THAT'S GOVERNMENT FOR YOU
Still not convinced Gov. Kathleen Blanco is an inept leader. Well, this should help. Big areas of her state are in ruin and what's her number one concern? The remodeling of some of the offices in the Capital Building.

"The newly refurbished office space on the sixth floor of the State Capitol includes hookups and mounts for two flat screen televisions, Swedish granite countertops, walnut paneling and frosted laminated glass. The floor, which will not be accessible to the public, was redesigned to add three new offices, a conference room and file storage areas."

All to the tune of $564,838 to which Gov. Blanco is proposing budget cuts to state programs and the possibility of laying off 20 percent of the state workforce to pay for it all. Wish I could say I was surprised or even shocked, but I'm not.

IT'S ALL HIS FAULT
And this time, I'm not talking about Bush. The Hollywood Reporter is blaming Drudge for the lest than stellar performance of King Kong. It cost $207 Million to make and it's only make around half of that back at the box office, and somehow it's Matt Drudge's fault. I love Hollywood. It's never the fact that it's a crappy movie, there has to be another reason a "masterpiece" like King Kong isn't succeeding. You know, if Drudge really had the power to kill a film, Micheal Moore's outhouse of a mockumentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, would have sank faster than the stomach of the manager of a Western Sizzler holding an All You Can Eat day and Moore himself walked in.

I've talked about this album long enough. Now it's time to show just why Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon is the greatest album ever written. All this month I will giving it to you, for free. If you've never heard it, but have been wondering what's so special about it or want to rediscover it again then here's your chance. There's just something magical about DSOTM. The music, the lyrics, the ambiance. But, if you do download, don't skip a song. The album was done so as to be one long song broke into nine parts, with the exception of one song. You skip one song and you'll miss the beginning of the next. And be sure to listen with headphones or you won't get the true experience. And sorry for it being in WMA format, but for some reason ripping it in MP3 was cutting songs off and doing other strange things.

THE END IS NEAR
The apocalypse is here my friends. Fires, floods, record highs and lows all on the first day of 2006. All Bush's fault no doubt. But seriously, while California is getting flooded we here in The Great State Of Oklahoma^TM are being surrounded by wildfires stretching from Oklahoma City, around 100 miles away from me, to Jenks, around 30 miles away from me with no rain in sight. If I stop blogging for awhile it's because my home's on fire and I'm running for my life. Well, not exactly running, but walking pretty gosh darn fast.

I've never been in the armed forces, so I don't even pretend to know everything you go through or the sacrifices you have made or are making. But my father was in the Army during the Korean War so I have tremendous respect for you and what you do for us. Not only is she horse ass ugly, but Madeleine Albright is donkey ass dumb as well.
