But Our Hands Are Clean

No one can lie like Howard Dean.
"BLITZER: Should Democrats who took money from Jack Abramoff, who has now pleaded guilty to bribery charges, among other charges, a Republican lobbyist in Washington, should the Democrat who took money from him give that money to charity or give it back?

DEAN: There are no Democrats who took money from Jack Abramoff, not one, not one single Democrat. Every person named in this scandal is a Republican. Every person under investigation is a Republican. Every person indicted is a Republican. This is a Republican finance scandal. There is no evidence that Jack Abramoff ever gave any Democrat any money. And we've looked through all of those FEC reports to make sure that's true.

BLITZER: But through various Abramoff-related organizations and outfits, a bunch of Democrats did take money that presumably originated with Jack Abramoff.

DEAN: That's not true either. There's no evidence for that either. There is no evidence...

BLITZER: What about Senator Byron Dorgan?

DEAN: Senator Byron Dorgan and some others took money from Indian tribes. They're not agents of Jack Abramoff. There's no evidence that I've seen that Jack Abramoff directed any contributions to Democrats. I know the Republican National Committee would like to get the Democrats involved in this. They're scared. They should be scared. They haven't told the truth. They have misled the American people. And now it appears they're stealing from Indian tribes. The Democrats are not involved in this"

Guys, I'm not a reporter. That's not my job. When a professional puts it up on their website, I'll link to it. That's my job. I'm the poor man's Matt Drudge.

actually Dean was right. Abramoff gave no money to Democrats. http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/qind/ From the FEC. You will see no Dems on the list. The list you posted here shows money dems received from clients of abramoff, not abramoff, and that's exactly what Dean said. To be fair, just because a republican took money from abramoff doesn't mean it was illegal. It was only illegal if there was quid pro quo

where did these numbers come from?

Chris, Can you please provide a link to the source of information that proves Dean's statement above wrong? I want to know who took money from Abramoff, and how to prove it.

Chris, as a lame person, I'd like to offer that what you just wrote is incredibly lame.

By the way, did you know there is a video of Hilary Clinton pulling the trigger on Vincent Foster? She killed him! The video is the most important footage in American politics since 2002! When a professional puts it up on their website, I'll link to it.

Thank you Mookie for highlighting my exact point. Thank you Greta for falling into that point so easily.

The Indian tribes that were being exploited by Abrahamoff were also freely giving money to the Democrats on their own.

Sorry if you right-wingers have trouble getting the simplicity of that point.
