sex should be open and honest" is an opinion not shared by all parents. I'm not saying that the child would do it, but just the fact that there are some in schools who tell girls how to get an abortion without telling their parents is beyond outrageous.

All I'm saying is that I'm glad I don't have to deal with this stuff. As for hoping that I "experience the joy", no thank you. I don't like kids. I don't have the patience.
