IT'S A CONTRADICTION
Over the past few days we've heard "expert" after "expert" droll on about how global warming is causing all these hurricanes. How global warming is causing them to be bigger and stronger than ever. Even how Bush is to blame for Katrina. Gee, who would have seen that one coming? People like these Germans for instance. Ah, but wait, it's seems there's some arguing amongst the ranks. Because William M. Gray, a professor of atmospheric science at Colorado State University, and Kerry A. Emanuel, a hurricane expert at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say this is normal. Now, who am I going to believe, a professor of atmospheric science and an actual hurricane expert or the German Environmental Minister, who's a member of the Green Party, and some German news papers? Damn, that's a tough one.

Oh, by the way, the Germans are saying that this shows that America needs to change it's attitude towards Kyoto. That we need to step in line and sign up. Well, let's see how much Kyoto as cost the world to date...$80,435,745,768 and counting. Hardly seems worth it.

We know the wacko's of the enviromental crowd are screaming this tripe; it was perdicted before the storm hit land. But what I want to know is; where is all the international aid that always comes after a natural disaster like this? Have we heard of any? Hummm? We poured milions upon millions of dollars and equipment and manpower into Indonesia after the tsunami to help those people (BTW most were Muslims, Za) and yet Iam unable to find even one country that is trying to help the US now. Must be because everbody hates us huh? Next time there is an natural disaster somewhere on this planet; I hope all you fools in America who donate to every friggin America hating country will stop and think about what you are doing. Help America; instead of all the rest of the screwed up planet because they damm sure are not going to give a rats ass or help our people. I feel vindicated because during the Tsunami; I told you people who were falling over yourselves to give aid; that they will not do the same for us. Now; they and the rest of the world has not and does not plan to. Never again will my hard earned money be given freely by myself to another countries people for any reason and I hope you folks reading will wake up and see it is a massive waste of your good intentions and money. I have said my peace on this. The rest of the world can take a flying leap from a rolling Donut. They are worthless and undeserving of any help from America in the future for ANY reason. Including going to war for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did a massive research paper on Global Warming. I didn't know much about it, and my teacher was shoving it down our throats. I took a completely neutral stance on it.

3 weeks and 20 pages later, I came to the conclusion that there is no concrete evidence to prove Global Warming. I read arguments from both sides, and from 15 different sources (labs, scientists, the UN, USGS, etc).

There IS concrete proof, however, that the Earth goes through cooling and heating periods. We are simply in a warming "trend," not some end of days catastrophe the liberals try and blame on evil humans.

BTW, you won the contest.

Of course the fact that all government documents on global warming had to be edited to decrease the threat of global warming says nothing...

And don't give me "conspiracy theorist" crap, because Philip Cooney (chief of staff for the Council on Environmental Quality) was outed by Rick Piltz.

You also forget (or don't realise) that these kinds of policies would decrease oil use, thus MAKE IT CHEAPER.

And it's interesting to note that 9 states have taken it into their own hands to decrease emissions, because Bush is too lazy to do anything. I mean, it's obviously not a problem what with all these facts.

The only 'Fact" is that Global warming science is a hoax.

Sure, let's go ahead and continue to pollute the world - what do we care? We won't be around to feel the effects. (Arrgghhh!)

Don't you all think we have the responsibility to do everything within our power to help reduce pollution? Assuming that global warming is still a theory and there are arguments on both sides.......isn't it still a good idea to help reduce emisions, reduce pollution whenever possible?? Are you really saying that pollution doesn't matter? That there are no ill effects of pollution at all? How bizarre!

Yes. I do feel we need to reduce emmisions and generally try not to pollute. The crux of the issue is do we do it at the expense of larger economies of country's; picking and choosing who and who does not have to comply. Kyoto was just a huge attempt at grabbing money from larger economies and shifting to smaller, poorer ones. Socialistic wealth redistribution. Many of the Worlds largest polluters would not even have to comply. I could go on and on with whats wrong with it. But yes; I for one feel my country is pollution wary and in fact leads the world in scientific solutions to pollution problems, but not at the expense of Jobs and economies.

"I for one feel my country is pollution wary and in fact leads the world in scientific solutions to pollution problems" - John K

So, eventhough the US contains 4% of the world's population but produces about 25% of all carbon dioxide emissions - we are pollution wary? And we consume 25% of the world's oil......

Oh yeah - I guess we all know (are "wary") that we are the worst polluters, but we don't have to do anything about it? Please.

And of course you've researched this so you'd know.

Deo, here's something for you to think about. Why is the amount of light that hits the ground measurably falling?

And as to this crap:
Kyoto was just a huge attempt at grabbing money from larger economies and shifting to smaller, poorer ones. Socialistic wealth redistribution.
Without a little "wealth redistribution" as you put it, America would die. Of course you don't care so long as rich people get to keep their money.
And of course putting moneys into countries who need it is supposedly a BAD thing according to you is it?

Has it occured to you the fact that you pay for oil, its refinement and distribution, but you don't pay a damn thing for the countries that clean the air after you leave hydrocarbons floating around in it? Of course, you OBVIOUSLY shouldn't have to pay, it's not your responsibility to wipe your own arse, is it?

So friggin what? You lefties sure love making excuses for everyone exept your own.

Hey..where did my "c" go?

"You lefties sure love making excuses for everyone exept your own" - John K

That might be because we care about other people? We care about the future for our children and others. We care about what we are given, we want to treat the world and each other with respect, we give thanks for the great life we live? Hmmmmmmmmm. Awful bad lefties we are! How awful to care about someone other than yourself and your own!

That might be because we care about other people? We care about the future for our children and others. Yea right..symbolism and talk over substance. Action speaks louder than your crockadile tears over others while enslaving them in welware programs. We could all do without your socialistic compassion for others.

Grr: Keep making assumptions about people; and people are going to make assumptions about you as well. You would do well to quit attacking on a personal level and stick to the discussions.

lol
Yes John, I'm aware Indonesia has Muslims. It's only the world's biggest Muslim nation.

And yes, the rest of the world IS offering you aid.

And it's also ironic that YOU ask other people to stop making personal attacks,

I only personally attack you because after all; that is what you do to me and many others.

Telling me that I have "commie", "racist" friends kind of exceeds my bounds. Telling me that my perceptions "mean jack-shit around here", exceeds the bounds of what I do. Making statements about what skills I have (ie "Jack- off of all trades and knowledges but a master of none") far exceeds anything I've ever said to you.

I stick to two types of insults:
"Idiot" - demonstrating the idiocy of an argument.
"Hypocrite" - demonstrating something you should already know.

Oh, and please, tell who those "many others" might be.
