As some of you know, I'm a video game junkie. And I was looking forward to the new Playstation 3 coming out later this year. That was until this. $500 for the 20GB version and $600 for the 60GB. What the hell? $500 for a video game system. I don't care if it has this new blueray DVD technology or not. That's outrageous. Then comes this from the head of Sony Computer Entertainment. Saying that the price is actually not a problem. WTF?
Sony's been on top ever since the Playstation came out, but with this asinine price I think Microsoft will be the top dog this time. It's XBOX 360 sales for $300 and $400. That's what I'm going to be getting. Wal-Mart layway, here I come.

The PS3 is significantly better - it uses supercomputer technology, while the Xbox 360 just uses twin G5 processors. Hence the price difference.
Plus Blu-Ray. I've been loyal to Sony since the PS1, and I'd love to get a PS3, but I can't justify paying $500 for it. When for about the same amount I can get a 360 Core system, wireless controller, HD and Quake 4.
The 360 has one advantage - Halo 3. It looks REALLY good.
The PS3 has their own. Killzone. Have you seen the video? If that's real, and not pre-rendered, good God. That's what had me all excited, until the price was announced.
I saw the Final Fantasy XIII trailer, that was insane.
Well, if you get the chance, watch the trailer for Killzone. That's how a game should look.
Will do.
Mind you, my brain's "comparative gaming" lobe got completely fried after seeing a planet opened up by the Covenant Armada, turned into a weapon and fired, while Master Chief was standing on it.
