Democrats & Terrorism

Newsweek has released a new mess of polls. Everything from Bush's new approval ratings to what Americans think of the Dem win last Tuesday. But the one I'm focusing on is in the last paragraph.
Another 69 percent said they were concerned that the new Congress would keep the administration "from doing what is necessary to combat terrorism," and two-thirds said they were concerned it would spend too much time investigating the administration and Republican scandals
A majority of the country think the Democrats will not properly fight the War On Terror. Let's hope we're wrong.

Dammit... and now I've lost the poll I had which said that the majority of people thought that Bush was worse for the War on Terror than the Democrats. *shakes fist at you in mock anger*

ZA; That poll you lost; I saw as well; but you did not tell the rest of the story as to why.
The Dems have not STATED a position on The War on Terrorism through out the whole election process. They do not have a public position.

That's actually untrue. They've stated various suggestions... If you visit TonyR's blog, you'll even see him complaining about one such publication (for being too incomplete if memory serves).

However, there is some variance in what is being suggested by the Democrats. Not that it matters greatly, since there's just as much variance coming from the Republican candidates.

Iam un aware that "suggestions" were actaul statements of position on issues. There have been none on this issue from the DNC. Suggestions are not public positions.

Right. Suggesting alternative policies is never a public position. Helps terrorists too I hear.

I'am glad you agree. It does help terrorists; but once again; thats what the Dems are all about. Destroying America to help the Islamists.

Of course. It's obvious they hate America for its freedoms. And anything the CIA says to the contrary is because it's being infiltrated by evil people who also hate America.

Nothing to do with the fact that your foreign policy is more hypocritical than a heroine addict lecturing a coffee drinker about caffeine addictions.

Like you would know as well; being a quarter Jew and hating Jews. Claiming Christianity but undermining it and claiming its equivelncy to Islam in deeds and faith.

Prior to the Democrats having control over any component of the political process, all they could do was 'suggest' policy (now they can have influence over what becomes policy).
It is for governments to have policies (preferably ones that don't get people killed, and invade sovereign nations), and the opposition to 'suggest' alternatives.

*note to self* Stop hassling those filthy evil coffee-fiends

I don't hate Jews, I just think Israel's foreign policy is geared towards making more enemies than friends, and that the violence of Israel exceeds the violence against it.

And I claim Christianity, whilst pointing out the flaws in its institutions, as well as something else you simply are incapable of understanding - that a religion's core values and those of their followers often differ (a good example is yourself, who actively advocates policies that are abhorrent by Jesus' standards).

Well; not only are your standards abhorent because you actually deny God's words; but your deeds as well. You sir are an apostate as your whole church is. Anglican idiot. Yet you try and lecture others on Christs teaching; not even knowing or reading the truth of what Christ said. Your kind is the biggest Hypocrite of all.

Christ preached 'compassion' and 'forgiveness' above all other things, not the hatred and extermination of people who follow a different faith!

This is easier for some people to say than live (some can't even say it)

" Thats right Capt; and waiting around to get your infidel throat cut is no virture."

Well, if you take christ's example, it is a virtue.
... and He certainly didn't advocate war
you're not a christian are you John?
