With Bush's winning of a second term we keep hearing that the people have spoken. That they want this country to move in a more Conservative direction. True enough. But if you're one of these people that think this is the dawning of a new day for our country, you need to read the rest of this. Some time back I talked about this. The direction of this country moves in cycles. In the 80's, this country moved towards the right with Reagan. In the 90's, it moved towards the left with Clinton. And now in the, you know, I've never known what to call this. I guess the first decade of the 21st century, it's moved back towards the right with Bush. But don't start thinking it's going to last. It's not. I don't know who will be president in 2009 after Bush has left office. It could be a Republican or a Democrat. But at that time this country will start to move back to the left for another 10 or so years. That's how it works. I would love to see this wave of Conservatism last, but I'm afraid it won't. We will have to go back to the dark day of Liberalism.
