Have a look at this picture.That's a Russian MIG-25 fighter jet troops found buried in the sand. Now, if that was buried, and troops just found it, there's no telling what else is out there. But don't tell the Left that, it's just preposterous that Saddam would have buried stuff like that. Want to know some other stuff that's been found the vast majority of Big Media isn't reporting on?

-500 tons of yellow cake uranium that was found at Saddam's nuclear weapons facility.

-1.8 tons of partially enriched uranium found at the same place. That's the stuff you need to make nukes.

As you know, I do a Fallen Heroes post every Wednesday. Well, I want to change it up some. For the next few weeks I'm going to be profiling soldiers who either are still in Iraq and Afghanistan or have come home safely. All we hear on the news is about the soldiers who have died, makes better news I guess, we rarely hear much about the ones who are still there risking their lives or who have made it home. I think they need some recognition as well. Some will have pictures and/or a small bio and some will won't because I was just unable to find anything. I've asked Greta's husband and STG_E to help me with this, being that both were in Iraq, so some of these will be people they know as well.

IT'S A CONTRADICTION
Over the past few days we've heard "expert" after "expert" droll on about how global warming is causing all these hurricanes. How global warming is causing them to be bigger and stronger than ever. Even how Bush is to blame for Katrina. Gee, who would have seen that one coming? People like these Germans for instance. Ah, but wait, it's seems there's some arguing amongst the ranks. Because William M. Gray, a professor of atmospheric science at Colorado State University, and Kerry A. Emanuel, a hurricane expert at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say this is normal. Now, who am I going to believe, a professor of atmospheric science and an actual hurricane expert or the German Environmental Minister, who's a member of the Green Party, and some German news papers? Damn, that's a tough one.

Oh, by the way, the Germans are saying that this shows that America needs to change it's attitude towards Kyoto. That we need to step in line and sign up. Well, let's see how much Kyoto as cost the world to date...$80,435,745,768 and counting. Hardly seems worth it.

SAY THAT AGAINHuh, this war Bush started for Iraqi oil doesn't seem to be working out, what with almost $3 to almost $4 for a gallon of gas. When are we going to tell the tree hugging butt monkeys to take a flying leap and finally drill ANWR? It's not the perfect solution, it's not going to be the thing to end high oil prices forever, but it will help until we can find something permanent.

They talk about how our military is burying U.S. soldiers in Iraq to try and cover up the actual casualty numbers. Warning, there are some graphic photos with the stories. However, if you ask me, and I'm no master, only a Chief, but I smell a Photoshop job. Look at the third picture on the first story. The face looks like it has a stocking over it to smash it down a little and the tattoo on the arm has been drawn on. And as for the second story. Two words, anonymous source. Za, I must hand it to you, you know how to pick 'em.

Greta, your husband was over there. I think I'll trust an actual soldier who fought there over the media. Is our government trying to cover-up the numbers by doing something as sick as this?

Here's a great piece from KRON in San Francisco about Cindy Sheehan. As you would expect, it's a gushing piece about her and not about her lying at every interview she gives. It talks about how she has the support of the "acting president of the United States", Martin Sheen and the right honorable media whore Al Sharpton. Then at the end of the piece they throw this in.

" Meanwhile, a few dozen Bush supporters held signs from their small camp in a ditch across the street from Sheehan's original site, where most of the dozens of protesters have continued camping off the main road leading to Bush's ranch."

A few dozen? From what I've heard, the number of Bush supporters out there equal or even outnumber the anti-freedom protestors. A small camp in a ditch. I love that part. They're just a rag-tag bunch of right-wing nuts while "Camp Media Attention", I mean "Camp Casey" is this well oiled machine with the voice of the people. Love that Liberal Media.

The final song for August, and I saved the best for last. This is a fast, upbeat, toe-tapper. Simple lyrics that repeat, but the guitar work is amazing. You can almost see the smoke rising off the strings. It's a live version off Live At Pachyderm Studios. The crowd sounds small because it is. PACIFISM
The facts are, no matter how pure the ideal of pacifism sounds, it is in fact nothing but moral and intellectual cowardice.

Pacifism had lead to slavery in the U.S. during the 1700's and 1800's, the slaughter of millions under Hitler during WWII, the slaughter of millions in Rwanda and the slaughter of potentially millions under Saddam. We may never know the real numbers.

The article then has this one sentence about the War In Iraq and what would happen should we pull out. He could have went into a little more detail.

"The pacifist, if they desire, only need look back to the atrocities that occurred in Vietnam after the United States withdrew to see the folly of their ideology"

That's something Big Media doesn't seem to want to talk about. How many people were butchered in South Vietnam, for the only reason of supporting us, after we pulled out? If you don't think the something will happen in Iraq, you need to pull your head out of your ass and have a gander at the real world. al-Zarqawi would make Saddam and his hell spawn look like amateurs in the numbers of men, women and children he would kill.

Michael Yon has another great post up. This one about a firefight he was in. Just one thing. It's LONG. I couldn't even read it all, my eyes started to blur on me. But make sure you check out the photos he took. This is what a journalist is. There are actual journalists anymore save a few that retain the old ways. Most are now just prompter jockeys, or reporters if you like. The ones like Michael Yon are the last true jounalists out there. There's not many in the media who're out with the troops anymore. Who are actually in the heat of the battles. Who could be shot and killed at any moment. Most of the reporters in Iraq stay at their hotels and maybe catch a soldier who happens to be walking by or may go to an area that was involved in a fight after everything has calmed down. Michael Yon's right there catching these soldiers as the fight and as they get shot. Head over and read is dispatch.

A DOLLAR A POUND
Here's a story that hasn't gotten to much press coverage. Michael Moore is set to fork over, no pun intended, $3,800 a week to go to a Florida weigh loss center to loose weight. Just like the Hollywood elite. $3,800, when all he has to do is eat less and exorcise more. That's what I'm trying to do, and funny enough it's working a little. And without dishing out almost four grand a week. Go figure. And I'm obviously no expert in diets, but isn't four pounds a week kind of dangerous? The ideal, from what I've heard, is one or two. I hate Michael Moore, and I really am glad to see him doing this, but don't be dumb about it. Well, any more dumb than paying $4,000 a week anyway.

I'm not a big fan of the German's, but this Henryk M. Broder seems like a very bright man. Too bad he'll be vilified by those on the Left in Europe for what he wrote. And what is it exactly that he wrote? The truth. Read this article about how Europe's past of appeasement has, and will, cost them dearly. At least Great Britain is doing something and all it took was a couple of terror attacks. I guess the rest of Europe will need their own demonstration before they open their eyes. When that first bomb goes off in Munich I want to see what Schroeder's reaction will be. Will it be the typical "let's make a deal" Liberal garbage or will it be "let's kick their ass, I finally grew a set" mentality that's needed? Or what about Chirac? There have been attempts to attack France's railway system. But they've been lucky and have been able to stop them. But when they miss the next one and it kills, say 500 innocent people, what will Chirac's reaction be? Typical French turn tail and run or will he finally realize that you don't get attacked for siding with another country, but rather because you're not like the one's that attacked. I'm not saying I want another European country attacked, but sadly it looks like that's the only way for them to smarten up.

HOW'S HYPOCRISY SPELLED
B.I.G.M.E.D.I.A., that's how. Recently Pat Robertson voiced his opinion, one I agree with by the way, that we should assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. And predictably BM went into a tizzy. Well, have a gander at this. In 1997, while still senior advisor to President Clinton, George Stephanopoulos wrote a column for Newsweek magazine called "Why We Should Kill Saddam". In the piece, Stephanopoulos wrote

"Assassination may be Clinton's best option. If we can kill Saddam, we should"

Also, in 1997, Saddam was thought to be under control. But Stephanopoulos didn't think so.

"We've exhausted other efforts to stop him, and killing him certainly seems more proportionate to his crimes and discriminate in its effect than massive bombing raids that will inevitably kill innocent civilians"

And how would Stephanopoulos have gotten around that pesky law that says we can't kill foreign leaders?

"If Clinton decides we can and should assassinate Saddam, he could call in national-security adviser Sandy Berger and sign a secret National Security Decision Directive authorizing it"

And what was Big Media's reaction to this?And what will BM's reaction be to this story? Look up.

Pat Robertson, who's nothing to the Bush administration, says we should kill a foreign leader and the media treats it as if he's the right hand man to Bush and it's an outrage, but when one of Clinton's actual right hand men says it they were oddly silent. Go figure.

November 23, 2003

Chief Warrant Officer 2 Christopher G. Nason was a superb leader who was an expert linguist and able to accomplish any mission given him, said his battalion commander, Lt. Col. Mark Costello.

Nason, a member of the 306th Military Intelligence Battalion, excelled in highly stressful environments, Costello said. The 39-year-old from Los Angeles was killed Nov. 23 when his vehicle was struck by a civilian tanker truck in northern Iraq. He was based at Fort Huachuca.

Nason was in charge of the unmanned aerial vehicle section of the New Systems Training and Integration Office. He is survived by a sister.
These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

Happy Birthday to me. Damn, 26 years old. Almost 30. I'm feel so sad. It's true, when you're a kid you can't image ever being 30 and here I am. Well, not quite yet. So, The Rolling Stones are upset that Bush doesn't listen to them when it comes to foreign policy. I can't imagine why he wouldn't listen to them. After all, rock stars are the foremost experts when it comes do dealing with foreign policy. Just ask them and they'll tell you so.

I love the Stones. They've made some of the best music of all time, but I think it's sad that they wrote "My Sweet Neo Con". They're just trying to jump on the "big thing" bandwagon, which today seems to be "bash Bush and all Republicans". I recently watch this movie and was amazed at how good it was. I thought I would like it, but it was a lot better than I thought it would. It's based on the "graphic novel", comic, by the same name. It stars Keanu Reeves as John Constantine, a demon hunter who's trying to stop the son of Satan from crossing over into our world and the very beautiful Rachel Weisz (The Mummy). It obviously takes liberties with the Bible, but you should let your inhibitions down and enjoy it for what it is. Great special effects, great story, acting could have been a little better by Reeves, but all in all a great movie. If you like movies like this you should buy it. 9.5/10, only because of the occasionally stiff acting by Reeves.

If you're a student of the blues, you'll no doubt notice that there are many a bluesman with the moniker "blind". "Blind Boy" Fuller, "Blind Willie" McTell, "Blind Lemon" Jefferson and this weeks Sunday Blues subject, "Blind Willie" Johnson. Although I have a couple of his songs, I don't know much about him. But what I do know is he has one of the best voices for the blues of all time. A kind of a gravel filled sound. But if you're an Atheist, you may not like his music very much. Very inspired by the church. Very "hallelujah" and "amen" tone to it. Which makes sense seeing as how he as a Baptist preacher. I Know His Blood Can Make Me Whole, Jesus Make Up My Dying Bed, God Don`t Never Change and The Soul Of A Man. Well, I left one, but it seems the screeners didn't like it so they trashed it. Well, since I have full control here I thought I would leave my comment for all of you to read.

I find it disgraceful the way you're standing on your son's grave holding his corpse in the air for all to see just so you can get your face on tv. When's your book coming out?

Now, I ask you, what's wrong with that? I simply used my freedom of speech to give my point of view and to ask a question. It also seems that Anthony was censored as well. One question, when do you think here book will be out? Because you know she's going to write one.

Also, pay attention to the part about the "fake" e-mail to "Tom" Koppel. She really needs to stop consorting with Michael Moore. Her hatred is overshining her "concern".

KEITH OLBERMANN IS SAD
Does anyone here watch his show on MSNBC? I didn't think so. Anyway, I was flipping through the channels and happen to run across his show by accident and he proved to me he's a dope. I didn't catch all that he said, but I did catch him saying that Rush Limbaugh's career was over and that he should hang it up. What? When did this happen? While Olbermann's three viewers may agree with him, I think Rush's millions of listeners may not. First it was his jealousy over O'Reilly, and now Rush. Poor Olbermann. He was crap on ESPN and he's even worse on MSNBC. He needs to take his .3 rating and quietly sulk in the corner.

PROBLEMS
I've been having some problems with my computer for the last couple of days and I think I may be my hard drive going out. Maybe someone here could help me out. The computer will randomly freeze for a few seconds then start right back up then freeze again and on and on. Some of files names have turned blue.My CD-ROM will freeze up and not work at all which will, for some reason, results in my browser not opening. IE or Firefox. So if I stop posting all of a sudden it's because something has went down and I don't know when, or if, I'll be able to fix it.

SAD DAYThis is sad. If you happened to be watching FNC yesterday you may have seen one of their reporters in a home that was being cleared out. The family had been there for 32 years and they kept showing a picture they had hanging on the wall of one of their children had been killed by a Palestinian terrorist. They kept asking why the soldiers were doing this but not doing anything to stop the terror killings. Ariel Sharon, by doing this, has signed his own pink slip.

ADOPTION II
If you'll remember back in July I posted about an adoption effort in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Here's an update. The children that the July post talked about, most were able to be adopted by loving homes. But there is another group of orphans coming from Russia in November who will be needing a loving home as well. Below are some pictures of the children that are in need of a home. Click on a picture to view full size.


Sadly, most of the people that adopt are wanting a baby and in doing so millions of older children get ignored. If you or someone you know have been thinking about adopting a child, head over to The National Heritage Foundation to see how you can help.

Army Spc. Casey Sheehan
24 years old from Vacaville, California
1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division
April 4, 2004

Hundreds of mourners came out to remember Army Spc. Casey Austin Sheehan as an honor student who was quick to help out others.

"His life has brought new meaning to our community,"” said Vacaville Mayor Len Augustine, who declared April 13, 2004 as Casey Austin Sheehan Memorial Day. "“He made the ultimate sacrifice."

Nearly 1,000 people filled St. Mary'’s Church to bid farewell to Sheehan, who had been in Iraq only two weeks before he was killed in a battle with Shiite militia outside Baghdad.

"“Casey was such a special man - the perfect son,"” said longtime family friend Estella Tucker.

Sheehan was a member of the 82nd Field Artillery of the 1st Cavalry Division out of Fort Hood, Texas.

Army Maj. Gen. Rodney Kobayashi was on hand to present Sheehan's family with the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and thank them for a fine soldier, "“a soldier's soldier."”

In addition to his parents, Patrick and Cindy, Sheehan is survived by his brother, Andy, and sisters, Carly and Jane.

These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

I have a good recipe for you all. If you've never had taco soup you're missing out.

1-lbs. Ground beef
1 Chopped Onion - Small or Medium
1 Chopped Green Bell Pepper

Brown meat, onion and pepper, drain.
Place into your soup pot.

Add:
1 Can Corn
1 Can Kidney Beans
1 Can Pinto Bean
1 Can Tomatoes (use fresh if desired)
1 Can Rotel Tomatoes and Green Chilies
1 Pk. Taco Seasoning
1 Pk. Ranch Dressing (optional)

Cook 30 Minutes And Enjoy. Great With Cornbread.

Not all that spicy. 1-10, maybe 2. If you get a good can of Rotel it can make it a 3. But if you have a history of hearburn, you may want your Pepcid with you and do I even need to mention the beans? Want it hotter, add some jalapenos or chipotles.

Then read the part below.The picture shows that this soldier has been through Survival School and learned his lessons well. He's giving the sign of "coercion" with his left hand. These hand signs are taught in survival school to be used by POW's as a method of posing messages back to our intelligence services who may view the photo or video. This guy was obviously being coerced into shaking hands with Hillary Clinton. It's ironic how little she knew that he would so inform us about the photo---perhaps because she's never understood our military to begin with.

That's beautiful. Does she really think our soldiers are dumb enough to fall for her wrapping herself in a paper flag to try and win support for '08? Obviously, she does.

Is it any wonder even her family is pulling away from her? While I do feel for her and her families loss, she's fast becoming a media hound and is loving every minute of it. AGAIN, THE NY TIMES DOESN'T UNDERSTAND
We all know the New York Times hates Republicans and this country in general, but they really show their ignorance with this story headlined "Where Are The War Heroes?". This reporter, Damien Cave, wonders why there hasn't been an instantly recognizable war hero today. He then goes on to blame everyone under the sun, except one source.

"that might be because the military, the White House and the culture at large have not publicized their actions with the zeal that was lavished on the heroes of World War I and World War II."

What about the media? Are they not also at fault? I mean they're the ones that are supposed to be bringing us this story. They're the ones who are supposed to be covering what the evil Bush administration won't. Why don't they cover the good things coming from Iraq and help make an instantly recognizable war hero today? But I have to say that this piece does report some heroic stories. It starts off with three short tales of some of the heroes in Iraq.

"One soldier fought off scores of elite Iraqi troops in a fierce defense of his outnumbered Army unit, saving dozens of American lives before he himself was killed. Another soldier helped lead a team that killed 27 insurgents who had ambushed her convoy. And then there was the marine who, after being shot, managed to tuck an enemy grenade under his stomach to save the men in his unit, dying in the process"

See, what people like those at the NY Times fail to understand are two things.

1) When the White House does publicize the actions of a singular soldier they get bashed, by the likes of the Times, for exploiting that soldier for their own gain. Remember Jessica Lynch?

2) The other thing they fail to understand is that EVERY soldier in the military is a hero. We don't need to single out just one man or just one woman and latch onto them as a symbol, rather we need embrace every one of them and let them know we think of them as heroes.

But asking the NY Times and there ilk to understand that is like asking a Christian to denounce God. Pointless.

Well, seeing as how I'm the lone Indian voice around here I guess I should give my two cents worth on this whole NCAA/Indian mascots thing. I agree with the NCAA. Get rid of them. It's not so much the names, while I don't like team names like Cleveland Indians or Atlanta Braves, except one and I'll get to that later, it's more the images they use. White people dressed as Indian Chiefs hooping and hollering around doing fake dances on a basketball court or football field. That pisses me off. Those dances weren't just dances done to celebrate, they were also part of their prayer rituals.


Do you see a difference? Because I don't.

Now, the one team that pisses me off more than anything. The Washington Redskins. Redskin is a racist word. What would happen if someone were to come along and start up a team called the Colorado Niggers or Portland Gooks? Would those names be played off like they were nothing? Hell no. There would be massive protests and outrage. As rightly there should be. But somehow Redskin is an okay word.

And it's my fellow Conservatives who are in support of this garbage. That's what really hurts. Being compared to Nazis is bad, but painting your face up in faux warpaint, doing a tomahawk chop while chanting is perfectly fine. Listening to talkradio this morining, Glenn Beck and Laura Ingraham, and both used this argument to justify the mascots. "Well, there have been some tribes that come out in support of the use of 'Native American' mascots". So because a few have come out in support makes it okay? I bet I could find a few people in support of a white man coming out in black face chucking a spear going "Ooba-Gooba". That don't make it right. This isn't political correctness, this is common sense.

41 years old from Trujillo, Puerto Rico

A native of Trujillo, Puerto Rico, Vaillant met his wife, Michaela, while salsa dancing when he was stationed in Germany. His wife, his 12-year-old daughter, Sarah, and his stepson, Andy, 22, live in Vine Grove.

“He was a good husband, a good father, a good friend and a good brother in the Lord,” said Radcliff resident Salomon Collazo, a member of Vaillant’s church.

Michaela Vaillant said her husband was very active in church, leading a Spanish-speaking congregation at the Church of God in Radcliff.

“He liked to be able to minister to people,” Michaela Vaillant said. “I know he was the preacher in his unit.”

The couple was married in 1996, with ceremonies in Germany and New York, where some of Gary Vaillant’s family lives. He was then deployed to Bosnia before being stationed at Fort Knox, where he worked from 1997 until he left for Korea in January, his wife said. Vaillant had been in the Army for 16 years, also serving in Operation Desert Storm in the early 1990s.

Members of his congregation at the church said Vaillant was an inspiration.

“He was always going around helping somebody,” said Michael Brown, a friend. “He was very spiritual. This man would take the shirt off his back for anybody.”
These brave men and women have given their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

Why are people, the Left, in such a hurry for Iraq to stand on their own two feet? I keep hearing that we need to hurry and get their army setup as a cohesive unit without U.S. military helping. One question. How long did it take for the U.S. army to get it together? I'm not really sure, but I think it was longer than three years. We keep hearing that the Iraqi government needs to hurry and get their constitution set. Did you know it took four years to get ours ratified, but Iraq should be able to do it in only a few months. Sounds reasonable. We keep hearing that we need to pull the troops out. Our troops remained in Germany until 1955 after they surrendered. 10 years. We've been in Iraq for, what, two years since Bush declared an end to major combat. But let's say three years starting when we first went in. It took Germany ten years to get back on their feet, but Iraq should be able to in only three. Again, sounds reasonable. One last thing. In the waning days of WWII, the Nazis, knowing they were being beaten, got more violent with their attacks on Allied troops. Kind of like the terrorists bombers in Iraq are doing now. They know they can't beat our military, so they're now fighting a P.R. war. Kill as many innocent Iraqis as possible and maybe the soft-brained Left in America will demand the troops be pulled out. Looks like it's working too.

iRipoffI have a question for those of you with iPods. How can you justify the way you get ripped off on one of these things? First there's the $200-$400 price for the player itself, then the $99 battery replacement. What the hell. As if Apple isn't making enough money on the silly thing they have to charge you $99 for the privilege of them giving you a new battery and loosing all your stored music in the process. I was going to get one a couple of years ago, but then I started to look at reviews and found out it would be a waste of time.

Well, here we are again. Never thought I would go back to Blogger. But I've heard they fixed the problems that caused me to leave in the fist place. I would go over to typepad, but when you're on a budget, $5/month is a lot. Maybe one day. I may put up a Google Ad and you all could help me pay for it, who knows. But hopefully Blogger will work out this time. I did miss the freedom while at ModBlog. I also missed the spellcheck. I also hope I don't loose anyone because they don't feel like following me back. Novak Storms Out
CNN has suspended Robert Novak. It seems that during a debate with James "The Ragin' Cajun" Carville things got a little out of hand.

"Carville and Novak were both trying to speak while they were handicapping the GOP candidacy of Katherine Harris. Novak said the opposition of the Republican establishment in Florida might not be fatal for her. "Let me just finish, James, please," Novak continued. "I know you hate to hear me, but you have to." Carville, addressing the camera, said: "He's got to show these right wingers that he's got a backbone, you know. It's why the Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching you. Show 'em that you're tough." "Well, I think that's bullshit and I hate that," Novak replied. "Just let it go." As moderator Henry stepped in to ask Carville a question, Novak walked off the set"

While I think James Carville is a jackass, he's right. Carville has no backbone. He's not a Republican. He's a Liberal wrapped in red. But I do applaud him for walking out, however, in doing so I would have punched that bald head of his in the process. Show of hands all that would love to see Caville get smacked upside the head.
