Really? Because my computer, all the data and files on it, are NOT property of the U.S. Government. But I'm sure this just much ado about nothing. Making mountains out of molehills and whatever other cliche we can think of. Let's all go back to denying what the government is doing. It's much simpler that way.

Let's Talk

Can someone tell me the point of what our ignorant press has dubbed "Beer Summit"? It's supposed to bring these two guys together and work something out, or something. What is there to work out? A cop arrested a man. That's it. It was Obama who made it about race when he stuck his nose in where it didn't belong. And it's Obama who, by doing this publicity stunt, is trying to keep it about race. Sgt. Crowley isn't a racist. He didn't arrest Prof. Gates because he was black. But Obama when right to racism when he had to give his two cents. Tells us a lot about where his mindset and his thinking is. The only thing that needs to be worked out is Obama making a public apology to Sgt. Crowley and the Cambridge Police Department.

Lack Of Posts

I'm sure some of you have noticed the lack of posts lately. While there are a lot of things going on around this country, and the world, to talk about I just haven't felt the desire to do so. Am I losing my passion for blogging? Not really. Maybe it's that I'm just pissed off at where this country is going I just can't do it. It actually makes me almost physically sick when I think about it. I don't know. It's also that my connections has been crap for almost a year now and some news sites just will not load, so it's hard to get a story when you can't read it. No need to worry though. RWRM won't be going anywhere. It's just a slow spell.

Wednesday Hero

This Week's Hero Was Suggested By Deb

SSgt. Darrell "Shifty" Power
86 years old from Dickerson County, Virginia
E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division
June 17, 2009


The world lost one of it's true heroes a couple of weeks ago. Darrell "Shifty" Powers passed away on June 17 of cancer. "Shifty" was part of the famed E Co/2/506 of the 101st Airborne Division. Easy Company. The Band Of Brothers.

"I loved everything about my daddy," said Margo Johnson, daughter of SSgt. Powers. "He never bragged about what he did in the war. And for a lot of years, he never even talked much about what he did – unless someone asked him about it. But he truly was a hero to me. Just like he'd been to the people who know him as a soldier in a [mini-series]."

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived

Paranoia

My mom thinks her neighbors are criminals. She was out on her porch this morning and was watching them and thought she recognized them from the paper. A local bar/strip club was raided some time back for prostitution and she now thinks the owners of that bar live next door to her. I looked but I can't find a story with their picture so I don't know. But when they first moved in, she thought they were setting up a meth house because the windows were boarded up. I think that thought has since left.

By the way, this bar is nasty. I mean "catch a disease just by walking in" nasty. And they have a website in which they feature a dancer, who happens to advertise on Craigslist. And she's not exactly the kind of woman to want to watch strip.

It's not him. I finally found his mugshot, and it's not her neighbor. But the dancer, it turns out, was also the prostitute and his wife. Ewwwww. Day time soaps ain't got nothing on this town.

Is It 1984 Yet?

I hardly recognize this country anymore. We have an economy that's in the tank, we have healthscare, cap and tax, smart grid, government motors, we have a secretary of the treasury that doesn't pay his taxes, a Congress that can't be bothered to read a massive bill before they pass it, we have Obama lackeys, aka czars, who believe in eugenics, forced abortions, population control, human rights for animals, FDR's Second Bill of Rights and the "fairness" doctrine for the internet, we have a government with more power than it's had since maybe FDR and a thousand other things we should be worried about. So a Surgeon General that's overweight is at the bottom of that barrel.

The man who wrongly holds that every human right is secondary to his profit must now give way to the advocate of human welfare, who rightly maintains that every man holds his property subject to the general right of the community to regulate its use to whatever degree the public welfare may require it.

We grudge no man a fortune in civil life if it is honorably obtained and well used. It is not even enough that it should have been gained without doing damage to the community. We should permit it to be gained only so long as the gaining represents benefit to the community. This, I know, implies a policy of a far more active governmental interference with social and economic conditions in this country than we have yet had, but I think we have got to face the fact that such an increase in governmental control is now necessary.

And he's a hero to some Republicans, why?
