The Hard Hitting Stuff

We have an energy crisis in this country and a war against people who want to convert or kill, but there always seems to be time to ask the candidates running for the most important job in the country the questions we're all wondering about.

I hate when they do pieces like this. I don't care what's on their iPod or what their favorite tv show is or what movie make them cry. How are you going to help people unable to pay their bills because they can't afford to buy gas to drive to work? But did anyone notice what Obama and McCain's answers to the stupid questions have in common? They're all popular shows. Nothing that's not on the pop culture radar. No "Big Bang Theory" or "Turner And Hooch", which made me cry. Something tells me, though, that Obama's favorite movie was "The Motorcycle Diaries". It was about his hero after all.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.

People are claiming that Congress has went on their month long vacation without doing anything about the energy crisis we have in this country. That's not true. Congress did indeed revel their energy plan.

The government wants to tell us what we have to listen to with the "Fairness Doctrine", they want to tell us what to eat with banning of trans fat, they want to tell us we can't smoke that we have to wear a seat belt that we have to do this or have to do that and now they want you to make sure you separate every ounce of your garbage or face a $1000 and suspension of your garbage pick up. Looks like Obama is getting his wish. America is looking more and more like Europe every day.

Weather Vane Politics

John Kerry was the best example of weather vane politics and now it's Obama's turn. McCain did it and Obama is following his lead. And don't think for a second they're doing it because they believe it's the right thing to do. If that were the case they'd been on board all along. They're doing it because the polls tell them it's the smart move. I only have two questions. 1) When will Obama finally admit that the surge has worked and 2) When will Bush, and the rest of Congress, become a weather vane when it comes to the border? This form of neo-slavery that's happening now isn't working.
