The NAACP/Shirley Sherrod Story Is Dead On This Blog

This will be the last time that I talk about this story because Glenn Beck is right. It's a smoke screen for the government's power grab. While were concerned with this woman they sneak around the backdoor and pass a new piece of legislation. Haha. He called this months ago when he told us race would be the next big issue. And look what's happening. The NAACP blames them for their reaction, yet they'd already released their statement before Fox even talked about this story. But, you know, don't let that dissuade those on MSNBC from laying the blame. If you saw his show today you heard him talk about the media being the next target. And what's happening? Fox News, despite actually siding with Ms. Sherrod, is somehow the bad guy of this story. It's been the enemy of this administration from day one. Watch events over the next few months. Watch for new crises and emergencies to pop up. See how many times FNC and talk radio and such are demonized. We have an election coming up and there are a lot of backs against the wall and there's nothing more dangerous than an animal that's cornered. I'm wearing tied of these games, and yet I continue to fall for them. Something I need to work on.

Then why would Fox ask for a statement from the NAACP if they had already released one?

“On July 19, FoxNews.com reported: "Days after the NAACP clashed with Tea Party members over allegations of racism, a video has surfaced showing an Agriculture Department official regaling an NAACP audience with a story about how she withheld help to a white farmer facing bankruptcy." The FoxNews.com article further reported that "[t]he video clip was first posted by BigGovernment.com" and that "FoxNews.com is seeking a response from both the NAACP and the USDA." The article is no longer available on FoxNews.com but was republished on another website:”

If you’re correct, then provide the evidence. When did the NAACP release their statement and when did Fox start covering this story?

It’s interesting that now that the focus of this story has inconveniently shifted back on the people who first broke it you don’t want to talk about it anymore. You were complaining earlier about how this story would not get picked up by the established media. Then once it was and the full context of this woman’s remarks had come out the facts suddenly didn’t matter any more.

Glenn Beck is not right. Glenn Beck lives in a world of his own paranoid fantasies. To claim that this is some conspiracy by the Obama Administration (who looked like weak fools during this episode) to distract from their evil plan is insane. No evidence, no facts – just wild speculation. This entire affair should have been a teaching moment for everyone. It’s important to know all the facts before we rush to judgment. Instead you completely miss the point and decide to side with Glenn Beck’s tired old story.
