there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers, and then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change

If you watched the RNCC last night, you saw Gov. Palin blow the roof off the Xcel Energy Center. Since being announced just last week she's breathed a new life into McCain's campaign and the race in general. And the elite media have no idea how to handle it. They're forced to criticize her daughter and her hair.

This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word "victory," except when he’s talking about his own campaign.

And she did what the job of the VP is at the convention. She ripped Obama and his Karl Marx style of politics apart. Great speech. Right up there with Fred Thompson and Rudy, who gave two of the best political speeches I've ever heard. Now it's up to McCain to seal the deal. He's going to have to tell the country why Obama's bigger government presidency will send this country into even further demise and how he plans to lift us back up to where we know we can be.

Our opponents say again and again that drilling will not solve all of America’s energy problems, as if we didn’t know that already. Starting in January, in a McCain-Palin administration, we’re going to lay more pipelines, and build more nuclear plants, and create jobs with clean coal, and move forward on solar, wind, geothermal, and other alternative sources. We need American sources of resources. We need American energy brought to you by American ingenuity and produced by American workers.

Taking It To The Next Level

No longer content to chant the passe phrase "No Blood For Oil" or "Bush = Hitler", some protesters at the RNCC were planning on taking their ignorance to new levels by kidnapping, shooting urine or chemicals at police and the use of Molotov cocktails. Luckily the police have been watching these numbnuts for a year and were able to stop them.

And leave it to the ACLU to jump in and defend these idiots.

The ACLU and the Minnesota Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild also criticized the police response to the protesters

I never knew assault on a police officer was protected by the Constitution. Go figure.

Obama Grows A Set?

It seem that Sen. Barack Obama may finally do an interview with Fox News. Now, Obama told O'Reilly to his face months ago that he would do his show but he's been ducking and dodging ever since. If he does do O'Reilly it'll be the first time he'll have to have answered actual hard questions. Gov. Palin's and her daughter have had harder questions asked about them than Obama has.

"I just can't believe it," said Nicole Cote, mother of L/Cpl. McCoughn. "It's not supposed to happen this way. Your kids aren't supposed to leave you." McCoughn joined the USMC during his Senior year of High School. "He said he needed to do this. He said if he could keep one dad from going to Iraq and he could take his place instead, then he'll feel like he's accomplished something."

Lance Cpl. Ryan T. McCaughn was killed on November 7, 2006 while conducting combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq. He leaves behind his mother, father, step-father and two brothers.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived
