Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Hawaiian hospital on Wednesday with chest pains and was said to be in "serious condition". Here's some of the vile things I've seen on Twitter about this:
I hope Rush Limbaugh dies. I really do and I don't feel even the slightest bit bad for saying it.
Dear 2009: you have approximately 23.5 hours left to not suck, so sack up and LET RUSH LIMBAUGH DIE.
No one wants Rush Limbaugh to die. But they do want his doctors to fail.
Rush Limbaugh recovering in a Hawaii hospital. From the heavens a voice is heard to say... "Shit! I missed!"
That's just a small sample.

Sending GITMO detainees to Yemen, a country that's looking like the the next front in this war. Yeah, that's smart. I honestly don't think Obama has any idea what to do. Hell, he never did. The man is an epic failure, and we still three more damn years of him.

Why is Kevin Jennings still in the Obama administration? A quick word of warning, there is very explicit sexual wording in that link that describes oral sex between first grade boys.

Yeah, I'm a day early but I went ahead and put up my normal template.
No, this post isn't about Conservatives taking back the country next year. Sorry. It's about the redman taking his land back from you White devils ;p Now if only the Lakota Sioux could get the land back that Mt. Rushmore was build on.

The Obamas didn't go to church on Christmas. Stop the presses. No, actually, who cares? Since when did A)being a Christian and B)going to church become a requirement for being president? We have far more serious issues to concern ourselves with than whether or not our president goes to church. Of course I'm speaking as an Agnostic, so take that for what it's worth. Anyway, Democrats trying to shove as much crap down our throats before the 2010 election is something to concern ourselves with. A radical Islamic terrorist being able to sneak a chemical bomb onto a plane and try to use it to blow up said plane only to have the detonator malfunction. That is something to worry about. I know the majority of my readers lean more towards the Christian belief, and may not agree with me in some of my statements here, but I just don't care whether or not our president and his family attend church on Christmas. I'm sorry.

Friday, January 1, I will be going back to my normal layout but with a new header. It may just be my best one, if I do say so myself. I though about changing to a whole new layout, but I like the one I use.
ELO are a very under appreciated band. Pop in it's purest form. Telephone Line is a great song that you'll find yourself swaying to.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Mine was pretty good. It was only my mom and myself this year. One of my brothers and his family went up to Arkansas to be with their daughter and her family and no one else was able to make it down because of the snow storm that went through on Thursday. The brother that was to bring the turkey down was one of those who couldn't make it down, so we had no turkey but we had everything else. And I made a killing when it came to gifts. I didn't get my "Firefly" DVD boxset, :(, but I did get a giftcard so I ordered it, :) If you've never seen "Firefly" do so. One of the best shows ever made. I got two of the Dark Tower comics compilations. I need to order "The Long Road Home". I also got Stephen King's three latest books and "Serenity", which is the "Firefly" movie. And in the tradition of bizarre stocking gifts I got some Neosporin spray, a pocket word search book, a back scratcher and a staple remover. Even though there was no DVD boxset or turkey, and I couldn't turn on the Christmas lights because of the snow, it was a pretty good day. Now on to 2010.
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. Stay safe and be sure to eat a lot.

Guys, never buy your girlfriend/wife a kitchen appliance for Christmas. Even if she asks for one. Buy it for her, but not as her Christmas gift. Bad move.
With only two days until Christmas, I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and to remind you to keep our men and women that are not able to be with their friends and families this time of year in your thoughts a prayers. They do so much without ever asking for anything in return.

Had a dental appointment today for my 6 month checkup. Had the exam, a cleaning and x-rays. Came to $187. Maybe that free government health care isn't looking so bad after all.
I forgot to post this yesterday. Yes, AC/DC did a Christmas song. And it's pretty good. A little dirty, but not bad.

The site that I've been using to host the Wednesday Hero posts, Ripway, has, for some unknown reason, suspended my account so I'm on the lookout for a new free file hosting site. If you know of one that's easy to use, doesn't use Flash and displays text files in the browser rather than making you download them could you let me know. Actually, the easy to use and doesn't use Flash aren't all that important but displaying files rather than download them is. When you have to download files from these sites it's just a big mess having to click this link then this link then another and so on. Plus the text doesn't display right for some reason. Things get jumbled and screwed up.

It's only one small part of this article, but President Obama told Rep. DeFazio "Don’t think we’re not keeping score, brother". Have you ever heard a president use this kind of rhetoric before, except maybe Nixon? Keeping score almost sounds like a threat of some sort.

I try to keep the Wednesday Hero posts as apolitical as possible, though I have done one politically motivated post in the past. Remember Casey Sheehan? But yesterday's post, while it did have a little politics in it, meant a great deal to a lot of people. And, as it turns out, it was the biggest Wednesday Hero post ever. Mudville Gazette has a list of all the milblogs that participated and sites that covered the story. Even Michelle Malkin covered it. I love Michelle Malkin, and now she knows who I am. Well, okay, she doesn't actually know who I am but let me fantasize. My numbers even went up. My average pages views is around 17 a day, yesterday that shot up to 41. I've made it. I said let me fantasize. There is, however, an error with yesterdays post. I indicated that it was written by Greta when it was in fact written by Laughing Wolf over at Blackfive.

This week's Wednesday Hero is both an individual, and a group. The group we honor are the milblogs: the military blogs, spouse blogs, and support blogs who bring you the news and information you can get nowhere else. The information and news that matter to you. The individual we honor today is C. J. Grisham.
Army Master Sgt. C. J. Grisham has always led from the front, from combat that earned him the Bronze Star with V device, to doing right by the men he led. His honesty won him readership and respect, from the White House on down. Yet, when he stood up for his children in school, his command did not stand by him. You can read more at Military Times to get the full story.

Milblogs have been a vital link in getting accurate news and information about the military, and military operations, to you. Today, many milblogs are gone and others are under attack from within and without. Today, you have the chance to imagine a world without milblogs, and to do something about it. Make your voice heard by writing your congressional representatives and others, and by making donations as you see fit.
The battle for freedom of speech and the marketplace of ideas is fought on many fronts and in many ways. Without your help, the battle may well be lost.

It was supposed to be 10 but I found two more.
1. I'm afraid of the dark
2. I can't swim
3. I'm much stranger than people give me credit for
4. I use to be more Liberal in my youth
5. I build my computer
6. I don't like people
7. I believe in aliens and ghosts
8. I find women in their underwear hotter than when naked
9. In my offline life I curse like a drunk sailor
10. The last movie I saw in a theater was "In The Army Now"
11. I've never been to a concert
12. My current favorite song is Get Yourself High (Felix Da Housecat's Chemical Meltdown Mix) by The Chemical Brothers

I dare you not to laugh at Porky Pig singing "Blue Christmas".
We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny, never surpassed in the dark and lamentable catalogue of human crime. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: victory. Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival. Let that be realized; no survival for the British Empire, no survival for all that the British Empire has stood for, no survival for the urge and impulse of the ages, that mankind will move forward towards its goal.Replace "the British Empire" with "America" and this should have been what Obama said in his recent speech at West Point.

Hanukkah is now upon us and Christmas is less than two weeks away and it got me to thinking. What's the best and worst gift you've ever gotten for the holiday? I can't say what the best gift is, because I don't remember all of them, one does stand out. All I wanted was a game for my Nintendo called "Back To The Future II & III". This was in 1990, so I was 11-years-old. I opened my gift to find the game I wanted and I remember running around the house yelling "I believe in Santa, I believe in Santa." So I went to go play it and I hated it. The game was no fun. I also can't say what my worst gift was because I don't think I've ever gotten one. Except may clothes. No one likes clothes. But one of the oddest ones that stands out was last year my mom got me a S'mores/hot cocoa kit. Had the graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, two packs of cocoa and two snowmen mugs. But I think this was more of a gag gift. At least I hope it was.
Anyone here remember Mr. Wizard? I was watching a show on Science Channel yesterday called "Sci-Fi Science" with Dr. Michio Kaku and it got me to thinking about Mr. Wizard. Or more precisely "Mr. Wizard's World". I loved that show. I use to watch it every day. It still remember trying my first "scientific experiment" that I learned from him. Putting a piece of tape on a balloon and being able to push a needle into it without it popping. I just thought that was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Apparently, Science Channel airs reruns of the show. I need to look it up and see.
Is this really what our Congress is wasting their time on? Collage football? Is there nothing more important they should be doing?
"With all due respect, I really think we have more important things to spend our time on," Barrow said before the vote...Thank you, Rep. Barrow. Is it any wonder their approval rating is around 25%?

No, not the elected ones or the ones brought in as their Czars. But rather party guests. How did a convicted felon get an invitation to the White House state dinner? While the so called "journalists" focus on the two media whores that were at the party they ignore Bob Creamer.
Glenn Beck proves that one man can make a difference. Just imagine how much of the crap our government is doing would still be in the dark if it weren't for Beck.

Mr. Vice President, Mr. Speaker, members of the Senate and the House of Representatives: Yesterday, December 7th, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that nation, and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in the American island of Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to our Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. And while this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or of armed attack.
USS California
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese Government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. I regret to tell you that very many American lives have been lost. In addition American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.
Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya.
Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.
Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam.
Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.
Last night the Japanese attacked Wake Island.
And this morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.
USS Nevada
Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday and today speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.
But always will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
USS Shaw
I believe that I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make it very certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces—with the unbounding determination of our people—we will gain the inevitable triumph—so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December 7th, 1941, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.

Recently, a new set of Rules Of Engagement came down to our troops in Afghanistan. And they're not too happy about them. The Times only has a few listed, but these thing seem dumb if not down right dangerous. They have to warn people prior to searches, they can't search at night or do surprise searches, they can't engage the enemy unless they're getting ready to attack and they can't engage a terrorist unless they spot them actually setting an IED. So, essentially, they have to tell the Taliban when and where they're going so they hide or run and hope to God that they have a faster trigger finger. SSG_E has been following this, so if you happen to have a website that lists all the new ROE could you pass it along?
Here's an article on the first group of Marines that will be deployed to Afghanistan under President Obama's planned surge.
Camp Lejeune’s 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, “will deploy in the near future,” said Col. David Fuquea, chief of staff for Lejeune’s 2nd Marine Division. He declined to say when the unit will arrive in theater, but Marine officials at the Pentagon said the first unit will deploy before Dec. 25.

President Obama is set to finally announce his decision on Afghanistan in a speech tonight from West Point Military Academy. A decision that's been three months in the making. While Afghanistan was falling apart and 176 American troops died, our president was deliberating on what to do by playing some golf, calling out Fox News, stumping for the Olympics and focusing on Health Care.
If you've never heard Trans-Siberian Orchestra then you're missing out. They're unlike any band I've ever heard. The best way I can describe them is a mixture of Beethoven, Metallica & Pink Floyd. If you've ever seen one of those videos of homes with Christmas lights set to music then Wizards In Winter is probably the song you heard. This has become my favorite Christmas song of all time.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to get into the Christmas mood. I started decorating a few weeks ago. Little things hanging here and there. But Friday is when I'll go all out and fundamentally transform my home. Then Saturday I'm going to be putting my tree up. Temps are cooling down, the sun is setting earlier, the lights are going up. This is my time of year.
And here's something strange I just noticed. If you view this blog's homepage you see the entire sidebar but if you view just an individual post all you see is the Album Of The Month. Anyone know why it's doing that?

I finally got to watch Star Trek last night. A movie that I had been waiting to see for almost two years. And I'll say it right off the bat, J.J. Abrams nailed it. He got it right. It was the best ST movie since ST IV: Save The Whales, I mean The Voyage Home. It looked so real. Like that's how the future could actually look. The massive scale of everything. Nero's ship, the Enterprise engine room, Big Red on Delta Vega. Even the bridge of the Enterprise with it's complete opposite look from the original. The first scene on the bridge, and I didn't even notice it. It looked like it just was supposed to look like that. Like that's how it always looked. The new look of the Phasers and transport effect. I don't even know how to describe how cool they were. The casting was superb. Eric Bana's Nero was the 2nd best Trek villain of all time. Khan being first, obviously. Chris Pine was the best choice to play Kirk. Brash, cocky, arrogant, strong, gung-ho. Zachary Quinto's Spock worked so well. Though, he should have lowered his voice a little. It was a little too high for me. But Karl Urban was the best. He was "Bones". There were a few times when I swore it was Deforest Kelly it was so good. Especially the first scene of him and Kirk on the shuttle.
Now for the elephant in the room. WARNING: Spoiler Alert. Highlight To Read. They didn't fix the time line. WTF? After everything that happened in this movie it's like the events of TOS, TNG, DS9 & VOY never happened. Can we really call this movie part of ST canon? Vulcan is destroyed making the Vulcan's an endangered species, Kirk's dad dies and Cpt. Pine is fine. Although what happened to him could have happened at a later date. Maybe they'll fix it in the sequel, I don't know. Other things I have a gripe about. Enterprise had already established that cars didn't exist in the future, yet Kirk's dad had one and Kirk himself had a motorcycle. Spock and Uhura had, what appeared to be, a sexual relationship? I can't swallow that one. Sorry. Spoiler Alert Over. And there weren't enough extras on the 2 disk DVD set. Damn Blu-Ray got all of them. But all in all, it was a great movie. If you've never watched Trek, you can come into this movie and enjoy it. It's a great action movie that just happens to be set in the Trek universe. The only way it could have been better was if I had an HDTV and surround sound.

They tell us Sir, that we are weak -- unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs, and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak, if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature has placed in our power.

I'm not a fan of Obama, in case you couldn't tell. Don't like the man. But I do have to thank him. Thank him for giving me back my passion for politics. I remember writing these three posts

And I was sick of politics at that time. Sick of the games and the crap. Just everything. I'd become apathetic. Just gave up. Wrong move. Because in doing so I didn't notice what our government was doing to us. And here we are, three years later and I'm a different person. A better person. So I want to thank President Obama for giving me my love of politics back. It's helped me to take my head out of the sand and open my eyes. The way I should have been all along. I did get two things wrong though. Rudy didn't have to run as a third party candidate and Republicans weren't moving more to the Right, they were moving more to the Left.

It instructed Clair to "include IP addresses, times, and any other identifying information," including e-mail addresses, physical addresses, registered accounts, and Indymedia readers' Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and so on.

Read this and see if you can help this little kid out.
I can remember as a child my dad talking, somewhat, about his service during Korea. I never really listened. I was a kid. What did I know? I do remember hearing once that he actually served with Elvis, but I don't think that was true. He died in '96 and now I have no idea what he did while in the Army. I don't even know whether he went to Korea or not. I think he may have been a cook, but I don't know. The moral is, if you know someone who has served, or is serving, ask them about it because one day it'll be too late. To all the Men and Woman who have been, and are, in the service, thank you for your sacrifices.

The more stories that come out about this Ft. Hood shooter 1) the more it looks like an act of terror and 2) it looks like some had concerns about him before hand. So, it begs the question. Why was he allowed to stay in the Army? I'm not sure how the chain of command goes in something like this, but if they knew he was communicating with members of al-Qaeda why wasn't something done? Obama says we shouldn't jump to conclusions, *clears throat* Sgt. Gates, but we have to ask. Was it because he's Muslim and some didn't want to be viewed as racist by saying something? I honestly don't know, but, like I said, it has to be asked.
"Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care? All it will do is confuse and dispirit" Democratic voters "and it will encourage the extremists."So now we're extremists. I guess I'll just have to add that to the list of names our government has called us.

What to do, what to do? I feel like a lost soul swimming through the murky pool of limbo. I have no home with which to go to. When I first registered I did so as Independent. Soon after I re-registered as a Republican. But they've gone too far off the rails for me in recent years so I have since left them as well. I looked into maybe being a part of the Constitution Party, but there are just some things in their platform I don't agree with. I'm not a Green, I'm not a Reformist and I'm sure as hell not a Democrat. I honestly do feel kind of lost. So, for the time being, I guess I'm an Independent again. Which, truth be told, suits me just fine. I'm kind of tired of party dogma telling me what I'm supposed to support and what I'm not. I abhor abortion, but I support it in cases of rape. I support limited gun control. I do not support same-sex marriage. I want every person who comes into this country to have a comprehensive background check. I don't think we need to be governed by the writings of the Bible. I don't think a state's membership in the Union is voluntary. I don't think the government should be taking power away from us. I think our founders had some pretty good ideas of what this country was to be, and that they wrote those ideas down on some very important documents.
When once a republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.

I posted this back in September. Some good news, and some bad news. The good news: the fine for not having health care has dropped from $25,000 to only $15,000. The bad news: the jail sentence has went up from 1 year to possibly 5. Like Cass Sunstein says, we have to be "nudged" towards things.

I posted this a few days ago talking about the eerie similarities between the original "V" and the Obama administration. Then ABC's updated version premiered on Tuesday and I was floored. 1) It was really good and 2) They took aim at Obama. They actually used his buzzwords "Hope" and "Change". And Scott Wolf's character, reporter Chad Decker, is Keith Olbermann. It wasn't until halfway through the episode that it hit me what they were doing. I honestly couldn't believe it. At the end of the episode, the FBI agent is talking to the Priest and says something to the effect of "They have the biggest weapon ever. Devotion." Only 3 more episodes then they go on hiatus until after the Olympics.

The GOP are trying to jump on the Tea Party/912 bandwagon and many Conservatives aren't having it.
Says Everett Wilkinson, a tea party organizer in Florida: "We are not going to allow our [movement] to be stolen by the GOP or by any political party."Not sure what the GOP is thinking. Whether, like the article says, they think they can hitch on and ride it to defeat Obama or they think they can win people back to the party. Not sure. Things have changed. Many of us are no longer party loyalists. It's not all about having our party in power. It's about who is doing what's right for the country and I don't think the Republican party has figured that out yet. Or the Democrats for that matter. The party structure in the country, as we've known it, is on it's last days. I think 2010 will still largely be about Republican vs Democrat with a couple of surprises, but by 2012 I think things will change. People can make fun of the movement that's happening, put it down, denigrate it or whatever but 2012 will be the payoff when both parties are spanked for their arrogance and ignorance.
There's a guitar riff from Gilmour that comes a few seconds before Waters comes in with the opening line "Careful with that axe, Eugene" that I could listen to all day. It just has this amazing, haunting sound. You can also hear it in the background throughout the song. Don't think it's in this live version though.

Been watching the original "V" on Syfy and I couldn't help but notice some of the similarities between it and the Obama administration. They came with promises of hope and a better life but some saw a hidden ulterior motive. They end up bringing in someone to help spread their propaganda (NEA & MSNBC), they go after the media when they try to expose the truth (FNC), in the show it's our leaders who give control of the media to them where as here they've just rolled over and surrendered themselves, we start to give more and more control to them, people start to be afraid to criticize them and they take advantage of a "crisis". I wonder if ABC will change these things in their updated version?

But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.

It's amazing how big Glenn Beck has become. His radio show was a success, but THAT well known. CNN brought him onto Headline News, but they screwed that show up by not utilizing him to his full potential. Then he goes to FNC and seemingly overnight becomes one of the most influential personalities in media. In just a few shorts months he's exposed Obama's Czars & advisers and helped bring ACORN to light. And those are just two examples. Beck is exactly what many Americans were looking for. Someone who doesn't sugarcoat the news and isn't afraid of the powers that be. Beck has become the kick in the ass others in the media have been needing for a long time.
"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer."

I had this post worked out in my head, knew how I wanted to start and what I wanted to say. But when I finally sat down to type it all out it all went away. That happens to me a lot. So I'll just have to start in the middle. We have a government that's actively targeting a media outlet trying damage them however they can. Even going so far as to send their attack dogs, Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod, out this weekend to inform other media outlets to ignore FNC and to not treat them like "real" news. I find this all just a little disturbing. And, like the good little lapdogs they are, the rest of the media just eat it up. They cheer lead for the policies of this administration and ignore stories, until they've been forced to finally mention them. ACORN and Van Jones for example. Another example is Anita Dunn. Has anyone seen other news outlets talk about her comments on Mao Tse Tung? And chances are you never will. Media outlets in this country have become nothing more than mouthpieces for the Obama administration, which is why I have made the conscious decision to block CNN, HLN & MSNBC from my television. I can no longer, in good conscience, watch them knowing that they have no problem being manipulated like puppets.

Here's a tip for those of you who use these things. Skip the "Soft White" or whatever other kind they sale and pick up "Daylight". They are the best bulbs I've ever seen. The light they put out is crystal clear and makes everything look much better than the dingy yellowish light that other bulbs put out.
Now, imagine someone working inside the White House were to come out and say that one of their two favorite philosophers, someone that they turn to, was Adolf Hitler. What do you think would happen? Would the American people be a little upset and demand that that person should be let go? I think they would. And they would be right in doing so. So, I have to ask if White House communications director Anita Dunn will have that job much longer after this video has surfaced of her saying just those things about Mao Tse Tung. The same Mao Tse Tung who was responsible for the deaths of up to 70,000,000 people. Look at that number again. I'll even spell it out for you. Seventy Million.
One of the comments on that site I linked to is "Shocking video". But is it really? I mean, it seems that with each new day something new comes out about the people President Obama has placed in his administration. So I ask again. Is it really that shocking? Because it's not to me. This seems to be par for the course with him. He claims he's not a Socialist or Communist, yet he surrounds himself with people who seem to be. People who praise Mao or Chavez or Castro or Che.

Woo-Hoo. I got it done. Didn't take as long as I thought it would, but I figured out the HTML and I got the design done and ready to put up on Nov. 27. Still looks as good as it did last year.
A woman being driven around in a rented limousine pulled up at a coat store and announced she'd won the lottery and would pay for everyone's purchases, police said, but she ended up causing a riot when customers realized it was a hoax.
What the hell is wrong with people? Are we so greedy and stupid that the second we hear that "free" money is available we turn into slobbering animals? I'd like to think that most of us, if something like this were to happen, would stop and think about it before we go crazy.

Ben Kopp has been a fighter since the day he was born. When he was born his mother was given morphine to stop her labor so the doctors could deliver him via a cesarean section. But it caused his heart rate to slow and when he was born he wasn't breathing. But he recovered to the amazement of everyone. "Ben has always been up for a challenge," said his mother, Jill Stephenson. "He came into the world a fighter."
On July 10, 2009, Cpl. Benjamin Kopp was wounded in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. He was hit in the popliteal artery in his knee and the loss of blood caused him to go into cardiac arrest on the operating table at a battalion surgical center. As a result of his injuries, Cpl. Kopp developed swelling in his brain and was put into an induced coma to try and save his life. But he died on July 18.
But his service didn't end with his passing. Upon his death, by his own desire, his organs were donated to people in need, saving their lives.
"Please continue to say prayers for all of the men and women who so proudly serve our country," Stephenson wrote online. "Ben had a deep love of country and has just left a legacy of heroism for all of us to cherish. Be as proud of him as I was as his mother."

Just watch those numbers go. It'd be almost entertaining it it wasn't so damn scary.

Watching Glenn Beck and he had author Vince Flynn on. They were talking about President Obama's unearned Nobel Peace Prize and Flynn made a suggestion that, really, everyone should be able to get behind. Since Obama's going to accept it, he should accept in the name of the men and women of the United States military and donate the prize money to the Gold Star Mothers. I don't agree with the committee giving him this award, but I could get behind that plan. Do something positive with it.

It's that time once again. Project Valour-IT. It's always good to raise money to help our troops. Head over to see how you can help out. Now, Greta over at Hooah Wife asked her contributors, which includes myself, to sign up for the Army team being that her site is technically an Army site, so we are. But here are her exact words in her email.
To be a team and collect donations, write posts about it and talk smack about other armed forces during the competitionI can do those, except talk smack. See, I have a penchant for the Marines. So I can't smack talk them. But those sailor boys in the Navy, that's a whole other story :p No, seriously, head over and find out more.
US 3-2 HON. US is going to the 2010 World Cup. WOOOOOOOOO!!!! I just hope we make it past the first round this time.
My fellow citizens, this nation is poised for greatness. The time has come to proceed toward a great new challenge - a second American Revolution of hope and opportunity; a revolution carrying us to new heights of progress by pushing back frontiers of knowledge and space; a revolution of spirit that taps the soul of America, enabling us to summon greater strength than we've ever known; and a revolution that carries beyond our shores the golden promise of human freedom in a world of peace. - Ronald Wilson Reagan
It might be time for a third American Revolution because the government is destroying our country. We need someone to stand up and lead this country back to what we know it can be. But so long as there are stupid people electing stupid politicians into office, there will be no change. We can't fix the country unless we fix ourselves.

Are you fucking serious? What the hell has he done to deserve this? Actually, it's kind of fitting. They gave one to Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat, why not Obama.
There will be an outcry from those on the right who will say that Obama's nomination, made two weeks into his Presidency, is impossible to justify but I think such an outcry will sound like right-wing whining. The better response is simply to allow those on the left to explain what he did in his first two weeks as President that merited such recognition.People Obama beat out. But he deserved it for...uh...because he...uh.....

News of Egan’s death came to Pennsauken shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday, Krista Egan, Sgt. Egan's sister-in-law, said. His mother, Irene, was on the telephone when an Army sergeant walked up to the door. "My mother-in-law was talking on the telephone to Mike’s wife, Maria, when he came. Maria had just got the news. The Army sergeant told my mother-in-law it was his first time notifying a family."
Sgt. Egan served in the Marine Corps for eight years, was a civilian for a year, then joined the National Guard. As a Marine, he had been previously served in Afghanistan.
"He was well-liked by everyone," Patrick Egan, Sgt. Egan's brother, said.
Sgt. Michael Egan was killed when an IED detonated near his vehicle while on patrol in Ramadi. Also killed in the attack were Spc. William Evans, 22, of Hallstead, PA, Spc. William Fernandez, 37, of Reading, PA and Lt. Mark Dooley of the Vermont National Guard.

On July of next year, Robert Rodriguez's prequel to one of the most bad ass movies off all time, Predator, will hit theaters. It will be called Predators and here are some of the details on the characters.
Cuchillo — A Mexican enforcer from a drug cartel with uzis strapped to his back. [character will be played by Danny Trejo]
Nikolai — A frightening bear of a Russian armed with a four-barreled gas-powered rotary machine gun.
Isabelle — A French "tough as nails woman armed with a sniper rifle".
Stans — A prisoner from San Quentin with a shaved head and a scorpion tattoo on his neck and armed with a prison made knife.
Mombasa — An African member of the Sierra Leon death squad.
Hanzo — A bad-ass Japanese Yakuza enforcer.
Edwin — A small unassuming man…formerly one of the FBI’s most-wanted.
You got the Mexican drug runner the French sniper the African, Russian, Japanese and two Americans. Is it me, or does this movie sound like a bad stereotypical United Nations?

The IOC is racist. How many tax dollars were wasted on the Obama's trips to and back from Denmark?
Saturn's are no more? Quick, they need a multi-billion dollar bailout if they're going to survive. They need...what? Part of GM? Really? Huh.
So, you're walking through Wal-Mart, or some other store because Wal-Mart is an evil corporation that exploits it's workers by not giving them health care, and you see a 3-pack of CFL bulbs for around $15. You think, "Wow, that's expensive." But then you see the benefits on the package. They're good for the environment. Well, no one want's be be compared to a Holocaust denier. Then you see they last between 5-7 years. You won't have to buy more for a LONG time. Then you read that they lower your energy bill. Hey, who can't afford to save some money? Right? So you grab them feeling pretty good about yourself. In fact, you get quite a few to fill up our entire house. Think of the savings. You exchange all your old non-green filament bulbs and the new CFL bulbs are better. Much brighter and things look clearer. Awesome. Cut to 2, not 5 or 7, years later and you've already had two bulbs go out. You have to travel almost 30 miles to Home Depot because it's the only place near you that you can take those green CFL bulbs to be recycled because you can't just throw them away for the chemicals in them. You also haven't seen even a penny in savings on your energy bill. And you're wondering where the benefits are. But of course you'll go buy another one for $7 because, like I said, they do make everything brighter and clearer and you've come to like that.
Will you or your children be taking the H1N1 vaccine when it become available? I doubt I will. I haven't had a flu shot in years and I've only had the flu, maybe, twice in my life. I know the media and the government have tried to scare the crap out of us, and it's work to some extent on me, but I just don't feel all that threatened by it. Plus, you know there's going to be a shortage so I'll just save mine for someone who might need it. Also, do we really know what all the side effects may be? They tell us it's safe, but you'll have to forgive me if I have questions.
