The ACLU Hates MLK

How else can you explain why they would compare him to terrorists? From the ad, "40 years ago, wiretapping innocent American citizens was an abuse of government power. It still is". Only thing is innocent American citizens aren't being tapped. Known terrorists and those with known terror ties are. Which leads to one of two conclusions. The ACLU thinks King was a terrorist or that they support terrorists. They support NAMBLA, why not al-Qaeda?

False actually - the program the NSA used to trace phone calls not only monitors "suspect" phonecalls (the definition of a suspect phone call is not actually "contacting a known terrorist", but rather "making a phone call to one of a number of specific countries and using one of a number of specific words during that call"), but then EVERY OTHER PHONE CALL that individual makes, and then every phone call that the people they call make, and so on, in a wider and wider net.

For every potential "terrorist phone call" the NSA covered, there were several hundred, if not thousand civilian phone calls monitored.

Look into your systems instead of living in your imagination.

Gasp! This from yesterday's newspaper:

A steady stream of personal information sent by the N.S.A. to the F.B.I. often led to innocent Americans, officials say.

"Innocent American citizens aren't being tapped" my arse. Gotta love you hardcore Republicans - I'm gonna bet that no matter how many facts you receive on this, you're still gonna be making posts about how Bush is being "responsible" and how it's only the "evil terrorists" who are being tapped.
