A Blessing From Heaven

Sure, it might kill a few people, cause millions of dollars in damage and cause a few thousand to end up homeless but thank God for Gustav.

And on Olbermann's show no less. What a shocker.

UPDATE
Now we have former DNC chairman Don Fowler & Congressman John Spratt joking about Gustav, and it was caught on video. The audio is a little hard to understand, but you do hear enough to know they're talking about hurricane Gustav.

"I think this demonstrates God's on our side"

UPDATE 2
Don Fowler apologizes for his comment and then blames the person who taped him saying it.
One doesn't anticipate that one's private conversation will be surreptitiously taped by some right-wing nutcase, but that's the nature of what we're dealing with."

I Want To Live In Ted Nugent's America

I watched the interview that Glenn Beck did with Ted Nugent, and as I'm listening to him I found myself nodding my head, saying "yes", "absolutely", "damn right". The essential theme of Nugent's philosophy is "We The People". This is our country, not the politicians, and we're letting it be corrupted and screwed over by them and we need to take it back. Read the interview. It's about a 1/4 of the way down the page.

Indian Chris Supports...

McCain/Palin? Sen. John McCain finally revealed his choice for V.P. Gov. of Alaska, Sarah Palin. Never heard of her, but in most cases you've never heard of the pick for V.P. But from what I've heard about her in the past few hours, she's someone I could support. From small town America, same as me. She's pro-life. Same as me. Fiscally Conservative. Like me. She's for more drilling of domestic oil and development of new energy resources. Just like me. She's a former beauty pageant contestant. Just like me. I was rooting for Lieberman as I think he would have made a good choice, but I think McCain made a savvy move picking Gov. Palin. There are a lot of women who voted for Hillary that feel as though they've been dismissed by Obama. While most would probably never vote for McCain, I'm willing to be that some of those 18,000,000 may just cross party lines. While I still don't support McCain yet, after the coming RNCC I think will have made up my mind as to whether I will support McCain/Palin or whether I will sit this election out. I want to see how she does and what she has to say. Right now though, it's looking like I may just support the ticket. I'm starting to get a little more energized.

Biden On Terrorism

1. It's a stupid question. Might as well ask "What's more likely to kill the average American? A swarm of killer bees, dehydration or a drunk driver?" But it's Bill Maher, so there you go.

2. Biden thinks corn syrup is more dangerous than terrorism, and where's the DNCC being held? The Pepsi Center. Oh the irony.
I wonder when the Obama campaign is going to write to MSNBC about Keith Olbermann?
"It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves"
Just replace "Kurtz" with "Olbermann". But it may not matter as it seems Joe Scarborough is about to take a baseball bat upside his fat, overinflated head.
"At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz's lies."
It seems the Obama campaign supports the "Fairness" Doctrine.

ICE Agents Do Their Job

Federal officials say nearly 600 suspected illegal immigrants were detained in a raid on a manufacturing plant in southern Mississippi, making it the largest such sweep in the country.
A spokeswoman says more than 100 of those caught up in Monday's raid on Howard Industries were released based on humanitarian concerns, mostly because they have children.
Boo-hoo. The drug dealer down the street has kids. Should he not be arrested? The mother of two in my apartment was driving while intoxicated last night. Should she not be arrested?

Now, illegals are scared. Oh no.
"We have kids without dads and pregnant mothers who got their husbands taken away," said Velez's son, Robert, youth pastor at the church. "It was like a horror story. They got handled like they were criminals."
According to that second definition from Merriam-Webster, they are criminals Padre.
