How could I close Rockuary with anyone other than Acca Dacca and Bon Scott? I'm not that well versed in the Bible, but I do believe it would be a sin to do otherwise.

Wednesday Hero

Cpl. Jason A. Karella
20 years old from Anchorage, Alaska

Cpl. Jason A. Karella died supporting combat operations in the Farah province of Afghanistan when the Humvee he was riding in rolled over. He had given up his, as his Father described "best seat in the armored Humvee" to the turret gunner who wasn't feeling well that day.

"My son was proud of what he stood for," said his father, Kevin. "He had a fiancee named Beth and he said to me, 'Dad, I don't have to worry about Beth getting blown up in a market over there because we're keeping them busy here.'"

Karella grew up in a strong military family, with his father a former chief warrant officer in the Army, and his brother Josh also having served in Iraq.

Marines recognized Karella for his incredible strength, which he used to carry large amounts of ammunition with him in the battlefield. They referred to him as "the walking ammo supply point" and "the walking arsenal." Well-respected among his peers, he was awaiting a promotion to Sergeant at the time of his death.

Sad news to report today. Past Wednesday Hero, and Medal Of Honor recipient, Pvt. Barney F. Hajiro has passed away at the age of 94. Thank you for your service Mr. Hajiro.

It was a little hard to pick this one. This whole album is full of bad ass songs so to choose just one wasn't easy. If you're a world class air guitarist, such as myself, then this is a song that really puts all your skills to the test and proves you could play a real guitar. You know, if you wanted to. RIP PFC. Edward Mauser

Sad news to report. PFC Edward Mauser, part of the famed Easy Company, passed away on Friday from pancreatic cancer. "No. I was no hero. I was one of the guys. That's all." Thank you for your service, Mr. Mauser. The world was a better place because of people like you.

I've Gone Ban Happy

You know what I heard? I heard that that Devil's concoction, High Fructose Corn Syrup, is bad for us. It's a killer. Oops, I mean a destroyer. Dang it. Well, in any case it's bad and it should be banned. You know, maybe we're onto something. Smoking's bad for us too. It causes cancer. Ban it. Drinking can be bad. Hello cirrhosis of the liver. Ban it. Porn is evil. It can cause blindness. Ban it. Cursing is bad. It hurts peoples feelings. Ban it. Oh, oh, oh. The old stand by violent video games and movies are differently bad for us. When I play Saints Row or watch Crank I always feel the need to go out and shoot someone. Ban them. Trans fat. The most vile stuff on the planet. Even the term should be banned. If not ban these things then tax/fine the hell out of them. See, we need to learn that we don't need these bad things. And if we can't learn that on our own, maybe we need a little nudging.
