Fuck The Troops

Apparently that's what the American people said when they voted Democrats back into power last year. These bills that recently past through Congress are just more proof that the government is playing a game of chess with our military. "Support the pullout or the troops won't get funded". Way to flex that newly won power. Then they go on the talk circuit and try to tell us that it's Bush's doing if the troops don't get funded because he's the one who will have vetoed the bills. These assholes in Congress KNEW that he would veto a withdraw bill so they tacked in onto the funding. That way they can continue to give handjobs to their hardcore base and still look like they support the troops. Sicking. Everyone one of these dicks that voted for these bills should be taken out and shot. They've bitch and moan that the troops aren't getting the things they need, so when they finally come into power and are able to fix it what do they do? Flip them off and tell them Fuck You. I feel sorry for anyone who voted for these bastards.

Damn You Global Warming

If you've been paying attention to the news you know it's been a bad week for weather in fly over country. If you live here, then you KNOW it's been a bad weather week. Almost 70 tornadoes, but very few deaths. You know when you have that many tornadoes this early in the season it's going to be a hellish April and May. We, in Oklahoma, had our first death due to a tornado since 2001 on Wednesday. It's been a relatively quite few years. It was nice. But I think it's time to make up for that. I hate weather.

Why The Scottish Military Is Pretty Damn Good As Well

Usually this is called Why The U.S. Military Is The Best In The World, but these weapons aren't from the U.S. military. They're from Scotland. The Thor – Multi-Mission Air Defense and one of the missiles it fires, the Starstreak. These were on Futureweapons on Discover. So you might want to check their site to see if they have any of the video up for viewing.

Maybe, Maybe Not

Not sure if I'll keep this look or not. I wanted to try something different, but I didn't want to do another boring basic template.

Billy Hodges, who served in the U.S. Army and Texas National Guard between 1971-1979, is not only being profiled for his service, but also for what he's done since then. Mr. Hodges runs an organization based in El Campo, Tx called Hunts For Heroes. They also have chapter in South Carolina , Arkansas , Mississippi , and California and what they do is take soldiers who've been wounded in battle on hunting and fishing trips and other outdoor related activities. All free of charge.

Olbermann Is A True Democrat

AKA, a jackass. Not sure how he managed it, but on his show tonight he was talking about Tony Snow's cancer coming back and he somehow turned in into another one of his Bush rants. Only a true hate-filled ass could do it, and Olbermann is that hate-filled ass.

What really scares me about Olbermann is that his ratings have been going up over the past year. From around 200,000 or less to now being somewhere around 5-700,000. Can't remember right off the top of my head. It scares me that so many people like to listen to his hate speech night after night. If anyone has any doubts that the Democratic party is being overtaken by the extreme far Left, Countdown With Keith Olbermann's ratings are the proof. Along with The Daily Show.

Hillary Is Now An Injun

Hillary is proud of her new name, Walking Eagle.

After addressing a major gathering of the American Indian Nation, and making many promises, Hillary Clinton was presented with a plaque inscribed with her new Indian name. The name was: Walking Eagle. The senator promised to display the plaque in her office and left the reservation proudly holding the plaque.

At her office she asked one of the office cleaning staff to hang up the plaque for her. Knowing that the young man hanging the plaque was an Indian, she asked him to explain the meaning of the "Walking Eagle." The young Indian promptly responded that Walking Eagle is the name given by Indians to a bird so full of shit it can no longer fly.

Capt. Alan B. Rowe
35 years old from Hagerman, Idaho
1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center
September 3, 2004

The Perfect Marine. That's how many describe Capt. Alan B. Rowe. Respected and dedicated to the Corps and still able to be a husband and father.

Rowe, who was on his fourth deployment since joining the Corps in 1985, died with two other Marines, Lance Cpl. Nicholas Wilt, 23, of Tampa, Florida, and 1st Lt. Ronald Winchester, 25, of Rockville Center, N.Y., when a remote-controlled explosive device detonated as they returned to their vehicle after inspecting a bridge in Anbar province, near the Syrian border.

"He was a quiet, humble person and extremely polite," his widow, Dawn, recalled from their early days of dating. "He was a traditional type of gentleman. My mom was surprised to meet such a ... perfect-picture Marine." "He did a great job balancing a pretty intense Marine Corps career with also being a great husband and father. He worked extremely hard to balance it." "He was so dedicated to the Marine Corps. He was really driven and believed in what he did. He was a Marine’s Marine. Tall, blond and fit. Kind of the mental image you think of when you think of the Marine Corps."

A week after his death, Capt. Rowe was posthumously promoted to major. He leaves behind his wife and two children.

Al Gore: Pollution Profiteer?

It just seems to get worse and worse for The Great Green Savior. It's now being reported that Al Gore has profited from a Zinc mining operation as recently as 2003. Now, I'm not sure if the mine itself has caused any pollution, even the article says there's no evidence of it, and I'm not a mining expert, but don't they have to use smoke billowing machines like bulldozers, cranes and dump trucks in an operation like this? That's a lot of pollution. More than my 2005 Dodge Neon can make.

The article seems to go out of it's way to stress that the pollutants the mine has released into the atmosphere has been very small. I guess that's okay. Better a small amount of death material than a large one, eh Albert.

Four Years Later

Four years ago today, George W. Bush decided he would go on a little Iraqi adventure. He lied and schemed his way into making the American people believe that Saddam was a horrible man who had WMD's and had helped plan the 9/11 attacks. Four years later, Saddam is dead and Iraq is in a civil war. This war can not be won and we should pull all American troops out today.
IMPEACH, IMPEACH, IMPEACH.

Okay, that should satisfy the Left-wing. Now on to some rational thinking. Today marks the fourth year since American troops invaded Iraq and removed a mass murdered from power. While it hasn't gone the way the administration would have liked, it was still the right decision. I commend the men and woman who are putting their butts on the line in this War On Terror, not just in Iraq, and wish them all a speedy, safe return home. And it saddens me that so many people in this country have no faith in the ability of our troops. While some who read this blog don't agree, the American military is the best in the world and I happen to believe that they can win this war.

Who's Right?

On Drudge today, there are two polls up about how Iraqis feel things are going in their country. According to this poll on USA Today, things are bleak and hope is lost. But according to this poll from The Times in London, which is actually mentioned, if only briefly, in the USA Today piece, life is starting to get a little better and a slight majority feel that military operations will ultimately win. And only 27% feel that this is a civil war. I guess those Iraqis don't read the NY Times or get CNN.

Don't Do Your Civil Duty

This Was Brought To My Attention By John

My fellow Americans, and anyone else who's reading this. The next time you see something you feel is a little wonky, you need to just turn around and walk away. Unless you want to get sued that is. This couple saw something they thought was suspicious, and did what they felt was right. Did they over react? Maybe, but to be sued for it is just as much of an over reaction. People are just too damn bitchy anymore. Grow a set and get over it.

Actually, this couple should be grateful. At least they're not being beheaded for their insult to Islam. But I wouldn't be surprised if they're not threated, or worse, somewhere down the line.
Two men and one woman were stoned and shot in Pakistan for the crime of adultery. But Muslims are still peaceful, understanding people we shouldn't fear. So long as you don't sleep around, draw their God, drink alcohol, make fun of them, support Israel or America or say anything negative about Islam or Mohamed. Remember those rules and you'll be fine.

Wednesday Hero

Almost a month ago, the Wednesday Hero Blogroll received an email from a reader named Mike Gardner that contained something he had written in honor of this country's heroes. He asked that it be considered for a future post. It took almost a month, but here is his tribute.

At The Right Time, We Remember

The honor roll goes back farther than we can remember, it contains names we will never know...

I wasn't there when the American Colonial Army stood winter guard in the snows of Valley Forge wearing bloody rags for boots as they fought for my freedom.

I wasn't there in the war of 1812.

I wasn't in the trenches when the German's seared the lungs of young American men with mustard gas as they fought for my freedom in World War One.

I wasn't at Pearl Harbor when a single Japanese bomb detonated a million pounds of black powder on the Arizona and instantaneously killed over one thousand American sailors preparing to defend my freedom against the Japanese and the Nazis.

I didn't see the bullet riddled bodies of the Americans who died defending my freedom in Korea.

I only vaguely remember the nightly news clips of American soldiers as they carried out our government's orders in the jungles and swamps and tunnels of Vietnam.

I have never been with a family who lost a son or a daughter defending Kuwait, Afghanistan, or Iraq.

I wasn't there with any of them when they suffered as prisoners of war in any of these wars.

I have never been with a family whose child died in a peace time military training exercise.

Not every one of our veterans saw combat. Some were clerks, cooks, mechanics, machinists. Some served during war time, some served during peace time, some serve in peace today, ready for battle tomorrow. Today they prepare for the ongoing war against terrorists. Some gave their lives, some suffered wounds, some saw things that no human should ever have to see, and many did things that no human should ever have to do. And all gave their daily life, for a period of time, while many more gave their time to work in the industries that sustained our veterans.

Not all of those who have protected my freedom were even in the military. Some of them were the firemen, policemen, and paramedics who risked their lives each day, rushing in where most of us would never tread. Some are the doctors and nurses who treat the wounded, and go home and cry for them. Some of them were "just" passengers on commercial airline flights who, with faith in Christ, calmly chose to fight, and die if necessary, rather than let Flight 93 be used as a weapon against their country and their fellow citizens.

When I tried to join the US Air Force, my application was turned down for medical reasons.

Because others were, and will be there, I am privileged to continue to live in the greatest nation the world has ever known and to enjoy the greatest freedoms that any people have ever known.

The honor roll stretches forward to times, and places, and names we will never know...

And so I thank you, veteran, whoever you are, and wherever you are, whenever your service.

Thank you Vet. Thanks Dad. Today, I remember WHY I am free, and I thank you.

I know that when you were asked, at the right time, like Christ, you gave your life for me.

I haven't given this award away for a while, but these two morons really deserve it. Jared W. Here's what disturbs me about this. While a 20-year-old man is still somewhat immature and stupid, a 43-year-old should be old enough to know that this was a dumb idea.

What's Wrong With McCain?

So, I'm home, trying to get over a nasty cold, at least I hope it's only a cold, flipping through the dials and I run across story after story about how Rudy has taken a pretty big lead over McCain recently. All these pundits were trying to figure out why this is happening. It was also funny listening to them try an figure out why Giuliani is so popular with so many Conservatives, but that's a different post. The most popular theory was that McCain sides with Democrats too much. That may be part of the reason, but not the main one. Then I happened on either CNN or MSNBC and one pundit got it right. Look how he, McCain, announced his candidacy. On David Letterman's show. Letterman? He's nothing more than a professional looking Jon Stewart. That's why I feel so many Conservatives don't like McCain. He's too buddy-buddy with a media that hates us. He's constantly kissing their ass to try and garner their approval. While licking Letterman's and his Liberal audience's boots he says lives are being wasted in Iraq, then he pulls a John Kerry and flip-flops that, then he refuses the invitation to the CPAC.

And from what I've seen of Rudy Giuliani, and I may be wrong about this, but tries to come across as "This is me. Accept me or don't accept me".
As we all know, in 50 years the world will end. Maybe. But it doesn't have to happen. Former Canadian defense minister, Paul Hellyer, has the answer to the crisis du jour. The alien technology that the world governments are keeping secret.
I would like to see what (alien) technology there might be that could eliminate the burning of fossil fuels within a generation ... that could be a way to save our planet
And I thought Al Gore was the nut.

< img src="http://oi62.tinypic.com/wb291v.jpg" alt="U.S. Air Force">< /img>

The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Army Award) (Posthumously) to Captain Nathan J. Nylander, United States Air Force, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in connection with ground combat operations as an Advisor, NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan/438th Air Expeditionary Wing, NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan and Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM on 27 April 2011. On the morning of 27 April, an assailant opened fire upon United States personnel shooting seven U.S. Air Force Airmen and one American civilian contractor. Despite an extremely uncertain tactical situation, and with disregard for his own safety, Captain Nylander went to the Air Command and Control Center (ACCC), Afghan Air Force (AAF) Headquarters in response to the shooting. He responded when the gunman began shooting as he was with four other Airmen and eight Afghan personnel in a conference room adjoining the ACCC. Captain Nylander could have exited the building to safety, but chose instead to return and assist his fellow Airmen. Captain Nylander then engaged the gunman, wounding the assailant and when he remained on the floor motionless, Captain Nylander approached the other rooms. The gunman arose and went into a room across the hall from the conference room. When the gunman re-emerged into the hallway, Captain Nylander engaged the assailant again and during this exchange of gunfire, Captain Nylander sustained wounds to his left and right thighs. Although seriously wounded and bleeding heavily, he continued to engage the gunman until his weapon jammed. When he attempted to exit the rear entrance of the AAF Headquarters, he was killed by the gunman. Captain Nylander's brave actions degraded the gunman's capability and likely prevented further loss of life, including that of other U.S. personnel who remained in the AAF Headquarters. By his bold initiative, undaunted courage, and complete dedication to duty, Captain Nylander gallantly gave his life for his country and reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan and Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, and the United States Air Force. NARRATIVE TO ACCOMPANY AWARD: Captain Nathan J. Nylander, United States Air Force, distinguished himself by gallantry performed with marked distinction as an Advisor and member of the NATO Air Training Command-Afghanistan/438th Air Expeditionary Wing, NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan and Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan during OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. On the morning of 27 April 2011, a renegade Afghan Air Force officer entered the Air Command and Control Center (ACCC), Afghan Air Force (AAF) Headquarters and opened fire with a 9-mm. pistol, shooting seven U.S. Air Force Airmen and one American civilian contractor. When the gunman began shooting, Captain Nylander was with four other Airmen and eight Afghan personnel in a conference room adjoining the ACCC. At the sound of the gunshots, he moved toward the door between the AAAC and the conference room. With Captain Bradley and Captain Cheslak providing cover, Captain Nylander evacuated the conference room. After exiting the conference room, he could have continued to safety, but chose instead to return and assist his fellow Airmen. He took up a firing position next to Captain Bradley in the hallway when the gunman emerged from the ACCC. Captain Bradley and Captain Nylander engaged the gunman with their 9-mm. pistols, wounding him at least once and possibly twice. When the gunman remained on the floor and did not move, Captain Bradley made eye contact with Captain Nylander, gave him a signal to withdraw, and then exited the building. Although the tactical situation was extremely uncertain, Captain Nylander chose to remain in the building and did not withdraw. While Captain Nylander was likely in the conference room or ACCC, the gunman got up and went into a room across the hall from the conference room. When the gunman re-emerged into the hallway, Captain Nylander engaged the gunman again with his 9-mm.. During this exchange, Captain Nylander was shot in the left thigh and sustained a grazing wound to his right thigh. Bleeding from his wounds, Captain Nylander began to move toward the rear entrance of the AAF Headquarters. Although seriously wounded and bleeding heavily, Captain Nylander continued to engage the gunman until his 9-mm. jammed. He cleared two rounds from his weapon and the final round was found jammed in the chamber. When Captain Nylander attempted to exit the rear entrance of the AAF Headquarters, he was killed by the gunman. Of his own volition, Captain Nylander chose to return to an extremely dangerous and unknown tactical situation and engage an attacker who had taken the lives of eight fellow Americans. After an initial exchange of gunfire, Captain Nylander again chose to stay, with the likely intent of aiding the fallen. Captain Nylander's brave actions degraded the gunman's capability and likely prevented further loss of life, including that of other U.S. personnel who remained in the AAF Headquarters. His distinct gallantry while engaged with a hostile attacker, exemplifies loyalty, selfless service, and personal courage. By his bold initiative, undaunted courage, and complete dedication to duty, Captain Nylander gallantly gave his life for his country and reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the NATO Training Mission–Afghanistan and Combined Security Transition Command–Afghanistan, and the United States Air Force.< /center>< /I>
