This Was Brought To My Attention By Reader SGT_E
We all know Michael Yon's site. If you don't, he's a journalist that blogs from the frontlines in Iraq. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I haven't been there in some time. Anyway, SGT_E brought my attention to this sad post. It's a pretty hard read. Also, be sure to check out the Frontline Forum.

Fake Indian, Ward Churchill, is one step closer to getting his ass fired from the University of Colorado. This should have happened a long time ago. He's mentally unbalanced, a liar and a plagiarist. Why he's still there right now is beyond me. If I knew any ancient Cherokee curses I'd put one on him.

Children in Belgium are to be giving electronic I.D. cards to help reunite them with their parents should anything happen to them. Great idea, but I'd take it step further. You know those I.D. chips people put in their pets should they get lost? Make them for kids. That way they can't lose them like they could a card. And maybe I've seen too many James Bond movies, but make them trackable. Should a child be kidnapped or run away, the police could simply track them down. Also great for when they grow up and commit a crime. Calling George Orwell. You know, I should really read that book one day.

The Left's favorite mouthpiece has once again confirmed his ignorance. At a town hall meeting in Florida on Saturday to talk about the War In Iraq, Rep. John Murtha stated that the United States is more dangerous to world peace than madmen like Kim Jong Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with nuclear weapons.

Been awhile since I reviewed a movie.
Eight Below
Staring Paul Walker, Jason Biggs, Windy Crewson
Rated PG
Some peril and brief mild language
The tag line for this should be "The Will To Survive Is Strong". Amazing movie. Here's the preview from Netflix.

When an unforeseen accident forces a trio of Antarctic scientists to leave behind their team of steadfast sled dogs, the animals must survive a cruel and punishing winter on their own.I'm not big on Drama or Disney, but I loved it. However, there is a warning. There is a good chance you'll cry. I almost lost it a few times, but was able to hold the tears back. Only just. If you're looking for a great family movie, this is it. A great movie that was overlooked.
