For in reason, all government without the consent of the governed is the very definition of slavery - Jonathan Swift
Damn everyone who voted for this bill. Our elected officials have made their feelings towards us abundantly clear.

They're sitting up in Washington with what they mistakenly believe is power and we don't matter. We told them for a year that we didn't want this bill. That it wasn't what was best for the country, but they ignored us at every turn. They stuck their fingers in their ears and told us we were too dumb to know what was best. That we would learn to like it. This thing will reach in and, like a cancer, we will never be able to get it out. America has taken a big step towards becoming a Socialist nation. To hope that everyone who voted for this abomination looses their job is pointless. It's here and we now have to pay for it. Literally and figuratively. I would love to know all the bribes and threats that were used. I hope they all come out.
This is one of the biggest power grabs by our government that anyone have ever seen. They've laid the ground work for the government to take over health care. Also in that bill was another bill that makes it if you want a student loan for college it can only be through the government. There's the first stone laid for the take over of education. And another provision has come to light. The IRS will be able to confiscate refunds if you don't buy your mandated health insurance. What joy. Check out FDR's Second Bill of Rights to see exactly where this president wants to go.
But all hope is not lost. This isn't the end of it. We can't let it be. Because we have a powerful tool on our side. Our Dear Leader may view it as a "charter of negative liberties" but our Constitution is the ultimate voice of resistance to the slavery they're trying to impose. The 10th Amendment states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.". There are already states that have or are considering standing up for their Constitutional rights and saying no. My great state of Oklahoma included. Some states are planning lawsuits. This fight is not over. Not yet.
"We the people" tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us. "We the people" are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which "We the people" tell the government what it is allowed to do. "We the people" are free. - Ronald Reagan

100,000 calls an hour. People are worked up and steaming and, as a result, they're being threatened with police action for "harassment".

Tomorrow could witness one of the biggest moments in American history. I say could because it's not 100% positive the vote will take place on Sunday. It most likely will, but it could be delayed. Our government has made it Us (the American people) vs. Them. They won't listen to us. We talk, we ask, we yell, we scream, we cry, we beg, we plead and they continue to turn a deaf ear to us. This bill will pass. Please, have no illusions to the contrary. Universal Hell Care will pass. Progressives will lie, cheat, intimidate, threaten and bribe to make damn sure it does. I truly weep for where this country has fallen.

Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Hawaiian hospital on Wednesday with chest pains and was said to be in "serious condition". Here's some of the vile things I've seen on Twitter about this:
I hope Rush Limbaugh dies. I really do and I don't feel even the slightest bit bad for saying it.
Dear 2009: you have approximately 23.5 hours left to not suck, so sack up and LET RUSH LIMBAUGH DIE.
No one wants Rush Limbaugh to die. But they do want his doctors to fail.
Rush Limbaugh recovering in a Hawaii hospital. From the heavens a voice is heard to say... "Shit! I missed!"
That's just a small sample.

Will you or your children be taking the H1N1 vaccine when it become available? I doubt I will. I haven't had a flu shot in years and I've only had the flu, maybe, twice in my life. I know the media and the government have tried to scare the crap out of us, and it's work to some extent on me, but I just don't feel all that threatened by it. Plus, you know there's going to be a shortage so I'll just save mine for someone who might need it. Also, do we really know what all the side effects may be? They tell us it's safe, but you'll have to forgive me if I have questions.
The bill gives the Public Health Commissioner the discretion to respond to an outbreak of the kind that's going on in Mexico. To close or evacuate buildings, to enter private property, isolate or quarantine people. What was it that Rahm Emanuel said? "Rule One: Never allow a crisis to go to waste. They are opportunities to do big things." And Hillary Clinton? "Never waste a good crisis." Can't help but wonder if the federal government will follow suit.
How's that adage go? "You can judge a man by the company he keeps". Or something like that. Well, this is the company our president keeps. This must be why we have so much fake anger. Also, if someone could find me a roundup of all of Obama's czars, who they are, what they believe and such, that would be great.
It all makes perfect sense to me now. It's so simple. I am looking forward to this because the way we're ding it know is the old way. This is the future.
I wonder if Obamacare will be run like Social Security? Because if it is, then it's going to be a massive success.

6am? Why the hell am I up at 6am? I've posted in the past about my dog and his medical problems. It's gotten worse since then. Just over a year later and he's now got a yeast infection, which he's had for a few months, and now he may have Cushing's Syndrome. The doctor who's been seeing him for the past six months or so doesn't know what she's doing. Kept pointing things out to her and it never raised any flags. So I took him in on Friday for a followup and the main doctor just looked at him and knew something wasn't right. So I have to take him in this morning for some tests. Now if this "doctor" who'd been seeing him knew anything I could have been done with this months ago and could have already started trying to get him better. But it might be too late, I don't know. Fingers crossed that they find what's wrong with him and we can start doing what needs to be done. The tests they need to do will apparently take all day, so I'll give an update when I find something out.
UPDATE
I just go the call about 30 minutes ago. He didn't make it. He's had problems with his heart and last night he was having trouble breathing. Sitting there last night, watching him, I knew it wasn't good. I had to start preparing myself for what could happen. If I'd known the last time I would see him would be this morning as I dropped him off I would have said a longer goodbye. He had 12 good years, but this last year had just been bad. At least that's all done with. I've lost count how many times I've had to stop while typing this. I have to go to the vet after while to fill out some forms to have him cremated. There's another stop. But I'll be fine. I'm going to take a few days and should be back later this week. But I will get the Wednesday Hero post up.

If you'll remember back to June of last year I talked about going to the ER for a kidney stone. I had to make another trip last night. On Wednesday I noticed that my right leg was a little sore. Thought it was just a sore muscle. Then Thursday it was a little more sore, it felt a little stiff and was turning red. Then on Friday it was bad. I could barely walk, my leg was bright red, it was very stiff and there was a lot of pain. Woke up yesterday and it was a little better. So I decided to wait until Monday to see what it was doing whether or not to have it checked out. Then I was told by someone that it could be a blood clot, so I decided to go ahead and head to the ER just to make sure. Long story short, it wasn't a blood clot but rather Cellulitis. Which is just an infection. So nothing to worry about. But I did have one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life while there. Not sure if anyone has ever been tested for a blood clot in the leg but what they have to do is take an ultrasound of the leg. And they start right up in your groin. Now, I'm very ticklish. Very. And she has this thing right up in there. I'm wondering why I even have my underwear on she was so far north. Every time she presses down I'm clenching every muscle I have and trying not to laugh while laying there with this strange woman digging in my groin. No pain, but I never want that again. 3 1/2 hours all this took with the last 45 minutes just waiting around for them to give me my prescription for antibiotics and discharge me. I think I still have some of that gel from that ultrasound on me.
A woman in Spain has successfully had her windpipe replaced by one that was grown from her own stem cells. Not embryonic, but adult stem cells.
A 30-year-old Spanish woman has made medical history by becoming the first patient to receive a whole organ transplant grown using her own cells.h/t: Master Of None
Experts said the development opened a new era in surgery in which the repair of worn-out body parts would be carried out with personally customized replacements.

Two further patients, from Germany and the United States, are in hospital in Barcelona, awaiting transplants of their windpipes, which had been damaged by cancer, he said. It would take two to three months to grow the replacement organs and "put them in good shape" before operating, he added.
I woke up on Tuesday morning to the most intense pain I'd ever felt in my life. It felt like my lower back was on fire. I thought it was just a muscle or something. A few hours later the pain went away and I was fine. Then today, Friday, I again woke to that same pain. Only this time it lasted longer and there was a bit of blood in my urine. I just got back from the emergency room where they told me that I was trying to pass a kidney stone. If you've never passed one, count your lucky stars. I don't cry very often, but that pain had me in tears today. Hopefully this damn thing will pass in the next couple of days so I can be done with it.
Women may be at risk of mental health breakdowns if they have abortions, a medical royal college has warned. The Royal College of Psychiatrists says women should not be allowed to have an abortion until they are counselled on the possible risk to their mental health...If there is a link, shouldn't a woman who's having this done be informed?
The Royal College of Psychiatrists recommends updating abortion information leaflets to include details of the risks of depression. "Consent cannot be informed without the provision of adequate and appropriate information," it says.
Several studies, including research published in the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry in 2006, concluded that abortion in young women might be associated with risks of mental health problems

The ex Prime Minister, 82, was being kept in overnight at St Thomas’ Hospital, central London, for “precautionary tests”.The Sun
A spokeswoman for the hospital said Thatcher was in a "stable" condition and speaking to the medical staff.
She was taken ill at 10.15pm and returned to her Pimlico home before being whisked to hospital. Lady Thatcher’s health has deteriorated in recent years and she has had a number of strokes.
Now, we need to keep an eye on The Huffington Post. If you'll remember, when Nancy Reagan went into the hospital last month, their "open minded, tolerant, progressive" readers wished for her to die. Saying
collapse: the old bat will probably steal every thing in the hospital room. if she croaks, does she have to give her free house back, cause i guarantee you michael reagan ain't getting tiddly
Klip: Like her evil husband she has lived far too long..Here's hoping the Hag suffers for several weeks then croaks in the tub.

doctordawg: Sounds like her legs are having trouble supporting the weight of her conscience. She'll be fine with her bottomless millionaire healthcare coverage. Remember, she actually does have a choice. Only the good die young.
I've talked about my dog here a few times. Well, he's been feeling kind of crappy the last couple of days. He's had rapid, labored breathing, kind of lethargic and was coughing. So I took him to the vet and it turns out he has an enlarged heart. He has Chronic Valvular Disease, which means a valve in his heart is leaking and it's having to work harder to pump blood. It's common in small breeds as they get older, he's an 11-year-old Shi-Tzu, and is usually easily treated with medication and a special diet. You know, this is my little guy here. And seeing him in pain hurts. I have to take him back to the vet in a few weeks for a check up. I'll give an update then.

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton once again put forth her plan for universal health care. This time, you HAVE to buy health insurance or the government will garnish your wages.
The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC's "This Week," she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people's wages, automatic enrollment."

A new study says that the AIDS virus may have entered the U.S. via a Haitian immigrant back in 1969. Now, this story brings up a very good argument for tougher border security. Since we have no earthly idea who's coming into this country via the borders, we have no idea what's being brought with them. The super aggressive AIDS virus known as "super AIDS", TB, avian flu or something we don't even know about yet. You know, you don't see someone coming for work as a problem. What ever. But what if the next pandemic the media has been scaring us with the past few years comes from someone sneaking across one of the borders. Really. Is it that far fetched?

Some English people have resorted to pulling out their own teeth because they cannot find -- or cannot afford -- a dentist, a major study has revealed. You must be in some serious pain to go this far.
Six percent of those questioned in a survey of 5,000 patients admitted they had resorted to self-treatment using pliers and glue, the UK's Press Association reported.
Where NHS dental services are available, people are happy with the quality of treatment provided but many find the NHS fee system confusing and expensive, with some patients taking out loans to pay for treatment or more worryingly taking matters into their own handsCredit: Master Of None
