Banning Abortion

South Dakota is close to becoming the first state to outlaw abortions.

"In the next six weeks, South Dakota lawmakers will decide whether to make abortion a crime.

A bill that would ban abortion in the state will be introduced within the next two days.

The bill will be called the Woman's Health and Life Protection Act. It will ban abortion, but won't prosecute a doctor who performs one to save a woman's life.

And the lawmaker who's introducing the bill says he thinks now is the right time to try and over-turn Roe vs Wade."
No surprise here, but I agree 100%. What I don't agree with is
"and because with new Chief Justice John Roberts, and possibly Samuel Alito, the US Supreme Court is changing"
If they're putting their hopes on these two voting to overturn Roe vs. Wade, they may get a rude awakening. I think one might, but I don't see both doing so.

Um... "close" means "we're thinking about it"?

I am personally apposed to abortion and think it is used too often as a form of birth control. However, I hope they do not pass a law against abortion. The key is to educate young women about their birth control options and the longterm effects of an abortion (both physical and psychological).
