Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
It's doesn't mean we have to agree with what's said. It doesn't mean we can't speak up against something we don't like. What it does mean is that we can't be punished for saying something dumb, unpopular or controversial. And the latest victim of this fascism is Michael Savage. He says something ignorant and very controversial, and what's the first reaction by some people? "He should be fired". What for? Exercising his first amendment right?
